Job Summary

To manage talent acquisition for the Museum, working with hiring managers to plan and deliver effective campaigns to fill each role with the best possible candidate.  To manage and develop a range of materials and systems to support talent acquisition activity.
 

Main responsibilities

• Be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment pipeline across the Museum (around 150 campaigns per year)
• Work with the HR Business Partners to understand and predict resourcing needs and plan future hiring needs
• Be responsible for the Museum’s candidate marketing materials including the careers site, developing content and working with the Digital team to ensure content is updated regularly
• Work with hiring managers to plan and deliver tailored recruitment campaigns for each role
• Undertake focused research and campaign planning for hard-to-fill and specialist roles to ensure they are filled with appropriately qualified candidates
• Keep abreast of best practice and new developments in talent acquisition, testing and learning new ideas and methodologies to improve our approach
• Liaise with the HR Administrators to ensure vacancies are posted as needed and candidates are moved through the recruitment pipeline.  Administer an allocation of campaigns where required during peak periods
• Plan and manage volume recruitment events for front of house roles in conjunction with hiring managers and the HR Advisor
• Develop and deliver a range of selection assessment tools and methodologies to ensure we select the right hires for each role.  Sit on interview/assessment panels as required
•  Work with the Volunteering Co-ordinator and HR Operations Manager to develop and deliver an effective recruitment service for volunteers
• Manage the recruitment advertising budget ensuring it is deployed where it will deliver the best returns in terms of candidate quality
• Liaise with recruitment and agencies as needed, selecting the best value partners, negotiating rates and managing their service delivery
• Support on Executive Search campaigns where required for senior hires
• Manage the day-to-day functioning of the Applicant Tracking System, liaising with the HR Operations Manager on system developments and improvements
• Work with the managers of proposed externally funded projects to understand potential hiring needs and advise on timing/strategy
• Work with the Head of Inclusion & Organisational Development on strategies to ensure inclusive recruitment and to meet our targets for increasing representation at every level of our workforce
• Work with the HR Operations Manager to develop a suite of management information reports for hiring managers, senior leaders and HR that give insight into campaign performance and candidate diversity.  Make recommendations for changes and developments based on insights from this data.

Person Specification

• Significant experience as an in-house recruiter with a successful track record of hiring into key roles
• Experience of a broad range of assessment methodologies and deploying these to select the best candidates for each role
• Experience of developing and implementing assessments against behaviour frameworks
• Experience of coaching hiring managers to deliver effective recruitment campaigns
• Experience with developing candidate attraction materials and communications
• Experience of developing and delivering training for hiring managers
• Experience of developing targeted campaigns for hard-to-fill/niche roles
• Significant experience using digital tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter to identify and approach potential candidates
• Experience of working with Applicant Tracking Systems, developing their use to maximise their effectiveness
• Highly numerate with proven ability of taking a data-driven approach and making recommendations based on insight
• Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise a range of campaigns

KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES

· Proficient in Mailchimp, Canva, Hootsuite or other scheduling tools

This includes managing budgets, delivering externally funded projects, and ensuring robust data and evaluation practices. This role heads the Lived Experience Insight Team which sits within the Equity, Inclusion and Culture (EIC) Directorate. 

The Lived Experience Insight team works across several different directorates and teams, to support the development of our approach to put lived experience at the heart of our fight for home. 

We work collaboratively with people with lived experience, Shelter staff and key stakeholders. We help to deliver projects and activities which give people with lived experience the opportunity to influence and shape our work. We’re looking for someone who’s not just skilled in monitoring and evaluation but genuinely curious about what works, why it works, and how we can do better. This is a hands-on role based in Nigeria for six months, designed for someone who wants to work closely in implementation, influence strategy, and get deep into the mechanics of how impact happens. We see this as a first step toward a long-term role at Lafiya, with the fellowship designed as a pathway into a permanent, full-time, in-country or remote M&E Specialist position. We plan to determine the compensation for that role once the fellowship concludes, and it will be informed by your contributions to Lafiya during the fellowship and other factors. 

You’ll have real ownership from the start. You will help us design our end-to-end evaluation strategy, test and refine it as we grow, and generate insights that shape both daily decisions and long-term direction. You’ll work closely with and be supported by senior leadership, contribute to programme design, and build systems that help us learn faster and stay accountable to our goals. 

This is not a desk-bound research role. You’ll spend time where the work happens, strengthening the practical side of monitoring, troubleshooting what isn’t working, and building confidence across the team to use data well. 

This role is open to all applicants, and we strongly encourage candidates from Nigeria to apply. Field immersion is critical to succeeding in the long-term role, which is why this initial placement is in person. For those relocating from outside Nigeria, Lafiya will cover the cost of a return flight, visa, vaccinations, travel insurance and accommodation. After the fellowship, we want the role to shift to a permanent position based anywhere within ±3 hours of GMT.

What You’ll Do

• Help us overhaul and strengthen how we collect, track, and use data – from making sure our monitoring tools are practical and our indicators measure the right thing, to fixing messy pipelines and leveling up our dashboards from good to great.
• Spot gaps in data quality, figure out what’s going wrong, and implement fixes that are fast, useful, and stick.
• Design and run internal evaluations, anything from a quick A/B test to a more structured quasi-experiment, that help us learn, adapt, and improve how we work.
• Synthesise and share findings clearly so they feed directly into operational decisions. We care more about honest insights than perfect answers.
• Work closely with field and programme staff to build comfort and confidence using data. You’ll be training people, co-analysing results, and helping make sense of it all.
• Help shape new programmes by building out indicators, setting baselines, and making sure our theories of change actually reflect how things work on the ground.
• Turn data into action: create sharp, accessible briefs and visuals; host workshops or reviews where teams genuinely learn; write up findings that aren’t just reports but tools for change.
• Keep us sharp. Help make sure we’re measuring the stuff that really matters, asking the right questions, and staying focused on what evidence can actually tell us.

Who You Are

We care less about years of experience and more about how you think. You don’t need to tick every box. We’re looking for someone who’s curious, rigorous, and ready to dive in.

We’re looking for someone who can design and lead Lafiya’s overall evaluation strategy, not just execute technical tasks. You should be comfortable zooming out to ask whether we’re measuring the right things, as well as diving deep into implementation.

You’re someone who:

• Cares deeply about making a real-world difference and sees evaluation as a tool for improvement, not just accountability.
• Thinks critically about what’s worth measuring, how we measure it, and why it matters, not just how to run the numbers.
• Has experience or strong instincts in designing M&E systems and tools (e.g. theories of change, sampling plans) that are practical and help programmes learn and adapt.
• Knows how to design rigorous evaluations, including randomised experiments, and is comfortable balancing methodological integrity with operational realities.
• Can work with both qualitative and quantitative data. You might have run A/B tests, quasi-experiments, facilitated focus groups, built sampling plans, or developed theories of change. You know how to match methods to questions.
• Spots noise and bias in data, and knows how to clean, challenge, or adjust it without making things more complicated than they need to be.
• Has used tools like SurveyCTO, CommCare, Stata, R, or Google Sheets, and is happy learning new ones when needed. Maybe you've built a dashboard or set up a useful data workflow. Maybe you're just quick to figure things out.
• Communicates clearly in writing and conversation, whether you’re sharing a short visual brief or a detailed report. You know how to speak to field teams, decision-makers, and funders without losing meaning.
• Works well with others, stays humble, and is driven by learning. You like taking initiative and aren’t afraid to ask questions. You’re comfortable saying when you don’t know something and enjoy figuring it out.

A Master’s degree in a relevant field (public health, economics, evaluation, data science, or social sciences) is helpful but not required. What matters is that you bring strong foundations, an eagerness to learn, and a drive to use evidence to improve access to contraception – especially if you’re looking for a role where you can take real ownership and shape how things work on the ground.

We are looking for passionate and qualified A level tutors to deliver high quality group tuition to our cohort of almost 1,000 students. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced tutors with a love of learning to help bright students overcome barriers to academic achievement. Tutorials are delivered online to groups of up to 4 students via our bespoke online learning platform.

Tutorials generally take place between the hours of 3pm and 8pm on weekday evenings, with flexibility around the schedules of our tutors and students.

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting a Senior Casework and Service Coordinator to assist the Support Services Manager, provide guidance and advice to colleagues, and manage incoming queries from service users.

Rainbow Migration has grown in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. Your role will be to provide tailored accommodation support to women under probation supervision in the community, helping them to find and keep a home and reintegrate into their local communities. The caseload will fluctuate and service users levels of need will vary.

About You

You will have considerable experience and knowledge of housing law, debt advice and the main issues relating to homelessness and criminal justice for women with multiple and complex needs. You have experience of delivering services for women, advocacy to external stakeholders on behalf of clients, managing caseload and ideally, working in a criminal justice setting.

In terms of enterprise, your role will be to develop and implement an entrepreneurial approach to income generation and financial sustainability.  This might focus on our use of buildings, the development of other innovative commercial enterprise and developing and implementing other fundraising strategies (including grant applications).  We already hire out many of our buildings, yet we recognise that our buildings and grounds, could be used more innovatively and are seeking somebody who will bring innovation to our thinking and enable our assets to be stewarded more effectively. You are an excellent writer and totally at home with translating complex research and policy into pithy soundbites and key messages – a skill you’ll be eager to share with your colleagues who want to learn from a pro.

Crucially, you already have senior level experience of public relations/press management, ideally gained at a charity/think tank/political party/PR agency. You have extensive knowledge of different media channels and tactics, and your communication and relationship building skills are second to none. The GROW Traineeship gives people with lived experience of homelessness and/or other related disadvantages (including but not limited to; contact with the criminal justice system, mental ill-health or substance use) access to paid employment, training and personal development opportunities. The traineeship lasts for up to 12 months, and each GROW receives personalised training and support to help remove some of the barriers that may have prevented them from getting meaningful employment.

We are looking for people who are passionate about using their own experiences to help make change for people in Norwich experiencing bad housing and homelessness.

About the role

The role is working as a trainee Housing Rights Worker with the aim of being able to provide generalist housing and homelessness advice by the end of the fixed term. The successful candidate will be given extensive training, support, and supervision to support them to achieve this. They will also have access to a flexible personal budget to help in your own personal and professional development.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to community hub priorities and be involved in systems change work in the area.

The GROW trainee programme includes opportunities to get involved in developing services in the southeast and across Shelter at a national level, using your experiences to influence our local strategic aims.

About you

We are looking for people who have experience of overcoming personal challenges and barriers and who are passionate about using their own life experiences to help make positive change for others. Good communication skills and the ability to make people feel heard will also be essential. Basic computer skills, e.g. word processing, the internet and email would be useful, but support can be provided. Above all, we need people with a real desire to develop personally and learn new skills.
