About the Role

Child Bereavement UK has an exciting new opportunity for a Young Person Advocate and Bereavement Support Practitioner. This is a split post working primarily as a Young Person Advocate. The post holder will lead on the development and delivery of support for young people and the professionals that work with them by ensuring that young people have a voice and influence in the development of Child Bereavement UK’s Services across the UK.

In addition, as a Bereavement Support Practitioner, the post holder will be providing bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings, when a baby or child of any age has died or is dying, or where children or young people up to the age of 25 are bereaved.

Head of Finance

About the organisation

The organisation is a small, thriving national charity supporting people in rural areas to set up and run successful businesses in community ownership. They do this to achieve their UK-wide vision for resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities. The charity is based in Oxfordshire with around 25 staff and a turnover of around £1.2 million annually.

Community-owned businesses are owned and controlled by community members and range from village shops, pubs and cafes, through to woodlands, fisheries and farms. The charity has been promoting the community ownership model for over 100 years because of its track record for delivering better businesses for people, communities, the economy, and the environment.

The charity is in a sound financial position with strong reserves. The focus moving forward is to diversify income streams away from the traditional model of grants, trusts and foundations to increased self-generated income from projects, corporate sponsorship and placemaking initiatives with housing organisations. 

The new Head of Finance will be joining the organisation at an exciting time as they progress on this journey.

About the role

Reporting to the COO and managing 1 Finance Officer, The Head of Finance is the lead staff member for all matters relating to the Finance Team and is responsible for all areas of its strategic management and day-to-day operations. The Head of Finance makes up part of the Senior Leadership Team.

Typical finance duties include the development and implementation of finance strategies and policies, the production of financial reports and management accounts, leading on the budgeting & forecasting process, leading on the production of the annual statutory accounts, and supporting the Finance Officer with all elements of transactional finance such as reconciliations & VAT.

The Head of Finance will also take an active role on the Senior Leadership Team including contributing to business plans, networking with partner organisations and contributing to the continued strategy to diversify the charity’s income.

The charity uses Xero accounting software and has a December financial year-end. There is a current interim Head of Finance in post, and a handover with this person is likely. 

The role would suit an experienced charity sector Head of Finance, seeking to work on a part-time basis. The role will be offered on a 3 day per week basis, and is a fully office based role, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to consider 2 days in the office with 1 day working from home, however the preference is for 3 days onsite. 

The salary offered is £60,000 - £66,000 per annum FTE (pro-rata) and benefits include flexible working, an employee benefits programme, training opportunities, 6% employer pension contribution and a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time staff). 

Requirements

• Qualified or near qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent 

• A strong understanding of UK charity accounting including fund accounting and SORP

• Prior experience managing the finances of a small to medium sized charity, and management of a finance team

• A proactive attitude and the ability to ‘muck in’ with a broad range of duties sometimes outside the scope of the role

• Excellent analytical skills, ability to identify financial trends and create a supportive narrative

• Experience with Xero and Salesforce would be advantageous

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a leading UK healthcare charity who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Fundraiser to join their Public Fundraising and Engagement team on a temporary basis.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we support babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions.  Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Insights Analyst - Charity - FULLY REMOTE

Understanding Recruitment NFP is delighted to be partnering with Animals Asia, a leading charity dedicated to creating positive change for animals across Asia, to find a talented Insight Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their dedicated Data, Technology and Insight team and play a key role in data-driven decision-making across the Supporter Engagement Department.

As an Insight Analyst at Animals Asia, you'll be instrumental in analysing complex datasets, identifying actionable insights, and delivering strategic recommendations that contribute directly to their impactful mission. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues to build insightful dashboards (primarily using Tableau) and communicate key findings to stakeholders across the organisation. Your expertise in SQL and data visualisation will be crucial in driving Animals Asia's vital work.

Key Skills:

• Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data to extract meaningful information.
• Strong experience in working with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create clear and impactful reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with the Google suite, Google Sheets, Google Meets, etc.
• Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues of all technical abilities, translating complex data into understandable insights and reports.

Contract Details:

• Position: Permanent (Fully Remote)
• Salary: £40,000 per annum
• Location: Home-based, ideally UK

About the role

12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

This role is involved with the day-to-day running of our social media channels and peer-to peer support forum—2 of our most important spaces for connection and conversation. You'll shape content, manage engagement, and ensure our digital spaces are welcoming, inclusive, and supportive for everyone affected by breast cancer. You’ll work closely with teams across the charity to amplify our voice, grow our reach, and support our wider goals. You’ll also line-manage 1 digital community officer. It’s a hands-on, people-focused role where your digital skills will make a real difference every day.

About you

You’re a digital native with a heart for community and a mind for strategy. You believe in the power of connection—particularly for those navigating or impacted by breast cancer—and you’re ready to work on inclusive, impactful online spaces.

You’ve got experience managing digital spaces, writing copy for social, and confidence creating short videos for social channels.

You enjoy mentoring others, and you’re always looking for new ways to connect with diverse audiences.

You’re curious, collaborative, you often seek out opportunities to innovate, and you enjoy learning and sharing what you learn.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This role is primarily based in our Cardiff, Glasgow, London, or Sheffield office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

The Role

We are looking for a collaboratively-minded and empowering CEO to take this new approach and focus to mission forward, to promote it to this generation, to the Anglican Communion and beyond. With a strong senior leadership team, committed board and annual income of around £8m, you will lead our strategic development, implement the agreed plan to 2027, and build the financial sustainability of CMS for the decades ahead.

We are therefore looking for a mission-hearted leader of integrity with a strong strategic ability, deep theological understanding, mature Christian faith and an ability to build relationships and compellingly share the amazing way that God’s Kingdom is coming to the edges through CMS.

This dynamic role is perfect for someone who’s confident building relationships with businesses and passionate about connecting people with our mission.

You’ll focus 60% of your time on securing and managing corporate partnerships – from Charity of the Year collaborations to sponsorships and brand activations – and the remaining 40% supporting campaigns, appeals, and fundraising events.

What you’ll bring:

• A track record in business development, sales, or corporate fundraising
• Strong communication, proposal writing, and relationship-building skills
• An eye for opportunity and a collaborative, can-do attitude
• The ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping supporters engaged
• Knowledge of fundraising practices, data protection, and CRM systems
