About this job
In this role, you'll oversee the delivery of our marketing strategy and insight-led approach to product development for our community and events fundraising team. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to reach, engage, and build meaningful long-term relationships with our supporters. You'll champion an insight-driven and engagement-first approach to marketing and product development, with our audiences at its core.
You'll innovate and test new marketing channels, products, and approaches. You'll stay up-to-date with the latest marketing and sector trends and identify opportunities to ensure we can proactively respond to an evolving external environment.
A key part of your role will be to lead our team of supporter-facing Fundraising Executives and ensure they provide consistent and exceptional supporter stewardship to our incredible fundraisers.
Our role is to deliver engaging, high quality and innovative fundraising to our amazing supporters and provide an attractive, inclusive programme of events and activities throughout the year.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Corporate Community Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated fundraising strategies that engage corporate partners and communities at local, regional and national levels. Working collaboratively with RABI’s Philanthropy and Partnerships team, this pivotal role will involve cultivating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to increase income to support RABI’s purpose, strengthening relationships across the business sector and rural communities.
With a strong emphasis on relationship management and supporter stewardship, the Corporate Community Fundraiser will play a key role in shaping and developing sponsorship packages and offers, ensuring they are attractive and aligned with the interests of corporate partners and RABI’s fundraising goals.
This will involve helping tailor sponsorship opportunities for committee events, campaigns and initiatives that not only drive engagement but also maximise financial support.
In addition to developing corporate partnerships, the Corporate Community Fundraiser will be responsible for training and equipping regional volunteers (committee members and non-committee members) to identify and engage local corporate supporters, ensuring alignment with RABI’s broader corporate fundraising strategy. Supported by both centralised resources and volunteers, this role will play a crucial role in helping RABI achieve its ambitious five-year fundraising goal of £10 million.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Regional and Local Corporate Partnerships: Build and manage strong relationships with regional and local corporate partners and businesses to drive fundraising support. Identify and secure new partnerships to expand our donor base.
- Fundraising Strategy: Design and execute community-focused fundraising initiatives, including corporate sponsorships. Collaborate with the team to develop short and long-term fundraising goals.
- Event Planning and Execution: Plan and oversee fundraising events (e.g. agriculture show raffles/competitions, supporter-led, community and corporate) that engage corporate partners, their employees and the wider community. Work closely with the events lead, volunteers, committees, and regional teams to secure sponsorships, in-kind goods and services and local business support.
- Corporate Giving Programmes: Develop and promote programmes that encourage corporate involvement, such as matching gifts, employee volunteering (with support from Volunteering) and workplace giving initiatives.
- Outreach and Communication: Regularly engage with both local and regional corporate partners and community organisations through tailored communications, presentations and reports. Keep them informed of the impact of their contributions.
- Budget and Financial Management: Help coordinate the fundraising budget for corporate initiatives and ensure resources are used efficiently to meet fundraising goals.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on the success of corporate partnerships. Analyse results to improve future strategies and share progress with internal stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery, Volunteering and Finance, etc.) to align community fundraising efforts with RABI’s overall purpose and goals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Proven experience in corporate or community fundraising within the charity sector.
- Demonstrated success in securing and nurturing successful corporate partnerships.
- Financial awareness and planning with ability to develop and manage project-level budgets.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, equipped with the skills to engage and inspire a wide range of supporters, stakeholders and volunteers.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practices in corporate fundraising.
- A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach to work with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and idea generation.
- Empathy with the farming community and an understanding of the challenges faced in rural life.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a charity focused on rural, agricultural or community-based initiatives.
- A full UK driving licence, as travel within England and Wales will be required.
- Knowledge of agriculture and the farming sector, with an ability to tailor fundraising approaches accordingly.

Connect: North Korea is a fast-growing charity supporting North Korean escapees to build new lives after experiences of systemic discrimination, poverty, and trauma.
Our organisational income has grown consistently year on year since we registered in 2018. We now have a series of multi-year grants in place ensuring that 42% of our income for 2026 is already secured. But we are ambitious. We want to do more for our community, so we are looking for a new, dynamic Head of Fundraising and Development to lead and deliver income generation as we scale our work in the UK and globally.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a fundraising strategy and plan across all major income streams—trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and major donors. This role is an exciting mixture of leadership complemented by day-to-day delivery. You’ll work closely with the CEO and across programme teams to map out our annual fundraising plan, craft compelling cases for support, develop funder relationships, and increase our funding base by 20% in 2026.

Fundraising and income generation
- Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.

The National Flood Forum is partnering Rochdale Borough Council to deliver one of 25 national projects comprising Defra’s Flood and Coastal Resilience and Innovation Programme (FCRIP) which is managed by the Environment Agency and runs until March 2027. The programme aims to test and create new, innovative approaches to flood and coastal resilience that can be adapted and rolled out more widely as good practice and new ways of delivering positive change.
Our project centres on two frequently flood affected and vulnerable neighbourhoods in the Roch Valley in Rochdale district The communities are complex and include a high incidence of social, economic and environmental disadvantage. It aims to develop a more holistic approach to flood and climate resilience with better management of residual flood risks through new, innovative cross-sectoral approaches that also address climate justice and both flood and fuel poverty. The project will deliver a step change in flood literacy and community participation, increase peoples’ capabilities to respond to flooding, improve flood and climate resilience of ageing housing stock, enhance surface water management, neighbourhood water conservation, natural flood risk management and local green infrastructure and develop better financial resilience for homes and businesses.

Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER) is seeking our next Executive Director. This is an opportunity to lead Scotland’s foremost strategic anti-racist organisation, taking forward its mission and objectives at a pivotal moment.
About Us
The Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER) is Scotland’s leading strategic anti-racist organisation. Based in Glasgow, we work to eliminate racial discrimination and harassment and to promote racial justice across Scotland through research, policy development, lobbying, campaigning and network-building.
Our mission is to protect, enhance and promote the rights of Black and minority ethnic (BME) communities across all areas of life in Scotland, strengthening their social, economic and political capital, particularly for those most at risk of disadvantage.
The Role
As Executive Director, you will be the senior officer responsible for the strategic leadership, policy development, office and staff management, financial control, stakeholder relationships and Company Secretary duties. You will ensure delivery of annual work plans, contractual compliance and organisational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy, Research and Policy Development: Provide strategic direction, delivering CRER’s vision, aims and objectives; lead development and execution of strategy with staff and Board, setting policy, research and advocacy priorities.
- Governance and Operational Management: Act as Company Secretary; oversee OSCR compliance; support the Board’s duties through guidance and information; prepare annual budgets; ensure sound financial management; oversee management accounts and annual reports; maintain infrastructure and regulatory compliance; implement risk management; develop funding applications and tender responses.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Lead and line-manage a motivated team; maintain and apply the CRER Policies and Procedures Handbook consistently.
- Stakeholder Relations and Public Relations: Manage external relationships with BME organisations, third sector, government, funders, academia, and parliamentarians; represent CRER in strategic discussions, public events, media, and on social media platforms.
- Other Duties: Any additional tasks required for effective organisational functioning.
Key Details
- Job Title: Executive Director
- Salary: £67,000 per annum
- Contract: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week)
- Location: Hybrid home/office (minimum three days per week in our Glasgow City Centre office, with occasional travel across Scotland). Support with required relocation costs available.
Person specification:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent
- Expertise in strategic, anti-racist approaches to race equality
- Strong oral and written communication with diverse audiences
- Ability to interpret complex social policy and devise effective interventions for Black minority ethnic communities in Scotland
- Current awareness of developments in the race equality arena
- Lived experience of racialisation, applied to policy and practice
- Senior leadership with strategic planning and business implementation
- Proven track record in securing varied funding and managing charity finances and governance
- Skilled in report writing, research, presentations and policy influence
- Commitment to CRER’s mission, aims and values
- Relationship-building and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Strategic, analytical thinker who works well under pressure and exercises sound judgement
- Flexible team player with initiative
- Highly motivated self-starter driven to advance racial equality in Scotland

- Success in fundraising, including traditional fundraising, developing sustainable earned income streams and diversifying funding sources
- Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
- A deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and SHS’s mission
- You’ll have a commercial mindset, be proactive, resilient and ready to lead with purpose.

- Salary: £75,357 - £79,568 per annum

- Reporting to: Chair of the Board of Trustees
