Started in 2022, Utilita Giving provides grants to voluntary sector organisations, who can alleviate and prevent suffering and hardship caused by fuel and food poverty.

We raise awareness about this issue and enlist the public’s support in fundraising campaigns. Supported by our Patrons David James (ex-England footballer) and Adam Scorer (Chief Executive of National Energy Action), there is huge potential for this small but mighty charity to become a household name.

We are seeking an experienced Donor and Stakeholder Engagement Officer, who has a proven track record in fundraising and effectively engaging donors and stakeholders to support a charitable cause.

You will be successful in submitting Tenders, Grant Applications, Bids etc. and competently engaging with high-net-worth individuals and corporate donors. You will be highly organised, numerically proficient and be great at building effective relationships.

You’ll be part of a small team, reporting into the Executive Director, however we work with a diverse stakeholder network of other charities and the general public, therefore you will have excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

We generally work remotely, but you will be required to come into the Chandlers Ford office once a month for meetings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join The London Clinic on a hybrid working model.

Job Profile

Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.

You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. You will support the development of stewardship documents for donors, with related statistics and outcomes information and stories. This will include playing a role in managing our charity governance group internally.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent position - 37.5 hours per week.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - core hours 9am – 5.30pm.

Job Location: Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).

Regular giving at Alzheimer’s Society is growing year on year with an ambitious target of £8.5M for 2024/25. The Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) is seeking a new Chief Executive to lead the organisation through the next phase of its growth and development. The role

They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They have experience dealing with administrative processes and office administration, especially in a non-profit, remote organisation. They will have skills to give, receive and work with feedback constructively. They must be meticulous with exceptionally strong follow-up and follow-through skills and have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies with experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment. 

They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.

The Chief Executive will be responsible for providing leadership, developing, and implementing Living Well Bromley’s strategic and operational plans, leading on partnership and business development, and being an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries.

They will lead a senior management team of three (the Operations Manager, Funding and Communications Manager and Advocacy Manager).They will be responsible for ensuring financial control and supporting and advising on governance best practice across all aspects of the charity.

This post is a first-tier post directly reporting to the Board of Trustees. Ideally the post holder will have a Christian faith and be committed to core Christian values.

As our team lead, you’ll be providing the day to day management of our 3 Fundraising Executives.

You and your team will provide exceptional stewardship and customer care to our supporters, as well as project support to our wider Community and Events function. And will help coordinate a range of fundraising activities to achieve income targets.

As well as managing your direct reports you’ll support individuals who are taking part in our many challenge events or organising their own DIY fundraising.  And there’ll be plenty of opportunities to attend events and see our work in action!

Providing the tools, advice and support they need to reach their potential, feel valued and form long term relationships that mean they continue to fundraise for us in future.

You’ll be super organised, fantastic at relationship building, enjoy creating processes, and have great customer care and communication skills. You'll work closely with our supporters, volunteers, local groups and our wider fundraising team.

You’ll be from a supporter or customer care background.

And ideally be able to demonstrate some understanding of community and events fundraising, supporter journey development, and extensive use of customer relationship databases.

About you

You will be a confident leader with strategic and critical thinking skills, and be the institutional champion of legacy giving at UCL. We are an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012. 

DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this. 

Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD.  We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. We have an opportunity to join our team and build on these achievements. We are recruiting for maternity cover for our Personal Assistant and Office Manager, who will be a key part of our team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.

This is an all-encompassing role for an accomplished and confident Personal Assistant to support the Founders and Director of Research of an innovative and ambitious charity and oversee the management of the Duchenne UK office.

The successful candidate will be highly organised with strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals, internally and externally. Reliability and a can‐do, proactive attitude is a must, along with having an outstanding commitment and sense of dedication to understanding, fulfilling and anticipating the principles' and office's needs and priorities.

The Personal Assistant and Office Manager will report to the Finance Manager and work alongside the Managing Director, CEO and Director of Research and Development.

Job Description:

 Duties to include, but not limited to:

• High volume diary management, including work and personal diary prioritisation and filtering out non-essential meetings.
• Answering, screening and responding as appropriate to incoming calls, visitors and correspondence.
• Preparing for internal and external meetings, calls and video conferences including confirming relevant materials are received, printed and bound for meetings.

• Management of travel arrangements. Scheduling and tracking domestic and international travel itineraries within several time zones.
• Administration support for the research team, including arranging meetings and assisting with event and meeting organisation.

• Management of expenses including arranging currency and processing expense claims in a timely manner.
• General office management and operational support including:
  • Liaising with suppliers / brokers (e.g. internet, energy, insurance)
  • Relationship management with office landlord
  • Overseeing office supplies and equipment
• Internal event organisation (e.g. staff away day, wellness day, staff meetings), including budget management, venue booking, overseeing delivery on site.
• Maintaining up‐to‐date contacts.
• Managing internal files and maintaining the confidentiality and organisation of file contents.
• Minute taking and writing, general secretarial and administrative support, including at Board meetings.
• Booking personal appointments for the CEO where necessary.
• Management of deadlines and prompting the team where necessary.
• Other ad hoc duties including personal tasks.
• Occasional support on Duchenne UK’s high-profile events.

The experience needed

• An excellent command of the English language: written and verbal.
• Exceptional diary management skills.  
• Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Event experience would be ideal, but not essential.
• Experience of working with a CRM system would be ideal, but not essential.
