Job description

British Heart Foundation (BHF) funds lifesaving research. The Technology department is an integral internal partner for BHF to help deliver our overall organisational strategy, which is to support research and innovation, help people affected by heart and circulatory disease, and drive income growth across our commercial, retail, and fundraising offerings.

We’re looking to recruit a Senior Delivery Manager to join us on an 18-month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment, and help shape and deliver new features and enhancements across a wide range of infrastructure platforms for BHF.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating with various senior stakeholders, overseeing the delivery of services on the infrastructure roadmap, ensuring compliance with technology processes and policies.

With delivery experience across Azure, networking and cloud/platform services, you’ll operate in both a project and product delivery capacity to drive outcomes across complex infrastructure initiatives. 

Experienced working across Azure platform services, delivering change and adhering to governance controls with sufficient technical understanding to challenge, this role will coordinate and unblock complex delivery activity.

Working arrangements

Please note, this is an 18-month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you’ll have:

  • Significant relevant industry experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of infrastructure platforms within an organisation of significant size
  • Knowledge of agile and waterfall delivery practices and how best to apply these
  • Be able to understand the different phases of product delivery and can contribute to, plan and run these.


You’ll be an excellent strategic thinker and product leader with strong commercial nous, as well as have strong technical understanding, able to simplify complex problems into component parts for short, medium and long-term delivery.

Able to communicate effectively across team boundaries to create trust and effectively react and respond to challenge, you’ll be a team player andactive listenerwho can give clear, actionable feedback, allowing you to build trust, manage complex team dynamics, and motivate everyone to work towards a common goal.
