Day Opportunities Manager – working with adults with learning disabilities
Salary: up to £28,350 per annum

Responsible for: Day Opportunity coordinators, seniors and support workers, volunteers and service users
We have an exciting opportunity to join Centre 404’s Learning and Leisure team as the manager of our Day Opportunities service. This service supports adults with a wide range of needs to be active members of the community, increase their independence, develop their life skills and set themselves goals and achievements to work towards.
The post holder will be responsible for line managing the team who plan and deliver a broad programme of social and educational community-based activities. You will oversee the smooth running of the service and be responsible for quality assurance while ensuring the identified aims of the programme are met. You will also oversee all associated administration, the recruitment and management of relevant staff and volunteers, and contribute to the running and ongoing development of the service.
The role will involve balancing multiple priorities, including strategic planning as well as hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a person-centred approach is maintained at all times and involving people in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for personal and professional development.
This job does require you to be an experienced manager who has planned and developed sessions for people with learning disabilities and led and motivated a team to ensure positive outcomes for people using the service.

Purpose of the Post
London's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has joined forces with Redthread and Catch22 to support young Londoners aged 16-30 to gain skills, qualifications, and employment in the digital and surrounding sectors.
The youth Mentor will be working within local communities to support programme users to progress into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities.
In this role we are looking for a Youth Mentor to provide tailored career guidance and occasionally deliver facilitated employability workshops to those enrolled on the programme. We want someone who is ready to champion the rights and needs of those facing barriers to work, and is committed to delivering the best they can, for the people on the programme
You will manage a caseload of service users and develop bespoke plans to support these individuals throughout their journey towards progression. It would be beneficial to have an awareness of the digital or technical sectors and/or apprenticeships.

Your Job Description
As a Youth Project Leader, you will:
• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.
• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.
• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.
• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.
• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
- To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses.
- Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.
General Administrative
- Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review.
- Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings.
- Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
- Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

The Role of a Move-on coordinator / Resettlement worker is to work closing with housing officer to provide housing related support to customers ready to move - on. Liaising with Housing solution Team in RBKC Borough Council to establish housing assessment and applications to achieve the objective. RBKC CNS core move-on pathway is through PRS, MOP and other suitable options to be consider while supporting customers move-on options. The move-on coordinator will work with customers in a floating setting when required to ensure there are settled when they move.
The working hours for this role will be 09:00 - 17.00, Monday - Friday.

What you'll do:
Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Housing officer / service Manager.
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions that prepare customers to move- on.
Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to achieve a move-on target.
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation where they moved.
Support customers to set up Rent payment, HB application, liaise with landlords, viewing of properties and support to sustain their tenancy when they move.
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community to support move - on pathway.
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Officer
Support customers to apply for charity support on white goods and other assistance to move into their property and have the furniture's and items needed to live independently.
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible

About the Service
The overall aim of the service is to increase survivor safety over time and to reduce incidents of domestic abuse through awareness raising and filling gaps in service provision, to reduce and remove harm for victim/survivors. The Floating Support Worker (FSW) supports victim/survivors of domestic abuse living in safe accommodation, at any level of risk, on a needs-led basis.
About the Role
As the FSW you will carry out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and support planning with survivors and advocate on their behalf with external agencies. You will provide ongoing casework support, including referrals to specialist advice and practical support, such as legal advice around civil and criminal remedies. You will empower survivors with information on their rights and options, demystifying complex statutory systems and dispelling myths perpetuated by perpetrators and wider society and will provide support to maintain accommodation, or to source permanent accommodation as necessary.
About You
You will have a passion for working with victim/survivors and a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support and strong casework management skills.
You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning

You will:
- Provide support for the Service Manager in the Wandsworth Floating Support Team.
- Work directly with a small caseload of service users, delivering support to enable independence and mental health recovery.
