Job Description  

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Fundraising, we are looking for someone with a passion for helping vulnerable young people to achieve their potential and who is excited by playing their part in raising funds towards our £1 million target. Working in our small Income Generation Team, you will have responsibility for writing compelling proposals and reports that showcase the impact of our work. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with current and potential funders, building and stewarding our restricted income pipeline which you will own.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record of securing funding, preferably within the youth, sport for development or health & wellbeing sector. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Key responsibilities  

Fundraising and business development  

• Write compelling funding proposals and cases for support, from £5000 to £100,000s

• Own and grow Trusts and Grants pipeline, identifying and researching new funding opportunities 

• Cultivate and steward relationships with new and existing funders

• Represent Trust at programmes, events, funder meetings

Relationship Management 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential funders

• Ensure effective communication with funders, providing high quality reports and updates 

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure funded projects deliver maximum, demonstratable impact in line with funder expectations

Managing systems and processes 

• Create a calendar of opportunities for grant submissions, ensure application deadlines are met

• Maintain accurate and up to date funder records in Trust’s CRM system, Salesforce 

• Maintain efficient systems for tracking applications and reporting

• Work closely with Senior Finance Manager to ensure restricted income is accurately forecasted and updated accordingly

The Role

The Events and Community Manager for our Mass Fundraising Team will focus and lead on:

1. New product development and innovation

Our Funding Management team are looking for someone who loves excel and has excellent attention to detail. (We have 2 x roles - a 12 month and a 6 month fixed-term contract)

This role is responsible for ensuring we maximise our restricted funds income in compliance with our funders requirements by allocating funding to grants, compiling and submitting claims and reports to Funders in a timely manner. Working effectively across the King's Trusts Delivery, Finance and Fundraising teams in a proactive manner.

We are seeking a proactive and highly self-motivated Fundraising Manager to join our team at Police Care UK and make a critical contribution towards our combined annual fundraising target of approximately £1 million.
 
With knowledge of the funding landscape for first responders, police, mental health, or wellbeing causes, you will take direct responsibility for income from Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors, and legacy fundraising, alongside oversight of our challenge and community events.
 
With strong research and writing skills, you’ll identify new funding opportunities and produce compelling, high-quality applications. You’ll also bring excellent relationship-building abilities, managing key donor relationships with care and ensuring grant compliance to maximise impact and income.
 
If you have a strong track record in securing significant income from trusts, foundations, grant-making bodies and major donors, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes for those who serve, we’d love to hear from you.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a trusts and foundations fundraising strategy to meet agreed income targets.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
• Write compelling, tailored funding proposals, applications, and reports.
• Work closely with finance and clinical teams to monitor and report on grant expenditure.
• Organise meetings, presentations, and site visits to engage and inspire funders.
• Provide timely updates, reports, and impact statements to funders.
• Build and maintain strong, personalised relationships with major donors through regular communication and engagement.
• Plan and deliver an effective legacy marketing strategy.

Experience:
 

• Proven experience in securing significant income from trusts, foundations, or grant-making bodies.
• Experience of raising substantial fundraising income and achieving performance targets.
• Building and nurturing relationships with grant-making bodies.
• Setting and achieving ambitious income targets from major donors.
• Experience or understanding of effective legacy marketing and administration processes.
• Working with the marketing team to showcase donor impact through storytelling and recognition opportunities.

The Administrative Support Officer role offers an exciting opportunity to directly influence the efficiency and impact of our work. Working with the Executive Coordinator you will provide administrative support to the wider Leadership Team, enabling them to deliver ambitious plans at a time of organisational growth. 

It involves collaborating closely with Global Canopy team members, particularly Communications Leads, to develop and deliver comprehensive project plans for key external-facing events such as London and New York Climate Weeks (annually), climate COPs (annually), and biodiversity COPs (biennially). 

The successful applicant will serve as the primary point of contact for summit-related events, coordinating meetings, tracking follow-up actions, and providing updates through internal communications. You will oversee all logistical arrangements, including conference registration, travel, accommodation, visa procurement, and insurance, while preparing travel packs for attendees. 

A confident self-starter, you will be able to juggle multiple priorities, across different teams, with excellent IT and organisational skills with a need to log, manage and analyse information, using Excel, Google Workspace applications, and Asana. 

Requirements
