We are looking for writing mentors to support young people in our workshops to get inspired by writing and to boost their confidence. You do not have to be a writer to become a mentor, just lots of enthusiasm for working, patience and passion. Super Power Agency volunteers come from every walk of life. Some want to give back to their local community, others want to gain experience working with children and some just want to help out!
There are no set skills we require except patience, enthusiasm and passion. A good level of written and spoken English is also desirable. Volunteers will undergo training and will need a PVG screening.
We hold monthly induction sessions for new volunteers and ongoing support for current volunteers.

A bit about this role
Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help. Life in a rescue environment is never ideal for any cat compared to a loving home. Our Cat Adoption Team Leaders support cat homing and as part of this they may lead a team of volunteer home visitors who collectively play an important part in matching our feline friends with their new families. Our Cat Adoption Team Leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Acting as the main point of contact within the branch for cat adoption enquiries via email / telephone and social media
- Supporting the adoption process through either homefinder questionnaires or a small team of home visitors
- Liaising closely with other branch volunteers to ensure information on cats being helped is correct and up to date
- Following up on any post-adoption queries
- Play an active part in the branch committee, being part of the branch team leading on cat adoption information and updates
- Collaborating with the Cat Welfare Team Leader to ensure the highest standards of cat care are applied in line with Cats Protection policy and procedures

Many people struggle to enjoy cycling, and some families often find the cost of adapted bikes mean that they cannot share fun times together.
Parkride is a fun and flexible inclusive cycling project using a range of adapted and standard bikes that provides anyone, regardless of age, ability or need, with the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors through cycling.
We require a volunteer van driver to help us deliver our custom-made bikes and trikes to locations such as parks and community centers around the West Midlands.
We’ve got the van; we just need you!
What would I be doing?
· You will be a vital link between us and the families we support, helping us to get the team and bikes to where they’re needed for arranged sessions.
· You’ll be the friendly face of Parkride, interacting with the families and ensuring the bikes are kept safe and secure whilst the team are out riding.
· Working with staff to load/unload the van before and after sessions.
What do I need?
· Minimum age 25
· Experience of driving a large van with a suitable driving licence
· A full and clean driving licence (held for a minimum of 5 years)
· Some lifting will be required and so a basic level of fitness is needed.
· Being approachable and friendly with good communication skills
· Accepting of others who might be different to you and the ability to work as part of a diverse team

When and where do you need me?
· The van is based at our head office in Woodgate Valley – B32 3BZ.
· We have several parkride sessions running throughout the week including evenings and weekends. Sessions vary from 2-4 hours (plus travel).
· We run sessions throughout the Midlands, including Birmingham (all areas), Dudley, Sandwell, Coventry, and Sutton Coldfield. You can choose which sessions you wish to attend.
· All sessions are weather dependent; however, we only cancel sessions in extreme weather. We would advise having a warm waterproof coat and suitable shoes.

Support our weekly Digital Creative Workshop. Join in with our staff team as we support citizens to unleash creative talents and learn how to make amazing online content for the digital world.

Purpose of the role
With your friendly attitude and knowledge of the local area, you could be the support a Midland Mencap citizen needs to access and enjoy their local community and make a big difference to their lives.
Some of our citizens may be dealing with a variety of difficulties including depression, isolation, physical and mental health problems, Your role will be to help them to enjoy their local community in the way that they want; this may include activities such as going shopping, attending an event, visiting a park or a local facility – and having fun.
What would I be doing?
·Visit a Midland Mencap citizen
·Accompany them to agreed community locations and activities
·Provide a befriending support role to ensure the citizen enjoys a positive experience
· To record and maintain basic records as required
·To ensure the activities undertaken complies with safeguarding, equal opportunities, health & safety and other policies and the guidelines provided by Midland Mencap.
What do I need?
· Being approachable and friendly
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge of, and able to travel to local places
· Accepting of others who might be different to you and the ability to work as part of a diverse team

· Good time management skills, reliability

Praxis Future Academy is a new, start-up school based in Ibadan, South West Nigeria, with aspirations to run the British curriculum. The city of Ibadan is about 80 kilometres from Lagos.
Ibadan is home to Nigeria's first university but years of political mismanagement has meant that the standard of education, underpinned by a compassionate, society-oriented value system has collapsed.
Drawing on its foundation in the United Kingdom, the school is driven by a set of values and an ethos that will develop our students into change agents in their immediate society.
The school will start with two sections:
1. Basic School - Age 5-11 years (corresponding to KS1 and KS2)
2. Junior Secondary Age 11-14 years (corresponding to KS3)
-----We are looking for a Head of School that has direct experience of the British school system and values.
We require a forward-thinking outstanding and suitably experienced educator who will share our common passion about teaching and learning; developing the right value system, improving provision and outcomes for children.
a) must be 18 years and above with teaching experience;
b) have experience of the British school system, values, and curriculum either as a teacher or an administrator.
c) demonstrate excellent leadership potential and provide evidence of impact having good experience of the United Kingdom's OFSTED inspection.
d) be highly motivated with a successful track record of working with a wide range of staff, children, and families;
e) show a commitment to and an enjoyment of education within and beyond the curriculum.
