The successful candidate will be central to providing a first class governance service to the IAPB board and it’s committees, whilst working across the organisation to ensure all operations are managed in a timely and efficient manner.

Governance

· Provide administrative support to the Board and sub-committees, including scheduling meetings (including annual AGM), supporting the CEO and Deputy CEO in drafting agendas, preparing, collating and distributing papers, and minuting meetings.

· Acting as the key point of contact for members of the Board.

· With the CEO and Deputy CEO, track key deliverables and action points and follow up on outstanding items.

· Assisting with the election, appointment and reappointment processes for board and committee members.

· Manage trustee onboarding, training, and compliance requirements.

· Maintain board records and listings.

· Supporting the Deputy CEO to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.  

Operations

· Assist in the daily management of IAPB operations, including correspondence, scheduling and record-keeping.

· Maintaining efficient administration systems and databases.

· Help coordinate internal meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes.

· Office management administration

· Support to IT and HR as needed.

· Compliance with data protection and health and safety policies.

· Provide support to all other departments as necessary.

· Other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

General

Skills & experience

· Previous experience in governance administration is desirable but not essential, however a strong interest in this field is required.

· This position requires a tech-savvy person (Microsoft Office etc) with administrative maturity and the ability to operate autonomously.

· Excellent minute-taking skills coupled with excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work flexibly in response to changing priorities.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including the confidence and ability to deal with senior stakeholders.

· The ability to deal with competing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Royal Medical Benevolent Fund (RMBF) provide advice and financial assistance in the form of grants at times of crisis and hardship.  Our work is funded through a combination of donations, legacies and returns on our investments.

The Head of Finance & IT will manage the relationships with the three investment managers and the outsourced IT providers.  It is a varied role, combining the strategic with the hands-on.  It will suit a versatile individual who is happy to transition between multiple tasks.  No two days will be the same.  One moment you might be writing or reviewing Board papers, the next you might be managing an IT support call and then later on you might be rolling up your sleeves to post the final journal entries to complete the management accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance

• Accurate, timely and user-friendly management accounts, cash flow projections and other relevant financial information, with associated recommendations where appropriate
• An annual budget and accompanying management commentary
• Draft statutory accounts which meet the latest SORP requirements, producing the audit file and being the lead contact for the Fund’s auditors during the annual external audit
• Full compliance with UK charity and company financial regulations; and appropriate financial controls in place and complied with
• The development and keeping up to date of a Finance department handbook, covering finance policies, practices and procedures
• Successful leadership and development of the finance team
• The development of, and assistance with the implementation of, financial strategies to enable the Fund to achieve its long-term goals
• Support The Finance Committee’s investment management and monitor the Investment managers’ performance
• Managing the payroll function (outsourced)
• Managing the relationship with the pension scheme provider and staff salary sacrifice arrangements.

Information Technology

• Responsible for the development and implementation of the RMBF’s Information Technology strategy
• Management and development of an accurate, up to date, user-friendly database to provide relevant information to support all areas of the RMBF’s work including casework, fundraising and communications
• Cost effective development and use of IT within the Fund, to enable staff to make good use of IT for communication, record keeping and management information
• Managing the relationship with the Fund’s outsourced IT support companies.

Person Specification

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience
• Good understanding of charity SORP
• Experienced in preparing charity statutory accounts
• Experienced in charity investment management; good understanding of charity investment and restricted funds
• Good understanding of stakeholder pension and latest regulatory requirement
• IT literate including database management and development and an advanced user of the Microsoft Office package

About the role

As Head of Commercial Ventures, you will:

• Develop and deliver Lift’s first commercial enterprise strategy, aligned to our educational mission
• Grow and optimise existing ventures such as estate lettings and apprenticeship provision
• Identify and build new market opportunities — products, services and partnerships across the education and wider sector
• Lead development of business models, pricing strategies, go-to-market plans and commercial governance frameworks
• Establish systems, processes and performance metrics to ensure all commercial ventures are sustainable, ethical, and aligned with our educational purpose

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, schools and operational teams to turn ideas into scalable revenue streams, balancing innovation with integrity.

This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities.

We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. With a key focus on: effective and efficient operations; collaboration; and continuous improvement in our Technology, Strategy and Business Intelligence teams.

To achieve this ambition, we’ve developed a new technology infrastructure which we are calling “Sage”. We’re implementing new technology infrastructure this year (such as our new CRM system and suite of data tools – Microsoft Dynamics).

We will be taking a structured and phased approach to transitioning and embedding our new team structures, infrastructure and ways of working as part of Phase 2 of this Project.

Our IT Infrastructure team covers the following areas:

• Fully responsible for managing the technology stacks
• Ensuring the underlying systems and data are secure and highly protected from malicious actors
• Ensuring the systems are available
• Managing 3rd party suppliers who assist us in supporting, developing and securing the systems
• Manage the technical and security risk registers and, with a risk based approach, mitigate risks to the best of our ability
• Embed principles of best value and money saving into all technology decisions

We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.

Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.

This role is responsible for:

• Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
• Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
• Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
• Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
• Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
• Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology

For this role we’re looking for:

• Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies
• Knowledge of Dynamics CRM 365 and associated technology
• Knowledge of Azure services, PowerApps, DataVerse
• Knowledge of sound backup and security protocols
• SQL (SSIS, SSRS) knowledge
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers
• Service Management experience

Clinical Services Coordinator (Mental Health Talking Therapies) - Maternity Cover Contract

Evolve Counselling is looking for an efficient, qualified and experienced mental health counselling manager, to take charge of our service while the postholder takes maternity leave in January 2026. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity with a supportive employer, who offers a flexible approach to working time, benefits and options for the future. 

The post is: 

• Fully remote, part-time hours between 16-21 hours per week.

• Highly flexible arrangement of core working hours across 4/5 days each week. 

• Salary will be £32,000 pro rata/ full time equivalent.

Evolve provides a wide range of therapies to people experiencing mental health difficulties. We work with private individuals and organisational/ corporate clients (via employee wellbeing programmes) mainly through remote video calls but with a good deal of face-to-face work. We have over 45 BACP registered counsellors on our team and our mission is to deliver the lowest cost counselling to those who need it most. As a charity, our surpluses are reinvested to deliver this mission. 

Our ideal candidate for this temporary cover is a BACP registered member counsellor, with strong managerial and administrative skills and experience, confident at handling the working needs of a large remote team and delivering a detailed and personal service to our larger contract clients as well as private individuals. You’ll be working alongside an ambitious management team, aiming to perfect and grow our services. Good record keeping, communications skills and familiarity with confidential client record management systems are a must. 

The key aspects of the CSC job are to: 

• Be the first port of call for all clinical queries. 

• Arrange the efficient use of our CRM system that supports the clinical service. 

• Take overall responsibility for incoming referrals and allocations as well as ongoing management of clients and maintenance of any waiting lists to agreed parameters. 

• Monitor the balance between counsellor capacity and client demand. 

• Provide practical support and signposting to the counselling members, enabling their work.

As part of the NFCC People, Culture and Leadership (PCL) Hub this post plays a key role in supporting and enabling fire and rescue services (FRS) to drive organisational and culture change. 

The postholder will provide comprehensive co-ordination and high-level administrative support to the PCL Hub Team and the PCL Strategic Plan, including a range of leadership development programmes and learning opportunities.They will support the PCL catalogue through the monitoring of risk/issue logs, assisting the development of new products, and co-ordinating short and long-term approaches to evaluation. 

The postholder will coordinate the establishment, delivery and maintenance of a high-quality customer service approach and appropriate levels of administrative support for all PCL Hub activities.
