We're on the lookout for a dynamic Prospect and Stakeholder Research Manager to join our team and drive impact.

The Prospect and Stakeholder Research Manager role sits within the Engagement Services team, part of the External Relations directorate. The Engagement Services team supports fundraising, and alumni and stakeholder engagement activities across the University.

This position is responsible for ensuring fundraisers are able to establish and develop strong personal relationships with prospective donors in order to generate significant levels of philanthropic financial support for the University’s teaching, learning and research priorities.  As the primary research professional they will enable high quality fundraising at various giving levels.

This position is also responsible for providing data sets and detailed research reports of alumni and stakeholders in support of targeted engagement and partnership-building initiatives, thus ensuring External Relations colleagues are able to achieve advocacy and volunteering goals and develop strong relationships with key contacts.

The BNSSG VCSE Alliance exists to enable diverse VCSE organisations to engage and participate in system-wide changes to health and care services. We are seeking a VCSE Brokerage Manager to lead the development of a Brokerage Framework, which will provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach VCSE organisations.

About Us

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) VCSE Alliance launched in January 2024. It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.  

The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is for it to be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector. 

This is a really exciting time to join the Alliance and deliver a new innovative process which has the potential to be transformative for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

The Role

The VCSE Brokerage Manager’s role is to lead on the further development, piloting, and preparation for launch of the Brokerage Framework. The role will work closely with colleagues across the VCSE Alliance and the health and social care system. Ensuring that diverse VCSE organisations, from micro to large scale and that serve communities of interest, of place and of practice are included and enabled in the brokerage framework will be crucial to the success of this role.

The Details

• Location: Bristol, United Kingdon (Hybrid)

• Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension

• Salary: £41,500

Endeavour Academy was opened by the Trust in 2014, it consists of a Endeavour School and an on-site residential home, Endeavour House. Endeavour Academy is for children and young people with autism and moderate or severe learning disabilities.  The School and the House have separate leadership structures which work in close partnership, with some roles which work across both settings. 

Endeavour House provides 6 permanent placements and 5 short break places used for respite provision.  Since opening in 2014 the children’s home has had a strong track record in OFSTED judgements, with the more recent history presenting some challenges and opportunities for development. As the home approaches its 10th anniversary we are looking for an exceptional leader to take the home through the next chapter and drive forwards improvements. 

The Role 

As Head of Care (Registered Manager) you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of the children’s home. You will work with the support of the Responsible Individual and the Trust Central Team. 

The role will be busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for training and supervision. You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. 

You will work in close partnership with the Principal and senior leadership team of the on-site school to ensure continuity of provision across the school and the home and the development of the 24-hour curriculum. 

About You 

You will be an inspirational and driven leader, with a strong track record of people management and ‘taking a team with you’. You will not be shy of a challenge, you will be innovative and solution focused. You will be passionate about team development and an experienced coach and mentor. 

You will have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives. 

You will have some in-depth knowledge of have Autism and Severe Learning difficulties and experience of designing bespoke solutions to children who requires specialist support strategies to achieve excellent outcomes.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) qualification is a bonus but not essential as we support you to enroll and complete this. You must however have supervisory or management experience and have worked within a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years to meet OFSTED regulation requirements. 

You will hold a current UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.
