About the Role

The Head of Finance will work closely with the Management Accountant and Senior Financial Officer to ensure the integrity of the financial controls, policies and procedures of the organisation and timely, accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Within the business they will be a trusted advisor on areas of financial governance and reporting. You will work alongside the Director of Finance and Business Support to facilitate strategic decision making with reference to robust financial evidence.

The Head of Finance will have line management responsibilities for the Management Accountant and the Senior Financial Officer.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leader with an excellent track record of providing financial services in the not for profit sector. You will have an in depth understanding of delivering central/local authority contracts, grants and fundraising. Our ideal candidate will be someone with a qualified and experienced finance professional background, with a strong track record in financial leadership, ideally within the non-profit or charity sector. Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking for a project Administrator to maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital, a project supporting young people who have experienced violence which has had a negative impact on their mental wellbeing.

Duties Include;

1. Updating and maintaining the project’s database from local NHS systems.

2. Identifying young people eligible for the service by screening referrals or trawling the hospital system and ensuring these are collated on the project database to be contacted by the youth workers.

3. Quality assure the data being recorded on the EVIDE system.

4. Preparing regular reports as required by the projects funders or other stakeholders.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience with administration, including using excel, word and other Microsoft systems.

· Have an eye for detail and accuracy.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

We’re looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic Individual Giving Officer to join our friendly and supportive development team. You don’t need years of experience in fundraising, we’re more interested in your drive, creativity, and willingness to learn. You’ll get all the training and support you need to succeed and grow in this role.

You might have experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, or customer service. You’ll be organised, proactive, and a great communicator. Comfortable juggling projects, you’ll also be confident using Excel and keen to develop your analytical skills. An interest in fundraising is essential, and previous experience with direct marketing would be desirable.

In this varied and exciting role, you’ll help deliver fundraising campaigns that inspire and retain our amazing supporters. You’ll be involved in planning and running direct marketing campaigns using a range of channels. Including our established raffle programme and a calendar of supporter engagement and retention activity. You’ll also help to analyse results, test new ideas, and find ways to improve future campaigns.

You’ll speak to supporters regularly, ensuring they receive great supporter stewardship. And you’ll work closely with teams across the MS Society, including Supporter Care, Brand, Digital and Data and with external suppliers like creative agencies and print partners. This is a collaborative role where your ideas and input will be valued.

What you’ll do

Working alongside two other researchers, you will assess banks’ positions on climate change and other sustainability themes. This involves collecting information from banks’ disclosures and external databases, analysing quantitative and qualitative data, and translating insights into actionable steps for banks and investors engaging with banks, among other stakeholders. You will have many opportunities to challenge banks and shape sustainability standards for the banking sector by contributing to:

• Investor briefings and short research notes reviewing climate commitments made by individual banks.
• Banking sector benchmark, ranking European banks on their approach to climate change and other sustainability themes.
• Thematic reports and internal position papers reviewing how the European banking sector aims to address specific issues and/or the relevant standards banks rely on.

This role would be perfect for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys making sense of complex information and translating it into actionable insights. You’ll thrive if you’re curious about how banks are responding to the climate crisis, eager to get stuck into analysing sustainability data, and excited by the idea of shaping how banks are held to account on their environmental and social impacts. What you’ll bring to the team

• A broad understanding of how the financial sector works and how financial institutions can impact sustainability issues, particularly climate change.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt your writing style for a range of different audiences and to present ideas and concepts effectively and persuasively.

It would also be great – but not essential – if you have:

• Experience using financial databases such as Eikon and Bloomberg or the ability to pick up new types of technologies or software quickly.
• Experience developing and/or managing databases using Excel or other applications.
