Job description

Are you a proactive and organised individual with a passion for creating memorable experiences? We’re looking for an Events Executive to lead the planning and delivery of a vibrant calendar of community events.

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with our Rabbinic Team, office staff, and dedicated volunteers to coordinate everything from large-scale celebrations like Chanukah and Purim to youth programmes and family socials. You’ll be at the heart of our community, ensuring every event runs smoothly, stays within budget, and leaves a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our events calendar
  • Plan and oversee logistics for a wide range of events
  • Supervise event set-up and execution
  • Collaborate with internal teams and volunteers
  • Design promotional materials and manage bookings
  • Promote events across social media and community channels

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in event planning and coordination
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Creativity and initiative in bringing ideas to life

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within a welcoming and active community. If you’re ready to take on a rewarding role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you!

The United Synagogue is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Successful applicants will be required to provide a self-disclosure once shortlisted and subject to an enhanced DBS check within the recruitment process.
