About this role:
As Together Through Homelessness Coordinator, you’ll:
- deal with enquiries from a variety of key stakeholders, to contribute to the successful day-to-day delivery of our vet scheme,
- support dog owners who are experiencing homelessness to register their dogs on the scheme, and signpost them to other support services sensitively and tactfully,

At Bookmark Reading Charity, we exist to change children’s life stories through the joy of reading. Volunteers are vital to our ongoing success at Bookmark and our team are focused on providing them with a positive and rewarding volunteer experience. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in the communications with, support for and retention of volunteers. You will also help develop the volunteer experience across the organisation, ensuring continuity and quality in our volunteer involvement practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with the Volunteer Services Manager to deliver the Volunteer Strategy and Bookmark’s vision
- Deliver mechanisms to maintain or improve volunteer activeness , satisfaction and retention
- Act as primary contact for volunteers, supporting with enquiries and concerns
- Deliver ongoing volunteer stewardship and recognition functions
- Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of events and drop-in sessions for prospective, onboarding and onboarded volunteers
- Deliver continuous development and coordination of other support services, including but not limited to our volunteer messaging platform, engagement resources and the Volunteer Helpline
- Facilitate peer-to-peer engagement opportunities for volunteers
- Conduct, report and advise on volunteer feedback and insights
- Support with delivery of Volunteer Advisory Board
- Support with creation and delivery of volunteer marketing and publicity opportunities
- Deliver prospective and current volunteer communications
- Deliver ongoing volunteer problem-solving and complaints functions
- Provide volunteer references upon request
- Operate recurring volunteer data and reporting functions
- Operate bespoke volunteer programming, including single session delivery

Essential
- Experience of supporting volunteers
- Understanding of the external volunteering environment and relevant implications for volunteering and service delivery
- Excellent organisation and project planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with safeguarding procedures
- Enthusiastic, professional and positive approach with a strong customer service ethos
- Structured problem-solving approach with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team
- Ability to be persuasive, motivating and empathetic when liaising with volunteers and staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Passionate about our vision and mission
Desirable
- Salesforce and / or SharePoint experience
- Data-driven approach

- Experience involving volunteers in youth or academic settings

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.
Fixed term for 2 years, 35 hours per week.
The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.

The role will require travelling in London and East Anglia and also offers remote working around meetings and workshops.
The Role
In this role you will be:
- Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.
- Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.
- Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.
About You
- You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- You be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Showing empathy and being able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.
- It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products and are confident user of digital technology demonstrating a positive approach to the adoption of innovative products and tools. You will be able to track and evaluate the impact of your community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice. If you do not already have the qualification, you will be trained to a Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness.

About the role
As Senior Consultant – Organisational Development you will play a central role in the design and delivery of INTRAC’s Organisational Development (OD) offer as a core member of INTRAC’s OD Team. This includes contributing to a portfolio of OD consultancy, research and training assignments, either in a lead role, or as part of small or multi-disciplinary team with INTRAC network members, staff and partners, building on your expertise. You’ll be responsible for providing a mixture of content expertise, quality assurance and job management as well as designing and delivering training and facilitation sessions – often online, with participants from a range of contexts.
