As Director of Fundraising, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team delivering on the strategic objectives of the charity with responsibility for raising £4m this financial year in voluntary income for the Childhood Trust across trusts & foundations, corporates, major donors and community.  Delivering growth year on year to support the ambitious plans of the organisation.  Directly managing three ‘Heads Of’ fundraising roles, you will create a new fundraising strategy, steer the fundraising team’s activities, secure funding, and cultivate relationships that fuel our mission.

Reporting into the Sizewell C Community Fund Project Manager, the Sizewell C Community Fund Grants Officer will work as part of the Foundation’s grants team which ensures the effective and efficient delivery of the Foundation’s grantmaking through established funding programmes.

You will work specifically to oversee the management of grants within the overall programme. You will be the primary contact to advise, and support applicant organisations, support the distribution of the Fund to voluntary and community organisations across East Suffolk and monitor the use and impact of the grant awards.

You will proactively work in the heart of local communities, understanding what provision and resources are available, building relationships and exploring potential new ideas for grant funding opportunities, including project delivery and capital projects.

You will deal with fund enquiries, undertake application assessments and due diligence checks ensuring that supporting documentation is provided and compliant, and prepare panel papers.

You will also contribute to capturing the impact of the Sizewell C Community Fund, visiting funded projects to monitor progress of their projects, supporting where necessary and capturing feedback.

We are looking for a fundraiser to lead, manage and deliver the fundraising strategy and activities of SBS. Develop relationships, networks and communication channels to advance the work and objectives of SBS across all types of existing and potential new supporters (e.g. individuals, churches & communities, major donors, trusts & foundations).  

You will be passionate about the transformational impact of the Bible and motivated to use your extensive fundraising experience to amplify stories from Scotland and around the world to resonate with a Scottish Christian audience. 

You will continue to cultivate and steward our relationships and partnerships with supporters.

You will have a talent for motivating others to do their best work, coaching them to work collaboratively across SBS.  

Faith requirement – to engage with existing and new SBS audiences, this role carries an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian.  An understanding of the different Christian communities in Scotland and playing an active part in the spiritual life of the organisation is vital to this role. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all the fundraising activities of SBS, including management of the fundraising team.
• Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy in line with the overall strategy for SBS, this includes taking a lead in the forecasting and setting of fundraising targets.
• Take a lead in the recruitment and retainment of individual donors by developing and managing appropriate activities to expand the SBS donor base, exploring and implementing various methods to achieve this.
• Supervise the recruitment and retainment of support from churches and communities (including Action Groups) by developing relationships with them and ensuring they are equipped and encouraged to fundraise.
• Develop a major donor fundraising programme and manage long-term relationships.
• Help identify opportunities and support applications to charitable trusts, grant making bodies and companies, and assist in managing subsequent relationships with funding partners.
• Develop and manage a programme focused on legacy giving across all supporter types.
• Research, test and develop fundraising ideas and opportunities for income generation across all supporter types and all channels of communication.  Report on test results with a view to constantly evolving SBS tactics to meet objectives.
• Provide regular reporting on all fundraising activities, for Senior Staff and Board.  Provide up to date income levels by source, any associated expenditure and what the overall ROI is for SBS.  Be able to provide this as verbal updates and electronically - making comparisons against projections, historical performance and industry averages.
• Keep up to date and ensure SBS complies with fundraising legislation, standards and best practice including GDPR and PECR.
• Support SBS with detailed knowledge of the United Bible Societies (UBS) fellowship projects SBS support and provide a steer on what opportunities there are that would fit with the overall strategy for SBS.
• Set objectives for the Fundraising team in line with the fundraising strategy and overall strategy for SBS.
• Motivate and support staff in setting their personal objectives and managing their performance by providing encouragement, feedback and having regular 1-2-1s with them so they achieve their objectives and that of the team, department and overall SBS objectives.
• Fulfill line management responsibilities in line with policies and procedures for line managers at SBS (e.g. appraisals, holiday requests, absence monitoring, recruitment).

About you

• SBS believes that spiritual maturity, character and behaviour are just as important as fundraising competence, therefore you will be a devoted follower of Jesus with a passion for the Bible. You will be active in a local church that supports your vocation and provides spiritual support.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior fundraising or development position.
• Proven track record of leading fundraising strategy and campaigns for a charitable organisation, or a background in campaign management driving sales for a commercial organisation.
• Confidence in testing and optimising campaign activity and strategies through a robust, analytical methodology.
• Experience working for charitable organisations, or in international development or similar areas, interacting with a board of directors and with an understanding of charity reporting.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage projects and organise your own workload and that of direct line reports.
• Strong leadership and people management skills balanced with a willingness to listen and learn from others.  A genuine interest in developing people.
• A natural preference for collaboration and teamwork, able to interact and manage a wide range of stakeholders at different levels of seniority, sometimes in a cross-cultural context, to deliver the best possible outcome for the charity.
• Excellent working knowledge of GDPR, advertising standards, fundraising standards, and other industry governance.

The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was founded in 2009 after Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend were attacked because of their alternative appearance. Sophie later died from her injuries. The Foundation was created by Sophie’s mother Sylvia to address prejudice against alternative subcultures and to promote understanding and tolerance through education, advocacy and policy work.

Although a small organisation, we have big impact and reach. We advocate for the alternative community through policy and campaigning work and provide support following hate crime. And we also run workshops aimed at reducing discrimination and challenging stereotypes. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Fundraiser to help secure the charity’s financial stability and support its growth.

The role involves creating a fundraising function from the bottom up and then developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. Diverse income streams to be targeted include corporate partnerships, individual donors, grants and foundations, events and digital campaigns. You’ll work closely with the team, CEO and Trustees to ensure fundraising activities align with our clear objectives.

Responsible for creating and delivering a fundraising plan that meets income targets, you’ll identify funding opportunities that align with our mission. This is an exciting career opportunity for an individual who is keen to use their skills and knowledge to make a positive impact and advance the understanding of weather and climate in society through informal education. In this role, you will provide scientific support across science engagement project development, delivery and wider RMetS team operations. • Extensive knowledge across weather and climate, and evidence of involvement in activities to ensure ongoing current knowledge across diverse areas.
• Experience in communicating scientific concepts and information to a different range of stakeholders (for example policy makers, the wider scientific and social science community, or the general public).
• A friendly and open-minded approach, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a small team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare documentation for outside stakeholders and willing to communicate with the media.

The Role 

Key Responsibilities 

Grants Administration and Co-ordination 

• Support the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager in preparing, reviewing and documenting memoranda of understanding, agreements, agreement modifications according to the needs of Islamic Help. 

• Coordination of the due diligence process with partners. 

• Support the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager to develop, finalise and monitor partner funding. 

• Support the preparation and follow-up of grants opening meetings, monthly review meetings, and grant closing meetings. 

• Ensure that office grants are processed in a timely and effective manner in accordance with our policies, procedures and standards. 

• Provide support to approved projects and ensure there is continuous oversight and support throughout the project management cycle including financial and periodic reporting. 

• Be self-administering including maintaining fundraising pipeline spreadsheets and monitoring progress against activities. 

• Maintenance of records and files in line with IH document management and IT policies. 

• Liaise with the  finance team to ensure grants have been received and are allocated / restricted as appropriate.  

• Support the programmes team in grants management, programme development, monitoring and evaluation, and external relations activities as requested. 

Compliance and Reporting 

• Support donor reporting processes, co-ordinating with the field staff to ensure the timely submission of high-quality programmatic reports and co-ordinate with Finance to ensure timely submission of financial reports. 

• Ensure quality information management through regular maintenance of grant files, reporting calendars, timely submission and updating of internal documentation and other grants tools. 

• Support compliance of programmes with donor and Islamic Help requirements and raise issues affecting external/internal compliance to management staff. 

Researching Funding Opportunities  

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the profile of current funders and Islamic Help’s relationship with them, including the need for reports and updates. 

• Grow the support of current funders, identifying opportunities for them to continue their support.  

• Maintain and update the database and tracker sheet with details of projects and relevant funding streams. 

 Proposals and Funding Applications  

• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the organisation and its work. 

• Work closely with the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager to identify and pursue fundraising opportunities. 

• Assist, when required, the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager in the development and co-ordination of high-quality proposals and concept papers for submission to donors. 

• Build strong and effectve relatiionships with Islamic Help teams in the UK and overseas. 

• Support the programmes team in the on-going development of departmental strategy.  

 Partner and Donor Relationships 

• Develop and strengthen relationships with current partners and identify and cultivate relationships with potential new partners/donors through a range of communications including by phone, in writing and face to face meetings as appropriate.  

• Assist in co-ordination of existing relationships through professional account management and communicating the impact of our work to partners in a compelling way.  

• Maintain accurate partner and donor records in order to monitor, evaluate and report on fundraising activity. 

 Other Responsibilities:  

• Support the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager on the management of the department including development of departmental calendar, coordinating meetings with agendas and record keeping, oversight and development of departmental workplan. 

• Communicate with offices and partners as and when necessary and communicate progress or queries to colleagues. 

• Support the programmes team in the analysis of budgets and reports to determine impact, achievements and outputs. 

• Prepare feedback reports for donors and other stakeholders within appropriate timeframes. 

• Provide marketing colleagues with appropriate beneficiary data and case study material etc. 

• Verify budgets, invoices and financial liquidation reports to ensure that money is being spent according to the approved operational budget, plan and conduct appropriate desk reviews. 

• Review budgets and communicate any changes where needed. 

• Ensure the prioritisation of the most vulnerable within the communities Islamic Help serves by adopting a pro-active, holistic approach to safeguarding. 

• Contribute to department workplans, help set budgets and manage programme funds. 

• Support the programmes team on Emergency Response including – development of Emergency Response process, first response, setting up Emergency Panel, development of surge capacity and the development of proposals and reporting 

• To participate and actively engage, under the supervision of the Director of International Programmes, as part of Islamic Help’s first response to an emergency, including but not limited to travelling to emergency response locations, planning and implementing emergency response projects and liaising with partners and others to ensure successful implementation 

• Support the partnerships department with partner care – accompanying partners on field visits wherever needed to ensure the smooth coordination of operations and projects 

• Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.

This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

• Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
• Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
• Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.
• Data and systems: Conduct database cleansing and maintain accurate supporter, volunteer, and executive records.

What you’ll do

You will play a vital role within an innovative, community-based mental health service jointly commissioned by the London Borough of Harrow and NW London NHS, in partnership with Anna Freud. You will deliver brief, evidence-based interventions - primarily CBT, trauma-informed, and Mentalization approaches - to children and families experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. Working across schools, homes, and community venues, you will conduct psychological assessments, offer individual and group therapy, and collaborate with professionals to support complex cases. You will also provide consultation, training, and supervision to school staff and Wellbeing Practitioners, ensuring a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware approach.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled mental health professional with a strong foundation in therapeutic interventions and a commitment to supporting children, young people, and families within a community-based setting. Essential qualification, experience and skills:

• Proven experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions such as CBT, including a recognised qualification in a core profession of Clinical/Counselling Psychology, Family Therapy or other recognised background in child and adolescent mental health.
• Strong assessment and formulation skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and tailor support to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly when working across schools, families, and multi-agency teams.
• Experience providing consultation, supervision, or training to professionals, ideally within educational or mental health settings.
• Cultural competence and a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-aware approach to working with diverse communities and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible, subject to discussion and operational needs.

Salary: £46,800 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

We at the Methodist Church have always placed a great deal of importance on promoting good wellbeing and now we can take this a step further. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a wellbeing/HR individual with a special interest in wellbeing, to join the small wellbeing team within the Connexional team.

We are looking for someone who has a keen eye and interest in wellbeing. The main focus of this role will be to support first-hand the development of the wellbeing page on the Methodist Church website and the internal Intranet, ensuring that the content is updated and reflective of current trends. You will also contribute to the overall efficient and effective running of the team.  This role is an important part of developing, promoting and advancing wellbeing within the Methodist church.

About You

You should have good wellbeing knowledge and experience, project management skills, a real flair for attention to detail and the ability to develop a range of information resources and guidance materials. 

You should have the ability to demonstrate good generalist administrative skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills as with the ability to deal with difficult people and challenging situations.
