The important stuff
Salary: £22,222 pro-rated for 3 days
Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm, Tuesday –Thursday, Part-time, with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations)

Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work.
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations.
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre.
Church Community
- The Spear Coach is directly employed by The Mount, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community.
- Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within The Mount, and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation.
- Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

Overall purpose of the role
The Trusts and Foundations Officer role will be responsible for securing five-figure funding from Trusts and Foundations and management of existing donor relationships to ensure effective stewardship. The role will also manage small Trust mailings and provide wider support to the team by maintaining funder records in Raisers Edge, developing case for support and supporting internal reporting on Trust fundraising activity.
We’re looking for an experienced Trust Fundraiser who can drive forward our income growth from both our existing and new supporters with skills in researching Trusts, writing compelling funding proposals and reports and in particular growing the medium Trust fundraising programme.
There are four key areas of responsibility for the role:
i) Identifying and researching Trusts that have the ability to give at the five-figure level, maintaining a pipeline of planned applications.
ii) Preparing high quality, written applications and reports to funders.
iii) Reviewing and growing a small Trust mailing programme (under 10K)
iv) Provision of support to the team in Raisers Edge data management and internal reporting.

Role Purpose
We have been operating Volunteer Centre Newcastle (VCN) since 2005. The Volunteer Centre provides a wide range of support, around all things volunteering, to over 1200 charities, organisations, and groups locally. We also support 2500+ members of the public each year, who are interested in volunteering and need some support to get started.
As our Volunteer Centre Officer, you will play an important role in promoting and supporting volunteering across Newcastle. You will help more people get involved in volunteering and make sure that volunteering is valued and recognised across the city.
We are looking for someone who understands “good practice” around volunteering, can work flexibly, and who shows a strong commitment to our organisations values.
Working alongside the Volunteer Centre Manager, you will:
Support charities, organisations and groups in that involve volunteers
This includes giving advice on how to manage volunteers, helping them create and promote volunteer roles, supporting them to take on more volunteers, offering guidance on policies and processes, delivering training, taking part in volunteer network forums, and helping solve problems when needed.
Support people who want to volunteer, helping them take their next steps
You will talk with members of the public to understand their interests, goals, and any support needs. You will match them with suitable volunteering opportunities. You will offer information, advice, and guidance to help them get involved in volunteering across Newcastle through one-to-one appointments and in person events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide effective support running a busy Volunteer Centre, working closely with various other stakeholders such as colleagues, volunteers, partners, Newcastle City Council and the public
• Supporting the Project Manager to manage a group of internal volunteers, ensuring they are valued and supported
• Supporting the city’s volunteering database which is hosted on VCN website, ensuring opportunities are kept up to date, and helping individuals to find and apply for a suitable role
• Provide a wide range of support to organisations or groups who involve volunteers – providing advice on guidance on volunteering policies and practices, helping to identify and develop new volunteering roles, advertising roles, and more
• Supporting the Project Manager to deliver organisational training, forums and networks
• Developing, designing, and publishing marketing and promotional materials related to Volunteer Centre Newcastle and distributing these in various locations across the city
• Provide effective support to ensure we have an appropriate, up to date and engaging website and social media channels.

• Help to ensure the Volunteer Centre is delivered in line with Volunteering Matters organisational policies, including risk management, quality assurance and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
• Administrative tasks including the use of Office 365 and internal databases and files.
• Attending meetings and forums with other partners and Volunteer Centers locally, reporting back on our successes and challenges
• Ensuring monitoring, impact and evaluation information and data is collected and recorded, and that Volunteer Centre Newcastle meets its agreed targets, reporting format and schedule.
Skills Required

Core Purpose:
The Senior Mass Participation Events Officer will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of Make-A-Wish UK’s mass participation events portfolio, most notably the London Marathon, as well as other third-party and Make-A-Wish owned products (e.g. walks, runs, virtual events).
This position will lead on event delivery, support new product development, and coordinate marketing and supporter journey planning. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery, exceptional supporter experiences, and continuous improvement across the programme. This role sits within the Public Fundraising team who are responsible for individual giving, legacies, community fundraising, third party Mass Participation events, and owned fundraising products and events. Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Support the development and implementation of multi-year plans for mass participation events across a broad range of markets, activities and products.
- Lead on the delivery of a range of third-party challenge events, owned products and virtual events, including recruitment and onboarding of new supporters, stewardship of supporters, budget management, event planning and logistics, volunteer management, and evaluation and reporting on events, taking learnings forward to improve future events. This role will primarily manage the London Marathon, which is our biggest third-party fundraising event, bringing in around 50% of all third-party events income.
- Contribute to the innovation pipeline by identifying opportunities for new products and enhancements and supporting the development of minimum viable products.

This is an exciting time to join the London Survivors Collective as a Navigator. You will act as first point of contact for survivors of sexual violence and the professionals supporting them, by providing holistic and non-judgemental information, advice and support.
You will support survivors to access additional specialist sexual violence services through trauma-informed triage and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate and deliver the Women in Work project to agreed MKCC targets.

Maintain strong communication with MKCC through monthly reports, evaluation and meetings.

Funding & Communications

Write accurate, detailed bids for future project funding.

Client Support & Engagement

We are seeking a highly motivated and resilient Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join our team within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will identify domestic abuse concerns at the earliest point, complete risk assessments, and ensure survivors receive timely, trauma-informed, coordinated safeguarding support. This role suits someone calm under pressure, confident managing complex risk and committed to effective multi-agency working.

Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Provide specialist advice, information and follow-up support to survivors.
- Complete risk assessments and develop tailored safety and support plans.
- Deliver crisis intervention, safety planning and risk management.
- Support access to refuge accommodation as required.
- Explain housing, civil and criminal justice options to support informed decisions.
- Maintain accurate, confidential case records.
- Strengthen survivors’ support networks and ensure coordinated multi-agency responses.
- Attend and contribute to MARAC and child protection meetings, producing reports where required.
- Manage a small caseload alongside wider MASH duties.
Partnership Working
- Provide expert domestic abuse guidance to MASH and Children’s Services professionals.
- Promote awareness of domestic abuse and MK Act services.
- Attend partnership and inter-agency meetings.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with partner agencies.
- Contribute to monitoring, data collection and service evaluation.
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Work in line with MK Together, MK Act and local safeguarding procedures.
- Follow GDPR, confidentiality and data protection requirements.
- Attend supervision, training and team meetings.
- Support the organisation in maintaining national accreditation standards.
About You
