Role Overview:
We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, community-focused organisation in their search for a Community Fundraising & Partnerships Coordinator on a 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to play a key role in strengthening local partnerships and driving community engagement.
You will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships across the local community, including schools, businesses, faith groups, and voluntary organisations. You will support and inspire community-led fundraising activities, coordinate the delivery of at least one fundraising campaign, and ensure supporters are engaged and well stewarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, faith groups, and community organisations.
- Act as the main point of contact for community supporters, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Coordinate and support community fundraising initiatives and local events.
- Lead on engagement for at least one annual fundraising campaign, with the potential to introduce new initiatives.
- Ensure donors and fundraisers receive timely recognition and impact updates.
- Support the development of engaging content for communications and social media.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align fundraising activity with organisational goals.
Person Specification:
- Motivated and relationship-driven professional.
- Proven experience in community fundraising, partnerships, or similar roles.
- Demonstrable success in generating income through community engagement and events.
- Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to inspire and influence supporters.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple relationships and initiatives simultaneously.
- Familiarity with donor/CRM systems and an ability to keep accurate records.
- A proactive, flexible approach, including a willingness to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
What’s on Offer:
- An initial 3 month contract with a possibility of extension or going permanent.
- Hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days per-week in the organisations’ North London office.
- A day rate of £134.39 per day + £16.72 daily holiday for the successful candidate.

You are a graduate or holder of equivalent professional qualification in graphic design or illustration and already working within graphic design, with experience of magazine layout, illustration, PC use in design and the ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (CC), Indesign CC, Photoshop CC and Acrobat DC. You have excellent attention to detail and the ability to plan for, and juggle, competing deadlines and priorities whilst remaining calm under pressure. The charity "is a small, locally focused homelessness charity working across Enfield and Haringey. We provide vital services including a day centre, advocacy and casework, and a small year-round night shelter. We work in close partnership with local agencies and are a trusted gateway service for those facing homelessness. This role is key to helping us grow our reach and impact through community-driven support."

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a mission-led organisation tackling homelessness as it presents locally. You will lead on community fundraising and engagement, working with schools, faith groups, local businesses, and individuals to inspire support and deliver impactful campaigns.
This new role will be at the centre of community fundraising; building relationships, coordinating events, and delivering campaigns that raise awareness and income. You'll also lead on the development of their annual fundraising campaign and support the upcoming rebrand and communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities

About You
We're looking for someone with proven experience in community fundraising and engagement, someone who can build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and communicate with clarity and warmth. You will be confident managing multiple priorities independently and bring creativity and energy to campaigns and supporter engagement. Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus, as is familiarity with fundraising regulations, and a willingness to learn.
There is parking onsite, and travel across the community is paid. Travel in and around the community is flexible across the week for how you wish to make it work. You must have experience in community fundraising to be considered for this role as this is key.

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Creative Communications Coordinator’ to join its Content Production Team, based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
The role
The role holder will take responsibility for shaping and driving forward our editorial, multimedia, and campaigning content, ensuring the right tone of voice, brand look, feel, and messaging is embedded across all channels.
The Creative Communications Coordinator will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging copy for a wide variety of projects and platforms. This principally involves leading on the collation of programme communications, managing editorial to produce thought leadership and positional pieces, and acting as a brand ambassador ensuring IRUK’S voice is synonymous with brand visibility and reputation. As a part of content editing and production the Creative Communications Coordinator will be leading on writing content for fundraising and promotional materials; advertising campaigns; email marketing campaigns; web page content; newsletters and blogs to name but a few.
About you
This post requires a creative individual with strong writing ability and a demonstrable passion for writing, as well as meticulous attention to detail and a firm grasp of grammar and plain English communication. The post holder will be able to manage various working relationships and competing priorities. They’ll be meticulous in keeping to tight deadlines and will be able confidently to adapt and tailor messages for distinct audiences – including donors by different age and behavioural segments, the general public, VIPs, politicians, the media and corporate/brand partners.
The successful candidate must have:
- Proven writing skills and strong all-round communication skills
- Degree-level education, ideally in English, Media/Journalism, or creative writing
- Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and development
- Good research skills
- Good interviewing ability
- A creative, conceptual thinker who is comfortable in a range of writing formats, from serious long copy to a witty one-liner.
- A versatile writer who can connect with a variety of audiences within the British Muslim community and among the wider public and key stakeholders.
- A strong sub-editor and proofreader, with meticulous attention to detail and impeccable standards of grammar
- An ability to communicate complex and dry concepts in plain English and compelling copy.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead on planning.
- Significant professional copywriting experience, either in house or for an agency
- Proven conceptual copywriting experience, ideally gained in a multi-channel environment, across both print and digital content.
- Experience of writing in a not-for-profit context and for a Muslim audience is valued.
