In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, client-centred therapeutic services to individuals affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses and bereavement. The Head of Client Services will ensure the effective management of both freelance therapists and PAYE staff, fostering a collaborative environment that upholds CancerCare’s commitment to compassionate and flexible support.

CancerCare is a local, independent charity who provide complementary services and counselling to adults and children affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses and bereavement. 

Hours: Variable up to 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £40,182 based on 37.5 hours per week

• Carrying out daily income and bank reconciliations, posting income to our CRM system (Salesforce), and monitoring Direct Debit payments

• Processing staff expenses and business credit card transactions, ensuring all costs are accurately allocated

• Supporting month-end tasks, including income reconciliations, credit notes, journal postings, and submitting Gift Aid claims to HMRC

• Preparing regular internal and external financial reports, including sponsorship and earmarked donation summaries for the International Office

• Assisting with the annual external audit and maintaining clear process documentation.

Main duties of the job

About the role

About you

This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.

You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.  Please note you must also be willing and available to work flexibly across 7 days per week according to a rota which will be agreed in advance with your manager.

About this job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Income and Gift Aid Accountant Assistant to help us make sure every penny counts in our mission to stop MS. You'll play a key role in managing our income processing and supporting Gift Aid claims to help us maximise the value of every donation.

You'll ensure that donations recorded in our CRM system match the funds received, resolving discrepancies and supporting our income processes to run efficiently. Working closely with our Customer Services and Fundraising teams you’ll be at the heart of making sure our financial data is accurate and robust.

You’ll also assist with preparing and checking Gift Aid claims, helping us claim back vital extra funds at no additional cost to our supporters. Your detail driven approach will help us continue to build a strong and transparent foundation for everything we do.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a good understanding of financial accounting principles, strong Excel and IT skills, and a collaborative problem-solving approach. Excellent communication and organisational skills will also be essential as you work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure our income records are accurate and efficient.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery. 

Our ISAC Service is a small team, providing specialist stalking advice, consultancy and support to high risk victims of stalking across Gloucestershire. You will be working in a multi-agency environment including police, other statutory bodies and third sector organisations to respond to and safeguard high risk victims, bridging gaps in their support. 

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.

This role may include evening and weekend work when required. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Work with high risk victims of stalking, providing a targeted service, promoting safety as the central issue and thus reducing the risk of serious harm or death.

 In this role you will have opportunity to design and deliver innovative youth group support programmes (12- 24 year olds) & other activities; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support, guidance and mentoring on a one-to-one basis; work with our wider family work programme, support families with LGBTQ+ children and deliver work in schools to students & teaching staff.  You will have the responsibity to support volunteer mentors.

You will be responsible for the direct delivery of elop’s LGBTQ+ Young Peoples Service, including promotion, & administration, along with the induction, support & supervision of volunteers and interns.  You will work alongside the wider staff team to support elop’s work with LGBTQ+ young people and contribute to sustainable service development.

The delivery of group support and activities will take place in person, and you will be office based three days a week with some remote working on other days before returning to full time in person working.

With new leadership installed at both lay and staff levels and a consultation process underway for the development of a five and fifteen-year strategy the Museum is looking for a new member of the team to assist in running the day-to-day administration of the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team the appointed candidate will have the organisational and administrative skills to ensure the Museum can effectively run its programmes and help grow the organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
The main role of the Executive Assistant will be to administrate the activities of the Museum. Organizing key meetings on behalf of the Senior Leadership Team (this will include Finance, Ops, Collections and Learning) will be a key part of the role. Excellent communication skills are required as this role will involve liaising with a wide range of
internal and external stakeholders. You will assist with social media and general comms as the Museum’s digital presence continues to develop.
From time to time, you may be asked to provide research and presentations for meetings. In consultation with the Finance Director and Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day logistics of Museum activities.
