This is a uniquely positioned and exciting maternity-cover role offering you the opportunity to manage the Royal Institution’s YouTube channels and website. You will schedule video content to maximise channel growth and audience engagement, ensuring that our content is user-focused, engaging, and aligned with our strategic and charitable ambitions to ensure that science is for everyone.

Our digital team sees digital not just as a way to promote ourselves online, but to also bring thought-provoking science and our rich heritage to audiences worldwide, many of whom may never set foot in our iconic home in Mayfair.

Through our YouTube channel, we have already established ourselves as a world-leader in in-depth, longform science videos. Our monthly podcasts are growing fast, and we are striving to develop our online communities so that they reach new audiences and drive growth across all of our digital platforms.

You will be passionate about driving growth and monetising our YouTube channels. You will lead a team of video producers to manage the Ri’s programme of public and commercial filming, including YouTube films, livestreams and partner content, and be the main point of contact for our website across the charity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Ri’s YouTube channels, developing a deep knowledge of YouTube’s platforms and algorithm, scheduling video content to maximising channel growth, audience engagement and video revenue through YouTube monetisation
• Manage the Ri’s YouTube membership programme, posting regular member updates, monitoring churn, and generally developing the product to provide a consistent and growing income stream
• Manage the Ri’s website platform and, in conjunction with Head of Digital, Marketing and Communications, develop a road map for future improvements to ensure all website developments are audience-focused and strategically aligned
• With the support of the Head of Digital, manage the day-to-day relationships with our website agency and other digital suppliers, including our YouTube partner manager, as well as discrete digital projects, to ensure our website, YouTube channel, and other digital platforms continue to grow and maintain a high level of quality for our users.
• With the support of the Head of Digital, manage the Ri’s programme of public and commercial filming – including YouTube films, livestreams and partner content – to ensure accessibility of high-quality science content for Ri audiences
• Line manage the Ri’s Video and Multi-media Producers and contribute to the senior leadership of the Digital and Marketing Team
• Lead on and implement the Ri’s website content strategy and calendar to manage, develop, create and promote user-focused content
• With the support of the Senior Marketing Manager, work with the Social Media Manager to ensure the Ri’s website content supports our mission and provides optimal and meaningful user journeys across our digital platforms
• Manage a cross-departmental group of website content creators from across the Ri to ensure the Ri’s digital content is accurate, user-focused and consistent in style and tone of voice
• Work with Head of Digital, Marketing and Communications to create and commission systems for monitoring, reporting and evaluating the Ri’s digital work to enable strategic, evidence-based and audience-focused decision making across the organisation
• Horizon scan for the latest trends and developments in digital media to help ensure that the Ri retains its place at the leading-edge of digital innovation in science communication

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Experience in digital product management

Overall purpose

The Employment Advisor (EA) plays a key role in supporting refugees and people from refugee backgrounds to progress towards and secure sustainable employment. The EA provides tailored employment advice and guidance, helping clients build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to navigate the UK job market. This role will work with clients at various stages of their employment journey, with a particular focus on those in the earlier stages of understanding career options, developing employability skills, and exploring education, training, and volunteering opportunities.

The EA will deliver one-to-one and group-based employability support, collaborate with employers and volunteers to source opportunities for clients, and maintain strong relationships with referral and support partners to ensure a holistic approach to employment support.

Key Responsibilities

1) Client Support

The Non-Crimes Assessment Worker will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. They will work within the team to make proactive contact attempts with a high volume of new referrals. Their main focus will be contacting the police cases that may otherwise not get referred into the service. Once this contact is established complete initial needs and risk assessments. They shall provide initial advice and crisis safety planning before the case is allocated to an IDVA/caseworker or referred to the appropriate partner agency for ongoing support. They will provide this high quality support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from the age of 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice, civil remedies, housing and related matters.

About You:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and children. Be skilled in risk management and safety planning and is experienced in domestic violence advocacy, who has worked with a high volume of clients who have complex and multiple needs. You will have a countenance that remains calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis and you will have experience working within safeguarding procedures.

The Southeast and East Asian Centre (SEEAC) is a community-led CIC supporting East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) migrants and refugees in the UK. We work to build an equitable society where ESEA communities thrive.

We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead our programme team, deliver high-impact community services and advocacy projects, and strengthen partnerships across the sector. This role is central to coordinating multiple projects, managing staff, developing proposals, overseeing budgets, ensuring monitoring and evaluation, and representing SEEAC publicly with partners, media and stakeholders. The post works closely with the Executive Director and Partnership Development Manager, including on fundraising.

About you:
You bring 5+ years’ experience leading programme design, delivery, monitoring and reporting plus people management experience and strong communication, organisational and financial skills. About the role:

The Social Mobility and Widening Participation Senior Officer is a vital member of the department. The post-holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of sustained outreach initiatives. The postholder will primarily work with pre-16 pupils and this will involve working collaboratively with and building strategic relationships with our partner schools and teachers.
