We are excited to recruit to a post that aims to influence the support for women who are homeless (or at risk of) at practitioner and strategic level.  We are looking for a self-motivated individual who empathises with the needs of stigmatised and vulnerable women at risk of homelessness, can bring people together for peer support and to influence for change effectively and to collate, analyse and present evidence to drive system change. 

The role consists of the following key components:

• Facilitating and support the ongoing development of the Leeds Frontline Practitioners Network for Women’s Homelessness, offering peer support, training and bringing together frontline practitioners and those in the authority responsible for strategy to hold those in authority into account
• Influencing strategy, systems and practice to prevent and/or end womens’ homelessness in partnership with key partners and women with lived experience.

You will be working closely with the management and be part of the team that support adult women who sex work and/or are sexually exploited. You will be providing healthy challenge, actively engaging with partner organisations (third sector and statutory), to highlight issues in accessing safe & stable housing.  You will systematically identify opportunities to improve responses and pathways to enable systems change, as well as sharing learning on good practice throughout in Leeds and elsewhere.

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to play a key role in the finance and broader management team of our ancient and innovative Christian charity, which has a chapel and a pattern of prayer at its heart.

This is a new role established to support our Finance Director and provide analysis of results and performance to support the Commercial Director, managers and trustees in their decision-making processes.

Who we are:

The Dalit Solidarity Network UK is a small human rights organisation working to eliminate caste-based discrimination in the UK and South Asia. Summary of the role:

We are seeking a new Director who will be responsible for working with the Board to:

i) Develop and deliver of DSN-UK's overall strategy and objectives;

ii) Provide strategic leadership to influence the policy and practice of key stakeholders to further DSN’s vision of a ‘world without caste discrimination’;

iii) Lead overall management of DSN-UK, including management of DSN-UK staff, its finances and other resources.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Leadership and strategy

Responsible for implementing DSN-UK’s strategy through specific campaign, lobbying and advocacy activities, including development of key messages and influencing strategies. 

Maintaining partnerships and network support within the UK, with partners in South Asia and international partners.

Conducting joint advocacy at UK/EU/UN level, representing these issues at UK Government level and participating in  other joint initiatives as appropriate.

Operational Management

Responsible for the day-to-day management of DSN-UK, including key  aspects of its internal administration, particularly providing oversight of financial management, annual budgets and the preparation of regular financial and programme reports for the Board.

Fundraising:

Leading the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy for DSN-UK, preparing funding proposals and reporting to donors on project achievements.

Human Resources:

Managing one part time office administrator and appointing other staff, volunteers and consultants in consultation with the Chair.

What we are looking for in a Director:

1. A track record of successfully working at a senior level with strategic leadership and management responsibilities.

About this key role

• Significant experience of working in a similar finance role, including producing financial claims, monitoring finances and reconciling payments against claims
• Experience of working with Sage Line 50 or similar finance accounts package
• Experience of operating office and information systems such as diaries, word processing, spreadsheet, e-mailing, information searching
• Knowledge of relevant computer packages such as Word, Excel, Access, Power point and Outlook, with a minimum of intermediate level in MS Excel and Word 
• Able to demonstrate a significant level of financial literacy

Causeway runs safe houses for men, women and families who have escaped modern slavery. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation Advocate working with female service users in our Liverpool safe houses. In this role you will work alongside a team to support service users living within our female safe houses based in Liverpool. You will equip and empower individuals who’ve experienced trauma to live free and meaningful lives. Day to day, this role includes providing service users with emotional and practical support; advocating on their behalf, communicating with other organisations including but not limited to health professionals, legal representation and the Home office and creating a warm and welcoming environment for service users to live in during their time with us.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.

You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.

You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.

As well as managing and supporting the development of strategic partnerships, the post-holder will build relationships with multiple stakeholders to develop long-term commitment to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Alongside managing our corporate partnerships this role is also responsible for administering our corporate membership scheme, organising Wild Work Days (corporate volunteering), and managing our affinities and Charity of the Year partnerships.

You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing corporates and identify, research and engage new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation in how, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation. 

A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing corporate relationships of all sizes and at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets. 
You must be experienced working with corporates and have a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally. If you want to make difference for Yorkshire’s wildlife and wild places, then we’d love to hear from you.

Exeter-based cancer charity, Force, is well known and much loved for its incredible work supporting people who have had a cancer diagnosis and their families with a range of support.  Their longstanding CEO is now retiring and the search has begun to find that special person to lead the charity into the future.  We are delighted and honoured to be supporting the Board with this important appointment.

The current CEO has worked hard to ensure that the nurturing and caring aspect of the charity’s work is reflected across the organisation.  You can see this in the way that everyone is treated – clients, families, staff, volunteers, supporters and trustees.  We are looking for someone who understands and upholds these values but equally has the resilience and clarity of thought to navigate through the complex landscape of cancer services and support.  You will have held a senior leadership role within the voluntary sector for at least two years and understand the legal framework within which charities operate.  Previous experience of working with a voluntary Board of trustee/directors will be hugely helpful and, naturally, you will be financially astute. 

Of course, you will be an inspiring and confident communicator, able to engage with and present to a range of audiences as well as working with local media.
