Whilst being homebased, the Senior Supervising Social Worker will visit and support foster families across the TACT South West area including Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire areas but will also travel within the wider region for team meetings, training and other in person events.
Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- Experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
- Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.
- Knowledge of matching criteria and stability of placments.
- Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars.

SENIOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WORKER
LOCATION: ENACT, 52 ISLAND CENTRE WAY, ENFIELD, EN3 6GS
HOURS: FULL TIME (40HRS PER WEEK)
RESPONSIBLE TO: YOUTH AND COMMUNITY TEAM LEAD
SALARY: £28,000 - £32,000 PER ANNUM

Enact have a vacancy for a Senior Youth and Community Worker to lead our open-access community youth provision. We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner to manage our youth team and work within the enact team to develop a range of engaging activities and training opportunities for young people with particular focus on those aged 10 to 19 in the Enfield community.
The Senior Youth and Community Worker needs to be a passionate, enthusiastic and professional. They will lead the youth team to create community-based opportunities for the whole family, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis. The Senior Youth worker will also support the enact team to develop and be involved in community cohesion projects involving children, families and youth.
Enact actively encourages continued professional development and opportunities for further education for all its staff.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.
You will be working as part of the West Sussex night team providing mobile support to our 24-hour services, ensuring that our transitional properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night. You will be based at the Horsham Y Centre and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
In addition, you will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.
This is a mobile role, requiring all applicants to have a full valid, UK Driving Licence. You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.
You will work on four nights on, four nights off rota. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.

You will be an effective communicator who is able to deliver robust, clear handovers and build strong relationships with other members of your team. In addition, you will have the ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

YMCA DownsLink Group’s WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well as raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation.
We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones.
This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.

We are looking for someone with the confidence to work independently across Surrey and feel confident delivering educational work around topics such as healthy relationships, consent, sexual health, grooming etc to groups of young people in an education setting. You will need to feel confident in delivering training and consultancy support to other professionals around exploitation, as well as working with a multi-agency approach and skilled at developing relationships with other agencies. Being able to work autonomously, manage your time and workload while also working closely with the wider WiSE team is essential.
