About the role
You’ll be based in Sunderland, at our National Customer Service Centre (NCSC), located just 600 metres from our local PDSA Pet Hospital.
Our centre has been running in its current form for nearly a decade and is home to a friendly team of 60 colleagues, a great mix of full- and part-time team members who work together to deliver excellent service and results.
Over the years, the NCSC has evolved significantly, now handling a wide range of customer and supporter interactions. It’s an energetic, supportive environment where every conversation helps make a difference.
What you’ll do
- Make inspiring outbound calls to engage supporters, encourage donations, and promote PDSA’s work.
- Handle inbound calls related to fundraising with empathy and professionalism.

The Role:
The Marketing Assistant will play a key role supporting the Marketing & Communications team in implementing the integrated communications strategy and providing marketing support for the promotion of hospice services and income generation activity.
Your day-to-day tasks will be varied but typically will include assisting with delivering our social media calendar, creating engaging content for use across our communication channels, writing copy for press releases and arranging photo calls, assisting in print and publication production, and updating content on the website.
What you need:
The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar marketing role or have a qualification in marketing or communications and demonstrate a strong team ethic and creative flair. You must be highly organised and have excellent communication and relationship building skills. You’ll need to be able to work well within a busy team and able to work on several projects simultaneously.

About the Role
This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Manager role will work with The Income Generation Manager, The Fundraising and Communications Team and the Senior Leadership teams to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively planned, developed, and implemented. As the Fundraising and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for supporting the growth of unrestricted income across individual and major donor as well as managing our corporate, and community fundraising.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of fundraising and engagement activities incorporating culture for sustainability and growth for the organisation. You will create and deliver inspiring campaigns, optimise donor journeys, and ensure excellent supporter stewardship. The role includes responsibility for team leadership, with a focus on generating new income streams and maintaining compliance. You will have strong communication and data skills in helping drive the charity’s positive impact for Mind BLMK’s businesses and communities.
As the Fundraising and Engagement Manager you will support, develop and direct colleagues within the fundraising and engagement team leading on a range of activities and ensure that fundraising ideas and events are high profile and will generate funds. You will be able to reach fundraising targets and have a proven track record of tools used in fundraising such as Just Giving, legacy, Charity of the Year, media campaign and fundraising, face to face, corporate and strategic fundraising experience is also needed.
You will be proactive, work well on own and in team and have experience in delivering presentations and key messages to a range of audiences.

The Role

Role purpose
We are seeking an organised, data-driven, and creative Senior Individual Giving Officer to support the delivery of high-quality fundraising campaigns that inspire new and existing supporters to give. Working closely with the Marketing & Campaigns Manager and Marketing & Communications Officer, you will develop audience-led supporter journeys, compelling fundraising copy, and test-and-learn approaches to build lasting supporter relationships and grow income for Southampton Hospitals Charity. You will also support budgeting and performance reporting, analysing campaign results to inform and optimise future activity.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Campaign development and delivery

Work with the Campaigns & Marketing Manager to plan and deliver a calendar of direct marketing campaigns across print, email, and digital, focused on income generation and donor retention.

Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer to develop compelling, supporter-centred fundraising copy for appeals, donation forms, landing pages, emails, and stewardship content.

Coordinate campaign production, from creative briefing to print and fulfilment, working with suppliers, designers, and mailing house partners as needed.

Lead on campaign timelines and ensure activity is delivered on time and within budget.

Work with colleagues across the charity to gather impactful case studies and project updates for use in donor communications.

Manage and maintain campaign collateral such as templates, thank-you letters, and welcome packs, ensuring brand and message consistency.
Supporter journeys & stewardship

Develop and implement supporter journeys for new and existing individual givers, ensuring timely and relevant follow-ups to donations.

Identify opportunities to improve retention and upgrade rates through targeted communications and segmentation.

Ensure all donor touchpoints (e.g. donation forms, thank-you pages, emails) provide an excellent experience.

Collaborate with the Fundraising and Operation teams to ensure donor communications align with wider charity messaging.

Support fundraising campaigns with tailored communications for regular givers, lottery players, payroll givers, and one-off donors.

Data & insight

Work closely with Database & Insights Officer to segment data and analyse results to inform and feed into longer-term strategic plans to maximise donor lifetime value.

Trusts & Foundations
- Develop and manage PTCH’s Trusts & Foundations pipeline for cultural programming and Learning & Engagement projects;

- Oversee the database, maintaining accurate records to plan and prioritise funding applications;
- Work with the Director, Programming,Head of Learning & Engagement and others to devise high-quality applications and cases for support;
- Oversee the preparation of timely, accurate funder reports in collaboration with relevant teams;
- Nurture relationships with Trusts & Foundations contacts.
Corporate Sponsorship
- Review the sponsorship offering and create a pitch pack for prospective partners;

Person Specification
- Experience in the charity sector, ideally in an arts or cultural environment;
