About The Role

We’re seeking a dynamic individual to support Medair UK’s engagement with trusts and foundations in the United Kingdom. Over the last 5 years income from trusts and foundations has gone from strength to strength increasing by 230% and the successful candidate will be part of the small team responsible for increasing this key area of funding. You will be an integral part of this growing Christian charity. You will enable support for the life-saving work Medair delivers to some of the world’s most vulnerable people by driving forward our relationships with UK trusts and foundations.

About You 

You will be a positive and solution focused fundraiser, ready to take initiative and embrace challenging targets. Ideally you will have experience in growing income from trust and foundations from both longstanding and new potential partners, or be able to demonstrate highly relevant transferable experience. You will be capable of compiling strong fundraising proposals; produce high quality reports; partner with financial colleagues in preparing complex budgets and financial reports. A compelling written communicator, you will have a keen understanding of the humanitarian sector, and of what motivates trusts and foundations to support this work. 

Key Activity Areas  

Lead Generation  

• Be responsible for account management of caseload of mid-range Trusts & Foundations.

• Work collaboratively with the Engagement Manager, Engagement Support Officer and volunteers in the identification, approach and management of UK Trusts and Foundations.  

• Regularly research and review opportunities for building potential relationships with prospective Trusts and Foundations and progressing relationships and applications with them through compelling communications. 

• Work with existing networks and contacts to identify and approach potential trusts and foundations and develop relationships with key decision makers there 

• Identify and pursue opportunities to increase income from existing Trust and Foundation relationships 

Communications and Management  

• Work towards an agreed target each year of engaged trusts and related income, both restricted project and unrestricted funds.

• Write compelling cases for support and proposals in order to secure grants 

• Effectively work with internal contacts throughout the global Medair organisation in the preparation of approved proposals, reports and supporting financial and impact information 

• Manage Medair’s engagement plan, initiating and delivering creative touchpoints throughout the year for all of Medair’s trust and foundation partners, as well as building relationships with trustees and representatives through video, online meetings, events and face-2-face opportunities 

Planning, monitoring and pipeline management  

• Maintain a good record of the application pipeline and CRM (salesforce), monitoring application output, income targets, fund allocations and reporting deadlines.

• Ensuring all grants from trusts and foundations are correctly allocated to Medair programmes, with the appropriate grant card on Medair’s project management platform and maintaining good contact with country programmes and finance partners throughout the lifecycle of Medair UK co-funded projects.

Internal Liaison  

• Liaise with Medair’s Heads of Country Programmes, Country Directors and Communications Officers in order to gather information and data for the purposes of applying and reporting to funders 

• Work collaboratively with finance colleagues in the preparation and approval of budgets and reports.

• Foster dynamic and mutually beneficial relationships with other fundraisers within Medair international and the affiliate offices, readily sharing proposals, reports and information.

About the Legacy Manager role:

The Public Fundraising team are responsible for recruiting and stewarding new supporters in order to secure long-term income and growth. The fundraising team has real ambition to grow and develop, and Legacy and  In-memory giving will form a key part of these plans.

You will lead on the development and implementation of a new Legacy & In Memoriam fundraising strategy that will

support our vision to grow income in this area. To do this you will be an ambitious, confident and experienced Legacy fundraiser with a passion for excellent customer experience and a natural collaborator. You will be

great at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will work with teams across the charity to establish potential within our existing networks as well as reaching new audiences.

This is an opportunity to build and shape Legacy and In-mem giving at Royal voluntary service. You will be responsible for putting together plans to acquire new donors as well as building comprehensive stewardship plans for legacy pledgers and in-memoriam donors.  You will have experience of delivering legacy events, marketing and setting and meeting ambitious KPI’s.

The role will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising, research and implementing other new Legacy and in memoriam opportunities. All legacy administration is handled externally.

Location: This role is Home based with occasional national travel

Knowledge

• Experience of developing and managing a mixed Legacy and In-Mem Marketing portfolio.
• Experience of stewarding legacy prospects to become pledgers

• A good understanding of working across a variety of fundraising channels; including digital, email, social media, direct mail, telemarketing, and SMS.

Experience

• At least 5 years’ fundraising experience especially in legacy and in memory fundraising

• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recover from the trauma. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.3m and 40 staff. About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation. 

We are looking for a highly motived Temporary Finance Manager with demonstrable experience working in a similar senior level role. You’ll be a fully or part qualified accountant e.g. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Cipfa, with a thorough understanding of charity accounting.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed term to start ASAP until 18th December 2025.

This is a key role at NFF designing, delivering and reviewing our Training Programs and ensuring continuous improvement for our staff. This role will also develop an external training program for delivery to our partners and clients

Responsibilities

· Design & Implement Staff Training Programs: Develop training modules for staff in areas such as health and safety, safety protocols, customer service, and leadership development.

· Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging, effective, and interactive training sessions for various teams, using a mix of in-person and digital delivery methods.

· Training Needs Analysis: Collaborate with Leadership Teams to identify specific training needs, evaluate employee skill gaps, and create tailored training solutions to address them.

· Performance Measurement: Develop metrics and evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs, reporting findings to management and adjusting programs as needed.

· Resource Development: Create and update training materials, guides, and documentation to ensure consistency and high quality in content delivery.

· New Starter Journey: Review, design and deliver new starter training programmes to ensure Project Officers have the best possible start at NFF, incorporating culture, leadership and knowledge

· External Training Development: Design and deliver specialist training to our partners and clients, ensuring adherence to industry safety standards and practices

· Continuous Improvement: stay up to date with industry best practice, new technologies and new flood-related practices to be incorporated into training materials

 Day-to-Day Activities

· You will line manage an Administrative Co-ordinator who has partial responsibilities for Training delivery and support them with their workstreams and development

• Liaise and develop relationships with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop training processes to support them
• Support Senior Management Team to build income streams and develop new activity, working to support and deliver NFF strategy
• Providing information and case studies for communications and advocacy work

· You will be acting as the main contact for training, both internally and externally

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the ‘Head of Finance and Organisation Development’, the Management Accountant will play a key role across the business in improving data capture and managing reporting across the team. This role will be on a part time basis of 2 days a week.

This role will suit someone who is looking to join a small, dynamic and growing organisation to run the management reporting process and provide timely and accurate financial management information. Systems experience with ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’ accounting package would be an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Preparing monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts

· Compiling Balance sheet reconciliations

· Preparing quarterly Project ‘Income and Expenditure’ reports for Project Managers

· Preparing interim/final financial Project reports for submission to Funders

· Preparing quarterly VAT returns

· Providing accurate and timely financial information to support the organisational financial strategy and decision-making process

· Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported correctly

· Streamlining and improving accounting systems, controls and process environment

· Reviewing and updating current suite of organisational policies

· Preparing annual budget

· Preparing supporting schedules for Annual audit and working with external Accountants to assist in the preparation of annual financial statements

Working alongside the Head of Fundraising, you will inspire funders, donors and local companies to support our work. You will develop compelling applications to Trusts and Foundations and build strong relationships with grant managers.

Supporting the delivery of our annual calendar of public fundraising events, you will manage communications with public supporters and work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to develop innovative fundraising campaigns and social media content.

Hours: Between 30 – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £37,011 - £38,763 per annum, dependent on experience (pro rata for part- time)

About you

You have a strong track record of generating income from a range of funders, with a proven success of securing grants from Trusts and Foundations. You also have up-to-date knowledge of fundraising best practice and current fundraising trends.

It would be great if you have experience of planning and supporting fundraising events, and experience of developing corporate partnerships.
