Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.

Well House is a crisis house supported accommodation service that supports individuals for between 14 and 28 days as an alternative to requiring hospital admission for their mental health needs. The service works closely in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet individual needs, manage risk and support individuals to achieve positive outcomes.

The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure members of the local community are able to access critical mental health support at all hours. The service receives referrals primarily from a local hospital emergency department and crisis lines, and may receive these referrals at anytime of day or night.

The Role

Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated individual to join us in this newly created HR and Governance role at Dialogue Earth. We are seeking an organised and proactive person to provide day-to-day support across both functions, with around 70% of the role focused on HR. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, global environment while contributing to meaningful work.

The HR and governance officer will lead and manage the organisation’s human resources, governance, and compliance functions. They will ensure that HR function and practices are fair, legally compliant, and aligned with organisational values, and will support the Board of Trustees in fulfilling their governance responsibilities. This role combines operational HR management with oversight of governance processes, supporting a positive, inclusive, and legally compliant working environment.

Main Responsibilities

Human Resources:

● Coordinate recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and contracts, applicant screening, supporting interviews and collecting references;
● Manage staff onboarding processes and induction material;
● Maintain and update HR policies, the staff handbook, and training records in consultation with the COO;
● Manage the HR system (Natural HR or equivalent) and ensure records are accurate and up to date;
● Manage EAP scheme, training, and benefits (e.g. Climate Perks, glasses benefit, Cycle to Work scheme);
● Coordinate staff performance reviews and support line managers with induction, appraisal, and probation processes;
● Manage visa applications for qualifying staff;

Governance:

Finance:

● Process monthly credit card receipts;

Further Information and Benefits

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting a Senior Casework and Service Coordinator to assist the Support Services Manager, provide guidance and advice to colleagues, and manage incoming queries from service users. The Senior Casework and Service Coordinator is a new role that will take on some of the responsibilities of the Support Services Manager, freeing the manager up to work on service development and strategic matters.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. About the Choir with No Name

The Choir with No Name has been running choirs involving people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation since 2008, and we currently have choirs in Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, Coventry, Sheffield and Brighton. We were founded on the premise that singing makes you feel good; it distracts you from all the nonsense in life and helps you to build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships. We are looking for maternity cover for our part-time Finance and Data Administrator role. As Finance and Data Administrator, you should have a proactive mindset and a positive attitude. You will take a lead on month-end processes and reporting and preparation for the annual audit. You’ll also line manage, coach, and support junior finance team members, while providing accurate and timely financial information to budget holders across the organisation. Experience with developing integrated finance systems (Sage Intacct is in use) and the ability to work independently are essential. We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who can work with us on a part time, freelance basis (Sept/Oct 2025 - January 2026) for a fee of £16Kto produce and undertake the following specialist services:

Main Responsibilities:

To manage the diocesan safeguarding team, offering excellent practitioner expertise and overseeing sound triage, assessment and management of casework, actively liaising with relevant agencies, such as the police, probation services, and local authorities

Leading and coordinating all aspects of safeguarding casework within the Diocese, ensuring that work is completed as required by Safeguarding Codes of Practice, House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Guidance and all other relevant statutory guidance and legal responsibilities. 

Ensure that effective systems are in place for keeping all case files up to date by accurately and consistently recording actions taken on cases using the National Safeguarding Case Management System (MyConcern)

To work with the Diocesan Bishop, senior clergy, the Diocesan Secretary, and other key staff to support, develop and improve the safeguarding practice and culture across the Diocese. 

Leadership, support and advice to the wider diocese including Southwark Cathedral in the development of its safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy and training.

To ensure that allegations of abuse are appropriately managed, and to actively liaise with relevant agencies, for example, police, probation services, and local authorities, and that support is provided to survivors and victims of abuse.

Complete comprehensive risk assessments and safety plans for individuals who pose a risk in the church context

To advise the diocese on all safeguarding matters ensuring that all advice is in line with the law, government guidance and national policy and guidance from the House of Bishops.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Case worker lead responsibility in cases involving the protection and safeguarding of children and / or adults (essential), with at least some of that experience gained in the statutory safeguarding agencies (desirable). 

Broader leadership and management responsibility and/or influence regarding the development of good safeguarding practice and healthy safeguarding cultures. 

Up-to-date knowledge of research and evidence-based practice models relevant to safeguarding. 

Experience of working with victims, survivors and perpetrators of abuse. 

Working with statutory and non-statutory organisations in managing safeguarding allegations and assessing risk. 

You must have a relevant professional qualification or equivalent extensive experience (for example, social care or criminal justice), with current professional registration where applicable.  

Experience of leadership and management, with an ability to operate at a strategic level, and influence the development of good safeguarding practice and healthy safeguarding cultures is important for this role.

Self-starter able to lead and work independently and with experience of appropriate challenge to senior colleagues.

Your experience of working with survivors of abuse will be important in ensuring that we provide appropriate support and advice for this important area of work.

The Head of Safeguarding is not required to be a practising Christian but is expected to  be in sympathy with the ethos  of the church and share our values.
