1.Duties and key responsibilities
Donor Stewardship and Reporting
•Research, manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of donors informing, educating, and inspiring them about MAP’s work, and asking them for donations either directly in application or facilitating asks by peers.
•Create a personal plan for each ‘qualified’ donor, taking into account the individual donor’s interest, motivations, giving patterns, any information they need to support our work. Execute that plan on a timely basis plan so that individuals are retained and upgraded.
•Work with colleagues to secure appropriate project information, including budgets, to create effective offers, proposals and cases for support.
•Create reports that accurately reflect activity and performance for donors who have supported specific projects, to show the impact of their gift
•Ensure that all major givers in your portfolio are provided with the highest level of stewardship and take overall responsibility for your own contacts and annual workplan.
•Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system on all existing and prospective donors.
•Provide regular reports to the Philanthropy Manager and Head of Philanthropy.
•Develop relationships with Trustees, Patrons and other ambassadors/high net worth volunteer fundraisers of MAP, where appropriate.
Events
•Ensure that appropriate donors/prospects/influencers are invited to cultivation and fundraising events and to attend these events in the UK.
•Support in the development of Philanthropy team events, including dinners, receptions, and donor field visits, as part of a project team
General
•Work closely with colleagues in the Philanthropy team and other colleagues, maximising all opportunities and supporting a dynamic, successful, and professional team
•Ensure that data security is maintained and that legal and regulatory requirements are fully complied with (such as Data Protection, ICO, Fundraising Regulator and, Institute of Fundraising Regulations), keeping informed of trends and developments in the UK fundraising marketplace.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Major Gift Fundraising (50%)
- Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
- Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
- Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.

The Events & Community Manager role is a new position, created to give the attention and expertise needed to our large and profitable portfolio of virtual challenge events, which have collectively raised over £1m gross income per year for two years. It is a crucial role within the team, overseeing the innovation, planning and delivery of all virtual challenges. You will work with colleagues accross the organisation to seize opportunities, whilst ensuring best practice in our fundraising activity and infastructure, delivering brilliant stewardship during supporters participation in the virtual events and beyond.
The position reports to the Head of Events & Community, and will line manage one Events & Community Executive. Collaboration will be important, especially with the senior Events team managers who lead the innovation, planning and delivery of third party and PCR owned bespoke events.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Project Management and Income Growth
- Lead the strategy to maximise the value of PCR's virtual challenge events portfolio, working with the Head of E&C and others to take a long-term view, building on existing foundations to grow and maintain a sustainable income stream
- Oversee the project management of PCR's Facebook Challenges in the UK, leading end-to-end planning and delivery with the support of the E&C executives to hit ambition fundraising targets
- Design and deliver ambitious fundraising budgets for your projects which contribute net income towards PCR's lifesaving mission

- Work with other team members to improve other areas of social and virtual fundraising (e.g. non-challenge fundraising on Meta), ensuring all supporters are stewarded and income generaltion opportunities are seized upon

The role
As the breadth and volume of our fundraising activity has grown over the last couple of years, an opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and enthusiastic individual to join our database team. Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:
- Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our Philanthropy and Campaign teams builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign which is due to launch in 2025.
- Our database team sit within Fundraising, with their work underpinning and supporting the entire department.

The Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering individual giving strategies to support the organisation’s core artistic programme strategic initiatives. Charity People are excited to partner with a charitable organisation to find them a new Philanthropy Manager, this is a maternity cover role.
As Philanthropy Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Development team. You will actively manage a pool of individual donors to cultivate, steward and solicit donations for exhibitions, education, and programmes. You will have great administrative and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with high-net-worth people, and a sound understanding of fundraising and the sector. There is no line management responsibility for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Philanthropy to implement and refine the organisation's major giving strategy, with a focus on securing mid-to-high level gifts.
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, ensuring personalised cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
- Develop compelling fundraising proposals, working closely with Programmes colleagues to gather project and financial information.
- Support the Head of Philanthropy in securing major gifts for key fundraising campaigns.
- Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for project-specific donations from existing members.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy Officer to research and identify new major donor prospects, building and maintaining a pipeline of potential supporters.
- Ensure high-quality donor stewardship through bespoke engagement, reporting, and recognition opportunities.
- Maintain accurate donor records, tracking gifts and ensuring accurate acknowledgment in exhibition materials, reports, and event invitations.
- Play a role in planning and delivering key cultivation events, to ensure our supporters remain engaged and events meet agreed KPI's.
- Keep up to date with giving trends and philanthropic developments, sharing insights with the team to inform strategy.
- Attend the organisation's events as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained through the CRM system.
- Ensure all personal details are managed in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Work with the Philanthropy team to ensure philanthropic partnerships do not carry financial or reputational risk to the organisation and are compliant with the organisation's ethical fundraising policy through active Due Diligence for Ethics Committee.
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure donations are managed efficiently.
You will bring:
- Experience of cultivating, soliciting and closing 5 figure+ gifts from individuals.
- Previous experience of contributing to or participating in strategy development, devising and implementing plans for major gifts fundraising.
- Pro-active, resourceful and entrepreneurial approach to fundraising and ability to take initiative and work autonomously when required.
- A highly organised and flexible approach to work, able to plan and prioritise a varied and busy workload and deliver agreed outputs to tight deadlines.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into compelling narrative form.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider Development team and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Innovative and creative approach to research methodologies and identifying prospective supporters.
- Previous experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM system.
- Knowledge of data protection legislation.

The role is full time, with one or two days per month based from our National Ministry Centre in Coventry.

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will join a small but passionate fundraising team, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.
The successful candidate will be responsible for securing core and restricted grant income for the different areas of Bendrigg’s work to ensure that outdoor adventurous opportunities are accessible to all. For example, one day might involve submitting a grant application for specialist climbing equipment whilst another might involve meeting with a funder to discuss support for our volunteering programme.
This exciting opportunity will focus on raising funds from charitable trusts and foundations, primarily through grants of between four-and five-figures, to achieve overall annual fundraising targets (currently c. £900,000). The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will build on the existing strong relationships we have to encourage long-term partnerships, develop new relationships with potential funders and explore new opportunities for support.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate well with the team whilst successfully managing a varied workload. This role would suit a self-starter who is passionate, motivated and can manage a diverse portfolio of relationships to secure funding and support for Bendrigg’s work.
