We are now seeking an experienced Research Partnerships Manager to play a key role in driving forward our research strategy through effective collaboration with external research partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that advance our work across the department. 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify, build and maintain partnerships which will push progress for our research strategy;

Strategic Planning: 

· Develop a strategic approach to research partnerships, identifying the purpose and benefit for collaboration. 

· Contribute to the development of strategic plans by providing insights on potential partnerships that align. 

· Monitor industry trends and identify emerging opportunities for collaboration. 

Partnership Development: 

· Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders aligned with organisational goals. Develop background intelligence on potential partners. 

· Collaborate with the Research, Policy and Communications teams to understand organisational priorities and develop partnership opportunities. 

Relationship Management: 

· Support building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential partners. Support the Leadership Team to maintain a network of partners. 

· Coordinate partnership activities to ensure internal alignment. 

Proposal Development: 

· Lead the development of partnership proposals, agreements, and contracts in collaboration with legal, finance, and research teams.

Performance Monitoring: 

· Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of strategic partnerships. 

· Regularly report on partnership outcomes to leadership. 

Interactions between Research and other ARUK Teams 

· Take part in working groups related to the wider priorities of ARUK. 

· Work closely with other teams to ensure that relevant research partnerships with other organisations are well-managed and communicated.

· First Degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science.

· Proven experience in strategic partnership development and management, preferably in the healthcare, research, or charity sector.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

Burnham and Weston Energy CIC is looking for a programme manager to nurture and grow our energy advice service.

The service is delivered by a small team of trained Home Energy Advisors who visit people in their homes to provide advice on how they can save money on their bills and make their homes warmer and healthier to live in. They also install small energy efficiency measures such as LED lights, draft proofing and radiator reflectors. Households are then referred on to further support to help them access welfare payments and grant funding for home upgrades including insulation, boiler replacement and energy efficient appliances. 

The current team of 2 Home Energy Advisors have capacity to deliver around 700 home visits per year. We receive referrals from a range of local organisations. We employ a Programme Co-ordinator to manage and generate home visit referrals and bookings, provide follow up support, and manage events and communications.

From this foundation, our growth objectives for the Home Energy Savings service are to:

• Continue to raise awareness of the service amongst local organisations and the public, and increase the number of referrals and vulnerable householders who benefit.
• Grow the team of Home Energy Advisors as demand requires, to at least double the team by the end of 2025.
• Secure additional funding to support the service.
• Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households, including unlocking funding and support for energy efficiency retrofit.

Role responsibilities

• ​Manage, mentor and support our team of Home Energy Advisors and the Programme Co-ordinator, and oversee its growth.

• Responsible for team safeguarding, H&S, mental health, team building, mentoring and training;

• Manage the delivery of our Home Energy Saving Service across North Somerset and the former districts of Sedgemoor and West Somerset and Taunton, seeking opportunities to strengthen and grow the service.
• Manage the delivery of grant funder requirements including ensuring KPIs are met, budgets managed and reports provided.
• Manage the delivery of our referral partnership contract with LEAP AgilityEco including ensuring KPIs and contractual requirement are met and that households referred to LEAP receive the best possible support.
• To secure and manage further funding partnerships (such as Redress or MCS funding),
• Responsible for ensuring company policies relating to the advice programme are kept up to date and consistent with requirements or partners. Responsible for ensuring working practice is in accordance with our policies and that risk assessments and management plans are in place and adhered to.
• Manage relationships with organisations referring households to the energy support programme and receiving onward referrals from us.
• Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households.
• Develop our CRM and IT systems.

Essential requiremnts:

• Experience of leading and managing home visit teams including safeguarding, H&S, mental health, risk assessment and management, team building, mentoring and training. Experience of managing front line service teams is more important to us than energy advice experience. We can organise mentoring support from other community energy enterprises who have developed and scaled up local energy advice services.  
• Experience of overseeing complex case work.
• Experience of grant programme and service contract management including management of budgets, KPI delivery, reporting and meeting funder requirements.
• Experience of securing grant and service contract funding including applications, contract negotiation and ensuring funding requirements are in place.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Operations Lead who will ensure the smooth running of CCX day-to-day operations. As lead of the Operations Team, you will oversee the finance, HR, coordination of data, IT applications and integration, and corporate governance functions.

The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX) helps the Church make disciples in new and renewed ways. We work with willing partners across the Church to catalyse multiplication, equipping leaders through adaptive learning pathways.

We are an agile missional centre, on the edge of the institution. Our team seeks to be audacious, holding a God-shaped ambition; generous; and committed to working together.

CCX’s organisational structure is a hybrid management model, blending elements of both functional and project-based structures. Project teams are formed to address specific initiatives, tasks, or delivery projects. These teams are cross-functional, comprising individuals from different specialties, typically with a project manager working under the direction of a CCX lead. The two core teams of Operations and Media operate as shared services across the organisation.

Under the direction of the Bishop of Islington, a suffragan bishop of the London Diocese, CCX supports church planting and church growth work in London, nationally and beyond.

We are in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) adept at turning strategic visions into operational realities. This will include focusing on enhancing process efficiency, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining budgetary control connected to operational issues.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

· Evaluating internal operations to identify and implement efficiency improvements

· Developing and implementing policies (in collaboration with the CEO and Trustees) that support the sanctuary's goals and ensure operational alignment.

· Overseeing daily operations across the estate, including visitor facilities, barn and paddock maintenance, and health and safety compliance, ensuring a safe environment for staff, volunteers, visitors and equines.

· Directly overseeing the performance of our teams in Visitor Experience, Volunteering, Estates and Facilities, ensuring these areas not only operate efficiently but also focus on creating exceptional experiences for visitors and volunteers. This includes working closely with HR to foster successful recruitment, professional development, and other HR initiatives to build and sustain high-performing teams.

· Ensuring the sanctuary is ready and welcoming for visitors each day, effectively monitored and managed throughout the day and securely closed at night

· Health and safety leadership - spearheading safety initiatives and training a skilled team in safety protocols, ensuring a secure and safe environment for staff, volunteers, visitors and over 130 donkeys and ponies. The COO will work closely with the Head of Facilities and Estates Supervisor to enforce health and safety policies, address safety issues, as well as ensuring readiness and responsiveness for critical incidents, including fire and medical emergencies.

· Serving as the deputy for the CEO, including leading the sanctuary in the CEO’s absence, making critical decisions, and managing external relationships.

The above role encompasses an understanding that the sanctuary operates seven days a week and requires a willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed to ensure continuous leadership and operational excellence.

Reporting structure

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will have the following direct reports: Head of Estates, Visitor Experience Manager, and Volunteer Manager.

Service Managers are responsible for the effective management of all contracts within their designated patch, including line managing the relevant front-line staff. Leadership and competence development in direct reports is a key responsibility of the role. Post-holders may also carry client group specialism responsibilities, linking in with other Managers and Head of Operations to ensure focused integration of specialisms across the whole organisation. The ideal candidate will have management experience and be based in commuting distance to Sevenoaks, Kent. There is an expectation to be in service for this role.

What you'll do:
Drive business planning activities within your contract, ensuring relevant and challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing turn around action plans as may be necessary
This role will also hold an accountability for staff tracker updates/management for the patch and income management for wider contracts. HR investigations for other contracts also form part of the wider role
Using sound financial and accounting principles, manage contract budgets to deliver on corporate and local contract financial targets
Successfully lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
Work to continuously improve staff competence, ensure ownership of all staff issues and speedy and effective conflict resolution
Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc.
Responsible for maintaining quarterly staff succession plans
Deliver effective, professional and commercially focused briefings and supervision meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting & communications flow up/down is effective
Responsible for managing and allocating customers to support staff (casework management)

Property Management & Resources Officer

We are offering an interesting and varied opportunity to support the work of the Connexional Team and the wider Methodist Church in delivering its strategic plan to make the best use of its property portfolio in local communities across the country and centrally.

Working alongside the Director and colleagues within the Property Support team, you will be providing support and management to Connexional property, particularly focussing on the Connexional manse portfolio and its resident ministers.  Alongside this, you will lead on the communications and resourcing to the District Property Officer network and other relevant networks, across the Connexion.

You will also be a central Property Support team member assisting team colleagues within their specific areas of expertise including Listed Buildings and the Church’s net zero strategy.  This could be through the provision of proactive support of and input into, relevant forms of guidance, advice, communications, training and good practice.

About You

We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive contribution to the work of the Property Support team and be equally comfortable collaborating in a team environment or under your own initiative.  You will preferably have experience supporting a senior team within a property function and preferably have some experience in a property or project management type function.

As the role will underpin and contribute to supporting the team’s work with external colleagues, particularly the District Property Officer network, it is essential that you are comfortable in engaging with a range of stakeholders, and have excellent organisational skills, particularly in terms of resourcing and training.
