Summary
Are you passionate about fostering ecumenical relationships and shaping the strategic direction of ecumenically-based collaboration? We are seeking an experienced ecumenist to become National Advisor for Ecumenical Relations to support the Archbishops and Bishops in their ecumenical responsibilities, ensuring meaningful partnerships with churches across the UK and beyond.
The ecumenical sub-team is currently composed of three staff, two of whom (including the advertised post) are full-time, and one part-time, with access to administrative support from a fourth (half-time). The National Advisor for Ecumenical Relations is the sub-team manager. The sub-team is part of the Faith and Public Life team and is based at Lambeth Palace. It operates under the aegis of the Council for Christian Unity, reporting to the Archbishops' Council and also to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.
What you'll be doing
The National Ecumenical Officer is a senior post, and the person appointed will work with the Council for Christian Unity to direct and manage the Church of England's ecumenical relationships at home and abroad and will work through the Office of the Archbishops to support the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in their ecumenical engagements.
As National Ecumenical Officer, you will promote, sustain and develop the Church of England's ecumenical relations, with a focus on enabling cooperation between churches in mission and evangelism. This involves working on cross-cutting issues with a bearing on ecumenical relations with other churches.
As someone considering this role, you will have extensive experience of ecumenical dialogue, whether locally, nationally or internationally, and a vision for ecumenism which holds unity and diversity together creatively. You will be driven by a theological vision for the work and have the pragmatism to know what is achievable and at what cost. You will be skilled in working with a range of senior stakeholders, with the wisdom to advise them authoritatively on ecumenical matters.

Summary of main responsibilities
- Provide ecumenical guidance to Archbishops and bishops in their ministries.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the F&PL team, shaping ecumenical priorities.
- Represent the CCU and the Church of England at ecumenical bodies and key events.
- Offer theological expertise, collaborating with FAOC and integrating insights into the F&PL team's work.
- Build and maintain networks with ecumenical leaders and representatives in the UK and internationally.
- Support partnerships with other churches in mission and evangelism, advising on theological and practical matters.
- Prepare briefing papers and reports on ecumenical relations for senior Church figures.
- Participate in CCU meetings, fostering strong collaboration across the NCIs.
Key role requirements
- Because of the representative role of this post and the nature of the relationships it involves, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the person appointed be a Communicant member of the Church of England.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and abroad, including overnight trips.
- Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation to work from the office (Church House, London or The Old Brewhouse - Bishopthorpe, York). Details about working arrangements for this post will be discussed further at the interview.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.
Please note: This role is also suited for candidates who choose to work from home. If you opt to be a homeworker, you are responsible for your own travel expenses to your primary/base location, as the role requires you to attend infrequent face-to-face meetings 1-2 days per month.

You will need to be/have:

Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Specialist (Girls and Gangs)
This is a new role focusing on working with girls who are at risk of entering the Criminal Justice System through their associations and links to Urban Street Gangs in Leeds. The Postholder will work on a 1:1 and group basis with girls in Leeds who have been identified by schools and partner agencies as needing additional input. Groups will take place in schools and in the community. The role will carry on essential partnership working across the sector to help improve responses to girls who are at risk. You will work with the purpose of providing appropriate emotional and practical support to young people experiencing sexual exploitation. Working within a harm reduction ethos, you will be supporting young people to effectively safeguard them and reduce the risk of further exploitation, providing intensive 1-2-1 work and group work within a multi-agency approach. You will ensure that young people are at the heart of our work to empower and effectively protect them.

The Net Zero Carbon Programme team is seeking a Programme Administrator who would play a vital role in providing administrative support, particularly the Energy Action Plans project.
The Energy Action Plans project provides fully subsidised energy audits to over 1000 of the highest emitting churches and church halls, plus a follow-up grant of £3k to enable the parish to implement some of the Quick Win measures identified in the audit.
This role involves supporting the team in executing a diverse and ambitious range of projects and collaborating closely with dioceses and parishes.
The post holder will hold key relationships with project leads and management teams within the Net Zero Carbon team. They will provide excellent communication and organisational skills across these teams as well as across our wider network of internal and external stakeholders.
The role will report directly to the Net Zero Carbon Programme Officer. The post holder will maintain strong lines of communication with the wider NZC Programme team to develop, support, and maintain robust administrative and operations processes across all Net Zero Carbon Programme projects.
- Administrative Support to Programme/Project Teams by providing support in arranging meetings using MS Teams and Zoom as required, coordinating meeting schedules and organising room bookings.
- Data and Record Keeping - Review filing systems, where appropriate making recommendations to Programme Officer/Project Managers for improvements to how records are organised. This includes being GDPR complaint.

Established in 1996, Dialogue School Counselling is a BACP accredited school counselling service covering Sussex and Surrey.
We are recruiting for qualified counsellor or therapist with experience of working with primary age children to join our team and deliver our service at Woodingdean Primary School from September 2025.
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference to lives of the children and young people they work with. You will have a keen interest in and experience of working with children of primary age.
Key responsibilities
·You will provide an ethical, professional counselling service at Woodingdean Primary
·Run a suitable appointment system flexible to the needs of the school, offering students appropriate assessments and counselling appointments
·Manage the tight time boundaries of the role and the often complex and varied workload
·You will establish good professional working relationships with key school staff. This will include discussion of referrals, waiting lists and appointments, managing a session timetable within the school day and agreeing a process for students coming to and from sessions
·Carry out initial clinical and risk assessments and establish appropriate referral pathways with other services where appropriate. Continually assess risk throughout each student’s counselling
·You will be required to undertake assessments with parents/carers and counselling sessions, complete all associated admin and attend regular clinical supervision and line management meetings
·Follow YMCA Dialogue safeguarding procedures; to know who the School’s Designated Safeguarding Officer/s is and how to contact them when a safeguarding concern arises
·Work at all times within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and maintain individual membership of the BACP (or other professional body such as HCPC)

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women who have been referred for support by prison staff, predominately the Mental Health In-Reach Teams and Primary Care Teams.

2. Maintain case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording.

After 10 years the senior project manager has stepped down and FIGO are seeking to use this as an opportunity to review the project delivery model.
The Interim Senior Project Manager role will lead the FIGO Fistula Project on an interim basis and be responsible for the ongoing delivery of the project during that period. In addition, they will be expected to review the project delivery model, ensuring that the project aligns to best practice and delivers in the most effective and efficient manner possible for the future, whilst ensuring agreed project outcomes.
