PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Job Purpose: To work with the Youth & Universities team to deliver F&BF’s programmes and projects

Salary: £29,802 – £32,565, depending on experience

Contract: 1 year fixed term

Location: London

Hours: 37.5 hours/week including occasional evening meetings

Reports to: Rachel Cohen, Senior Programmes Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

All activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Youth Voice & Universities team.

Delivery

· To support delivery of the UN award-winning ParliaMentors programme (1.5 days per week):

o Being responsible for 2 teams of university students.

o Supporting 12 London-based students by: having 1:1 coaching calls with each of them to offer guidance and support; conducting sessions to support the teams with their social action projects and identifying area for development; conducting sessions to work through any team dynamic issues that arise.

o Supporting with facilitation of workshops related to social action, politics, leadership and interfaith.

o Administrative and logistical support (e.g., room bookings, processing reimbursements, coordinating student travels).

· To support delivery of City Bridge Trust (CBT) work (3.5 days per week):

o Responsible for overseeing the deliverables for this funder, ensuring all deadlines are met.

o Responsible for delivering four interfaith trainings for Local Authorities within London.

o Planning and delivering the annual Youth Interfaith Summit, the UK’s largest interfaith event for the climate.

o Coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, a group of young interfaith activists who will codesign the Summit.

o Responsible for coordinating the remainder of the Youth Forum for Faith and Ecology in partnership with LSE.

o Identifying and facilitating partnerships between alumni network and other relevant organizations.

o Coordinate collection and analysis of M&E data for internal and funder reporting, and production of case studies.

· To lead on social media for the Y&U team

o Responsible for creating a minimum of four posts per month for Instagram and LinkedIn for the F&BF and ParliaMentors accounts.

· To perform administrative and logistical tasks using agreed process and conventions including planning, activity/event delivery, finance, tracking expenditure.

· To monitor and evaluate delivery, and to assist with the creation of those procedures

· To follow a schedule of reporting requirements for own project and leading on the production of those reports.

· To contribute towards departmental and organisational reports e.g. by providing data and case studies.

· To contribute towards strategy development for F&BF programmes

Communications & Stakeholders

· To be an ambassador for F&BF, helping raise awareness of the programme and the whole organisation through speaking about our work in public, social media, writing articles/blogs (primarily related to departmental activities).

· To contribute towards external marketing and communications for the Community programmes, and organisational communications (e.g. event publicity, brochures, exhibition guides, newsletter, social media)

· To be involved with relevant F&BF’s Policy initiatives

· To develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and maintain the database of contacts

General

· To work with others to help achieve the organisational aims (below)

· To be an active participant in the Team, leading on some organisational initiatives to ensure a good working environment for all staff.

· To contribute towards activities to raise funds, such as developing relationships with existing and potential donors, to support funding application writing, and sharing new ideas.

Person Specification: 

It is essential to have sensitivity to the issues surrounding this area of work and a proven commitment to the aims of the Faith & Belief Forum.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills, and an ability to prioritise a varied workload.

You must have experience of the following:

• Delivering a successful large-scale event, including logistics, communications, programme planning and partnership management.

• Ability to work with sensitivity around issues of identity, particularly around faith & belief identity.

• Working with young people.

• Facilitating trainings or workshops.

• Designing posts and copy for different social media sites.

• Building and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders, including volunteers.

• Managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.

• Working collaboratively and effectively as a team member.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To develop, implement and evaluate the Banter Project youth service in partnership with adopted young people in Northern Ireland.  These young people range in age from 14-25 years and live throughout Northern Ireland.  The role will primarily work with the project participants, but has additional relationships with community organisations, educational establishments and employers to ensure that all project goals and outcomes are efficiently and effectively met.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To lead the development and delivery of all elements of the Banter Project adopted young people’s service within Northern Ireland in a fun, interactive, interesting and an ability appropriate manner.

• To support the project participants to play an active role in the design and implementation of a programme of monthly activities for adopted young people. Sustaining and developing a monthly social hub, supporting the development of basic life-skills, and preparation for opportunities in further education, training, employment.

• To support a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in its role to enable adopted young people to steer the Banter Project while developing skills which promote independence, personal development, social and life skills, leadership, and community involvement.

• To organise and supervise the work of the Youth Services Support Worker to deliver the Banter Project. 

• To provide opportunities to connect with, and signpost to, relevant services, particularly those who work with care experienced young people.

• To develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation to review individual goals, track progress and impact, via data and analysis of outcomes to assess effectiveness and areas for improvement.

• To record service activity using the electronic data management systems to collate in preparation for reporting and learning opportunities.

• To gather output and outcome data from the Banter Project service in accordance with the quality assurance systems within AUK.

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. We exist to end the pain and suffering and loss of life among people affected by eating disorders:

• Significant experience leading organisation-wide HR strategy and operations, with a proven ability to build an inclusive, high-performing culture. CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
• Proven experience leading finance in a complex organisation, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector to ensure long-term financial sustainability. Qualified accountant (CCAB-recognised body: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent senior-level financial management experience. 
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence colleagues, Trustees, and external partners.
• Sound understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to Beat’s mission, values, and to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion.

Knowing who does what PPM role in schools will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

• Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

• Digital marketing integration and automation: integrating and automating digital marketing platforms like eg MailChmip, Hubspot, Airtable and Zapier. Automating drip campaigns and email workflows.

About SOS – Silence of Suicide

Founded in 2015 by Michael and Yvette Mansfield, SOS Silence of Suicide exists to break the silence around mental health and suicide. Initially a peer-support group, SOS is now a growing charity offering multi-channel support services via a national helpline, mobile hubs, and in-person outreach. The Role
