The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. You will be at the heart of an exciting team of experts, working as the face of HBF and the first point of contact for both external and internal queries. You will be a self-motivating team player, organised, efficient and have a compassionate mind-set.
The role will work closely with the other person in post as Client Services Administrator and jointly manage the workload. The role also includes assistance and general facilities support to the Senior Operations and HR Coordinator.

The Publications and Communications Officer will play a key role in helping the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity achieve its objectives. Key Responsibilities:
· Build relationships with clinical colleagues and in particular, Charity-funded consultants, nurses, researchers, and allied health professionals to gain their support for Charity communications including press releases, tailored pitches, our suite of magazines, and other print media channels.
· Write and edit the Charity’s bi-monthly e-newsletter in collaboration with the wider PR and Comms team, and the Charity’s Marketing and Digital team.
· With support from the Senior PR and Communications Officer, write and edit the Charity’s supporter magazine Progress in collaboration with the wider Communications team and the Charity’s Heads and Associate Directors.
· In collaboration with the Trust Internal Communications Manager, promote The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to 4,500 hospital staff, to help drive greater awareness of the Charity and its work across the hospital.
· Support the Senior PR and Communications Officer in advising on PR and communications for the Charity’s corporate partners, including liaising with external PR agencies and partners’ in-house teams.
· Working alongside the Senior PR and Communications Officer, identify and maximise opportunities to promote the Charity’s funding of life-saving research, modern patient environments and state-of-the-art equipment in the hospital, working closely with colleagues to ensure any Charity funding is appropriately referenced.
Person Specification:
· Relevant media relations / copy writing / communications experience – former employment with a charity, ideally within the healthcare sector.
· Proven track record of delivering beautifully written, compelling copy across all online and offline channels, in the right tone and to deadline.
· Experience of working across multi-disciplinary teams encompassing all communications channels - social media, traditional and third sector media, internal communications.
· Excellent communications skills both verbal and written – including editing, proofing, copy writing and interview techniques.

Prospectus is pleased to be working with a small and locally focused homelessness charity, supporting individuals and households that are facing housing issues across Enfield and Haringey. Delivering services to rough sleepers and those at risk of rough sleeping, their mission is to break cycles of poverty and disadvantage and tackle the issue of homelessness. They are now seeking a Lead Support Worker to join their team on FTC basis, initially until October 2024.
In 2021, the charity opened a day centre, set up to meet the needs of those rough sleeping and on the cusp of homelessness in the borough, to provide daytime respite and independent housing related support. Since then, they have continued to deliver a night shelter provision to rough sleeping clients which is open and accessible 24 hours a day.
In this role, you will lead their single occupancy night shelter provision as well as support the Day centre. The role will involve processing referrals into the project, undertaking initial assessments, conducting in-depth housing-related casework, and working effectively internally and with external partners to ensure clients are able to access the variety of support they need. You will also support service users from the Day Centre, supporting them with accessing services, attending appointments and general housing and homelessness related support.
Due to the nature of the role, you will have experience in building relationships and supporting vulnerable, disadvantaged, or excluded client groups, as well as dealing with challenging behaviours within a similar setting to the homelessness sector, as well as experience of managing and developing projects. It is desirable you have knowledge of issues facing people with ‘no recourse to public funds’, Housing Legislation, and other relevant legislation for vulnerable adults and of various statutory and voluntary agencies and projects offering advice services, accommodation, outreach and primary needs provision.
The working pattern for this position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday -Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. You will spend Monday and Tuesday at the accommodation Hub and the remaining days at the Day Centre/outreach. About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brand, Content and Storytelling team to manage the Sustrans UK-wide social media channels.
As the Social Media Officer, you will work across platforms such as LinkedIn, X (formally Twitter), Instagram and YouTube. You will work closely with the Storytelling Officers and Media Officers to adapt relevant content to suit different channels and audiences in line with our strategic goals.
You will create and share content that drives engagement, increases brand awareness and inspires followers to take an action, considering equality, diversion, and inclusion at all times. You will work to our brand and house style guidelines, producing content that supports Sustrans’ campaigning, fundraising and policy influencing work.
This role covers the UK.We may occasionally need you to travel for team meetings and to collaborate with key colleagues based in our hubs across the UK, and this may include occasional overnight stays.
About you
You should have experience of using social media scheduling to strategically share and inform content creation across multiple channels to increase reach and engagement.
You will also have the ability to produce compelling and engaging copy for social media, as well as having excellent editing and proofreading skills. We ask that also have graphic creation skills such as infographics and digital visual assets, and be able to create small-scale multimedia assets such as Reels.
We ask that you demonstrate your knowledge of digital copywriting principals as well as an understanding of social media monitoring tool and meaningful metrics to gain insight on performance and to inform our wider content and communications plans.

Working within the Policy and Public Affairs team, the Policy Officer will support the implementation of the Trussell Trust’s policy influencing strategy to end the need for food banks in the UK. The Policy Officer will be responsible for delivering activity in key policy areas, with a particular focus on policy development and influencing key decision makers. The role will work with the wider team to monitor and inform policy influencing plans, and the Research team to support policy research planning.
Role responsibilities

Develop and maintain expertise in key policy areas which contribute to our strategic goal of ending the need for food banks, including policies related to the social security system, housing, communities, and the role of local government.

Support and deliver policy activity, including briefings, select committee written evidence and consultation responses

Horizon scan and monitor the policy environment, including attending relevant events and meetings

Develop networks, including relationships with sector partners and officials working in key policy areas

Support – as required – the Organising and Local Mobilisation team in equipping food banks in the Trussell Trust network to influence locally

Support monitoring and planning for the Policy and Research department
Person Specification
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

Demonstrable interest in and capacity for policy development and identifying policy levers and opportunities to influence government

Knowledge of public affairs environment and machinery of UK government

Proficient writing skills, producing concise outputs for a range of audiences

Self-sufficient use of I.T., including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and an ability to use project management processes
