Age UK is recruiting for a Regional Estates Manager to provide a professional comprehensive and cost-effective Regional Estate Management Service on all Age UK Properties.
In this role you will use your professional knowledge and experience to undertake significant problem solving and lateral thinking, providing advice to key stakeholders across the charity on complex estate and asset management issues. By ensuring best professional practice is always observed and complying with the RICS Code of Conduct, the successful post-holder will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of departmental budgets, negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals across Age UK's predominantly retail property portfolio and general day to day property management duties.
Whilst you will be home based, please note this role requires travel across our Age UK estate, so there is an expectation you can travel with some overnight stays; a company car will be provided.
The area this role covers will be dependent on the successful candidate's home location.
Please note: This salary includes a market supplement of £4K up to the maximum of £50K (inclusive). This market supplement reflects the current demand for professionals with skills in this area.

About the opportunity
As an Impact Analyst, you will work within a team across multiple social impact projects. An example of one of the programmes you will become a key part of delivering is the Single Homelessness Prevention Service (SHPS) which is a programme that prevents the next generation of rough sleepers.
The programme supports people to sustain an existing tenancy by negotiating with landlords/ family members, or providing coaching to empower people to do so. Where needed, we help them to find and secure a new home, typically in the private rented sector. SHPS services also seek to prevent the mental trauma associated with homelessness by preventing the escalation of the homelessness journey to crisis point.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include.
· Overseeing all data related aspects of the programme including data collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and presentation.
· Manage all Power BI reporting tables and system with support from central teams.
· Gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data to measure the impact of service innovations for the programmes you are working across. Produce regular reports and insights that aid decision making to continuously improve programme design.
· Taking initiative to propose and implement relevant analyses to the project to maximise positive impact for participants with the programmes you are supporting.
· Building relationships and working at times directly with Delivery Partners (VCSE organisations who are delivering the frontline services for the programme) to ensure they are able to use the data systems accurately and effectively,
· Identifying opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data by colleagues across the programme.
· Work with system developer to manage system changes and improvements.
· Lead the set-up of a new database and associated new contract mobilisation activities.
· Provide research and data to support the development of new interventions.
· Produce monthly board packs for programmes and provide minutes of meetings.
· Support bid submissions with development and growth leads.
· Engaging with other analysts across BOP to share learnings from your own project and implement learnings from other projects in your own.

Job Purpose
As our Finance Manager, reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues across the organisation, you will be a key person ensuring that our financial data is complete and accurate, overseeing reporting to our programme funders and our international network, and ensuring best practice in all aspects of financial management. Ensure the integrity of financial data and controls, including budgeting, forecasting, Treasury and cash flow management

What we’re looking for
· A qualified or part-qualified finance professional with at least 3 years’ experience in charity finance, including fund accounting
· Skills in financial control, compliance, management, and reporting
· Knowledge of accounting software (Sage50 and Sun ideally) and downstream spreadsheet and similar tools; a willingness to learn new ways of handling data
· Good summarising and communication skills with the ability to influence colleagues and senior leaders
· A pragmatic, efficient character with a dedication to accuracy and reliability
· A questioning mindset, finding opportunities to improve every day

What you will need

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision.
APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support.
This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals.

About the role
As our Financial Analysis Manager, you will take a coaching approach to the line management of our five-person team and ensure the team are engaged, motivated and effective, supported to drive their own development and delivers its outcomes. A natural communicator, both verbal and written, you will also have excellent time management and prioritisation skills, while a flexible, proactive and professional approach to your work is essential. Strong analytical skills along with impeccable attention to detail, and a high level of numeracy are a must-have for this role, as is experience of business partnering, or equivalent relationship development. You’ll have strong Excel skills and proficient in the main Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook and work, and experience of using financial planning software is desirable.

About the team
Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. We strive to ensure Shelter is financially sustainable in order to achieve our vision of a home for everyone. This role will manage the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We support the charity through financial reporting, analysis, and expert advice, and enable collaboration to support managers and leadership in making effective business decisions.
