About the role

As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions.

Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

Applicants should have

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (i.e. Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce with the children's social care pathway) or be willing to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years as per Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (England).
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working and supporting children and Young People to achieve their full potential.
• Genuine commitment to working with and supporting children and Young People to achieve their full potential; with the ability to build and promote trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• An understanding of the issues facing children and Young People and a basic understanding of safeguarding Regulations and Procedures.
• The ability to cope effectively with challenging behaviour.

Following the recent confirmation of the Mammal Society’s research priorities for the next 5 years, we are seeking a talented, enthusiastic Data and Research Officer with a passion for nature, science and conservation who will help us to put strong foundations in place so that we can deliver maximum positive impact for mammals through our work.

Acts 435 is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Content Officer to play a key role in communicating the charity’s vision, mission, and impact through engaging digital content across social media and its website. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a variety of content that resonates with the charity's community of donors, churches, and supporters. This role will help increase awareness of Acts 435’s work and contribute to growing its donor and church/charity networks, while maintaining it’s Christian ethos.

The Digital Content Officer will be responsible for producing social media posts, videos, graphics, and more to support the charity’s online presence, as well as campaigns and appeals throughout the year. They will also utilise digital content to help grow the network of church/charity partners. This is a part-time, flexible position that requires a passionate individual with a strong ability to tell stories through digital media.

As a result of our Christian ethos, and due to the nature of representing and expressing our Christian values through digital content, this post is covered by an Occupational Requirement (OR) under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. The role is to be predominatly home-based, but with weekly meetings in York, so the candidate must be reasonably local to York and the surrounding area. Due to the nature of digital content there will be travel involved when filming different partners and locations. 

HOMES FOR WELLS is looking for a dynamic new Chief Executive to lead our organisation into the next phase. As a small local Housing Association in the beautiful town of Wells-next-the-Sea we house local key workers in affordable rented accommodation.

We are a Charitable Community Benefit Society, a RSL and a CLT. We have a board of volunteers and two part time staff – a Chief Executive and an Administrator.

We are seeking a new Chief Executive to be responsible for the day to day running of the organisation which currently manages around 30 properties.

The successful applicant will have housing and management experience, good IT skills and a positive outlook.

This is a 3 day a week position, but we can be flexible, and we expect you to be too.  Some evenings will be required.

Salary according to experience but we will pay up to £50,000 full time equivalent.

About You

We’re looking for a dynamic person with drive, energy and enthusiasm.

You will have a track record of leading and managing and will have experience of housing associations and their governance. 

 You will be confident in working with local government officials, other stakeholders and tenants. 

As well as an understanding of the law relating to residential tenancies you will have strong numeracy and literacy skills and experience of providing financial reports. You will be skilled and experienced in partnership working and in facilitating the best performance in others, partners and contractors alike.

You will enjoy getting the job done and be used to dealing with multiple priorities at one time as well as spotting new opportunities to raise the profile of our cause.

The Role 

The role is 3 days per week ideally Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with some flexibility for different hours subject to proper support for the Administrator.  Some evenings and weekend working will be required including monthly board meetings, HFW events and meetings at times convenient to Tenants.

The role is based at our office in Wells next the Sea and reports to the Chair.

This role involves managing day-to-day financial reporting systems and controls, providing forecasts for bids, ensuring financial plans align with budgets, and meeting external reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial management: maintaining robust financial reporting systems and controls, and line managing the Finance Assistant.
• Fundraising support: providing accurate financial forecasts for bids and meeting fund reporting requirements
• Budgeting: ensuring financial plans are in line with budgetary constraints.
• Accounts production: leading the production of monthly management accounts and communicating to operational managers.

Accounting experience: minimum of two years in relevant financial management roles in a charity or non-profit.

• Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex financial information.

On 20th August 2011, Flt Lt Jon Egging lost his life whilst completing a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival. He was coming to the end of his first year with the world-famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, flying in the position of Red 4.

Home-Start Essex is a leading family support organisation that provides high-quality family-led services for those with children under 8 years old. By mobilising professionally trained volunteers, we support families directly in the home and in group settings to overcome a range of issues such as isolation, domestic abuse, mental health, financial stress, school readiness.

Home-Start Essex is seeking a professional Volunteer Development Officer to recruit, train, manage and support our fantastic team of volunteers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated and well organised individual, able to motivate, develop and support a large team of volunteers and deliver programmes of training and support.  Knowledge of office systems, excellent communication skills and experience of training and working with volunteers are essential.

 Experience of delivering training is desirable.

About you

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Yorkshire and Durham areas, ideally based in the York area. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the regions. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

We are currently looking for a Growth and Development Worker based in England to join our team. This is an externally funded post which will be focused on opening new provision and supporting existing provision in order to reduce waiting lists within specific funding areas. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, organised, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people. You need to be able to coach, empower and inspire our volunteers and cadets, both in person and remotely, to grow the Sea Cadets.

• Delivering a variety of training sessions on, for example, recruitment of cadets and volunteers
• Developing new growth and recruitment tools and ideas
• Promoting flexible volunteering and the volunteer strategy
• Assisting with running our social media accounts

• Delivering assemblies in schools
