About you

As the Service Manager for our night shelter service, you’ll be at the heart of Glass Door’s mission, delivering the largest network of night shelters in the UK.  This pivotal role offers you the chance to make a real difference by managing a dedicated team across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality, consistent service that supports our guests to build a route out of homelessness.  We’re looking for a dynamic, proactive leader with a passion for problem-solving and a compassionate service delivery.

What you will do as part of our team

The Service Manager is responsible for the following:

Service delivery 

· Lead all aspects of the planning, preparation, and delivery of the night shelter service. 

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, directly engaging with staff and guests to ensure high-quality service delivery. 

· Ensure operational policies are consistently followed, providing guests with a reliable and uniform service experience. 

· Manage the rota across three night shelters to maintain adequate staffing at all times. 

· Manage a fleet of three vehicles used for the night shelters, ensuring their availability and maintenance. 

· Ensure all staff are fully aware of service provisions, requirements, and expectations. 

· Lead the continuous improvement of the shelter service to better meet guest needs.

About you and the role

This is a pivotal role, at a pivotal moment for us. We are entering a critical growth phase, which includes rapidly expanding our own operations and managing significant external partnership. As Head of Finance & Systems, you will be accountable for ensuring we have the right systems and structures in place to grow at pace without detriment to good governance.

The purpose of this role is to lead on our finance strategy, and ensure all of our systems, reporting and processes are helping to drive forward the charity and deliver on our objectives at scale. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Directors to ensure that financial planning is effective and supported by accurate data analysis. You will report directly to Trustees as required and ensure that the highest standards of transparency and probity are maintained. 

You will be joining the team during a period of growth in the size and complexity of our delivery. We currently have 24 employees and anticipate growing significantly in the next twelve months. You will have a crucial role in shaping our systems and processes to ensure we can scale effectively, both our existing programmes and a new membership-based programme that is in development. We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with an interest in effectively using technology and systems to drive efficiency, without compromising on accuracy or compliance. 

You will oversee all financial administration, ensuring this is carried out proficiently and in line with all legal and regulatory requirements, including ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all statutory filings are made accurately and on time. Your role will also encompass ensuring that we operate within legal & regulatory frameworks and stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation.

• Developing a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities

• Leading and developing the Finance and Office Manager and ensuring effective support from the external book-keeping team.

• Lead on creation of the annual budget, working closely with Directors.

• Advising the Chief Executive, team and Trustees, ensuring that benefits and risks of decisions are fully considered and fit with the overall financial strategy

• Oversee sound financial administration, management and governance across the organisation, ensuring robust financial controls in place and operating effectively.

• Provide leadership and guidance to all things finance related, providing mentoring and support to the team, and coaching on financial awareness. 

• Accountability for monitoring that the organisation’s services are, and will, run to budget, supporting budget holders and reporting promptly on risks 

• Have ultimate oversight of the external audit and production of the statutory accounts, supported in delivery of this by the Finance & Office Manager

• Oversee production of management accounts and bespoke financial reports, including accurate forecasting, incisive analysis and accessible narrative commentary, ensuring decision-makers have the information they need. 

• Forecasting cash flow and managing the treasury position.

• Support the Partnerships & Impact team and Programme Managers with financial inputs to funding proposals and ensure restricted funds are used in compliance with grant conditions.

• Oversight of finance, governance and basic HR administration, supporting the Finance and Office Manager with high profile or complex queries, seeking specialist advice on financial or compliance matters as required

• Ensuring GDPR compliance across the organisation

• Leading an effective risk management process.

• Ensuring the organisation’s compliance with charity law, in accordance with the Charity Commission in England & Wales and all financial reporting requirements.

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body 

• You have experience in a senior finance role (e.g., Director, Head of) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with Charities SORP and experience of administering restricted funds).

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands on 

• You take a pragmatic and dynamic approach to robust financial management

COMMUNITY HUB LEADER

Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader at -Oasis Hub Hadley and Enfield, London. 

The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, supporting the Oasis Academies and wider local community. The role will hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of projects such as family support, volunteering, advice and support, community events.

This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academy, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as the Principals, volunteers and members of the local community to develop a joined up local vision for the community.

Some of the specific duties of this role include:

· Establishment and coordination of a range of services such as family support, holiday provision, volunteering and community empowerment projects.

· Building supportive working partnerships across the community and various groups.

· Leading strategic development (e.g. comms, income generation, MEL)

· Planning, resource and coordinate the community plan, measuring impact.

· Developing a team that can grow an Oasis Movement (e.g. engaging staff, volunteers and community workers).

The Junior Content Producer is a new role that will play a pivotal role in supporting the Content Team to deliver Drinkaware’s multimedia content strategy by creating engaging multimedia content. The role is key in ensuring that the public can make conscious, informed choices about alcohol and can find help if they need it.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Content

• Manage the Content Team’s production Monday boards, to ensure tasks are assigned, tracked and deadlines are met
• Manage content requests in line with the content development process
• Support the Creative Content Lead and Senior Digital Content Officer with digital and printed content production and delivery
• Support the Operations and Programmes, Partnerships and Research teams with content creation and delivery

Social media

• Support the Senior Digital Content Officer with the delivery of the social media plan by scheduling social content in line with our content panning cycles
• Build relationships with specific audiences through community management across social media channels, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, which includes finding influencers/advocates/case studies for Drinkaware
• Monitor social channels for reactive engagement opportunities and flag any reputational risks emerging on socials

Are you looking for a meaningful part-time role where your organisational skills can make a real difference in healthcare? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Improvement Administrative Assistant to join our supportive Quality Standards for Imaging team which is a collaboration between the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and College of Radiographers (CoR).

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll play a key part in supporting imaging services across the UK as they work towards the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI), a nationally recognised mark of excellence. From coordinating meetings and events to managing communications and supporting financial processes, your work will help ensure services deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care.

What you'll do:

• Supporting imaging services on their QSI journey with accurate record-keeping and communications.
• Coordinating meetings and webinars, including preparing agendas, minutes, and logistics.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of our annual QSI conference and monthly events.
• Managing financial tracking and administrative tasks with precision.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly.

What you'll need:

• Proven administrative experience, ideally in a team-based environment, with a professional and responsive approach to internal and external contacts.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new systems and tools as needed.
• A proactive and flexible mindset, ready to take initiative and support a variety of projects and events.
• A commitment to quality and service, aligned with our values of continuous improvement and delivering excellent support to healthcare services.
