About the Role:

The Nightstop Coordinator role is busy and varied role, it involves working with young people from when they approach the service to when they find longer term accommodation. You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all young people, assessing each young person’s needs and risks, finding short and long term housing options, organising the logistics of each Nightstop placement and making sure that each Nightstop placement is safe.

You will also lead on the promotion of the service with the aim of recruiting new Nightstop volunteers. The role will be based in the London office and cover referrals from young people in London.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide a welcoming and supportive service to young people at risk of homelessness

· Conduct needs and risk assessments and arrange Nightstop placements

· Support guests and volunteers through a 24-hour on-call service when required

· Recruit, onboard and engage new volunteer hosts

· Promote the service at events and meetings, building strong relationships with partners

· Maintain accurate records and support reporting processes

· Ensure safeguarding and health and safety requirements are met at all times

About You:

We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting young people and has the skills to work calmly and effectively under pressure. You will bring:

· Experience of working with vulnerable people or people experiencing homelessness

· Understanding of housing and homelessness legislation and safeguarding procedures

· Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Confidence in working collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders

· Flexibility to take part in an on-call rota and occasional evening or weekend work

Who we are looking for

• An experienced senior manager with degree (or degree-equivalent qualification).

• Experience of organisational leadership within a financially accountable organisation, whether in the charitable, public, or private sector.

• Proven commercial strategy / business experience, with the ability to generate and manage diverse income streams, including through partnerships, grants, trading, or other business related activities.

• Experience with a wide range of stakeholders and partners and working with them to achieve programme aims.

• Strong data and IT abilities 

• Good public speaker with strong presentational skills

• Excellent Project Management experience

• A strong understanding of environmental issues, with a broad overview of key aspects of ecology, conservation, agriculture, fishing, climate change and other environmental pressures.

Welsh language skills are not essential for this role but are highly desirable. Role Purpose

We’re looking for a flexible and self-motivated Project Assistant to join our team in Newcastle, supporting the delivery of our Home from Hospital and Community Support project.

Preventing admissions, and re-admissions, to hospital is crucial for the NHS. Re-admissions alone cost the NHS over £2 billion per year, and no-one wants to be in hospital when they can be recovering safely and comfortably at home. The Home from Hospital project was developed to help enable people to thrive back at home, and in the community, while at the same time supporting the NHS.

We recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers, who provide a “little bit of help” to people who may be socially isolated, have health issues, or don’t have many people around them.

Our volunteers provide social, emotional or practical support, completing short-term tasks for up to 6 weeks. This includes tasks such as helping with grocery shopping, collecting and delivering medical prescriptions, in person or telephone check in’s, driving someone to an appointment, helping with paperwork, ensuring the home is safe and secure, and lots more!

As our Project Assistant, you will:

· Work closely with Volunteering Matters colleagues in a flexible and agile way, taking instruction and responding quickly to ensure beneficiaries and volunteers have the best possible experience

· Face to face and telephone contact with older people taking part in the project, completing practical, social, or wellbeing tasks to meet their individual needs

· Administrative tasks including providing updates to colleagues on project activities, processing paperwork, and other computer-based tasks to help ensure the smooth delivery of the programme

· Support with the promotion of the project across Newcastle in order to attract new volunteers and generate referrals – this may include drafting content, public speaking and giving presentations

This role is part of a fast-paced and responsive workplace environment. In order to meet the needs of the programme, we are looking for a candidate who can offer significant flexibility when it comes to working hours – ideally over 4 days per week.

As Grants and Impact Manager you will be stewarding high-profile Trust and Foundation donors, researching new prospects, and writing compelling applications using detailed case studies compiled by the team. About the role  

As our Grants and Impact Manager, you will play a pivotal role in sustaining and growing Caring in Bristol’s income from Trusts, Foundations and statutory grants, by acquiring and managing high-value funder relationships. Alongside this, you will take the lead in developing and embedding a clear, organisation-wide Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) programme. This new focus will enable us to set measurable goals, track progress, and capture the real-world impact of our work - ensuring we can tell a compelling, evidence-based story to funders, partners, and the wider community. 

You will identify and lead the creation of high-quality trust and foundation applications and proposals, working closely with the Head of Trusts and Foundations, and take responsibility for a portfolio of funders, building strong, long-term relationships, improving funder satisfaction and securing continued or increased investment in our mission. 

Beyond managing relationships, you will help transform the way we demonstrate impact. By collaborating with service delivery staff to develop our impact monitoring practices you will ensure we can report back to funders with clarity, consistency, and confidence - showing exactly how their support translates into tangible outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Bristol. 

You will also be instrumental in delivering a best-practice funder engagement programme, finding innovative ways to create value for funders through tailored reports, webinars, site visits, and other forms of involvement. Acting as an ambassador for Caring in Bristol, you will represent us to funders and stakeholders with credibility and passion, using your insight to strengthen our reputation and influence. 

Finally, you will act as a voice of the funder within the charity, ensuring their perspective shapes our project design, monitoring, and communications. About The Role
Do you have ability to build positive relationships and identify new fundraising opportunities? Would you like the opportunity to make a difference for people affected by dementia, by engaging with supporters across the South of Northern Ireland?

We are recruiting for a Regional Fundraiser covering the South of Northern Ireland to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until September 2026. This role is homebased but will require you to travel across the South of Northern Ireland with the aim of growing income across the region to exceed fundraising targets.

As Regional Fundraiser, you will be the main contact for regional fundraising within this geographical area, you will represent and promote the work, vision, and purpose of the Society locally, whilst also promoting and supporting the wider work of the Regional Engagement team. Essentially, you’ll be the ‘fundraising face’ of the Alzheimer’s Society engaging and inspiring your supporters to raise funds and awareness for us.

You’ll be building mutually beneficial relationships across the core counties in your area including, Bangor, Lisburn, Portadown, Armagh, Newry, Newcastle, Downpatrick and the outskirts of Belfast. You’ll work collaboratively with others to provide exceptional stewardship for our supporters, whilst remaining adaptable and ready to focus on other areas where funds are also raised.

This might mean you’re helping to attract new supporters from different places or taking care of existing supporters across various income streams in other areas. We will seek to maximise your skills effectively in your core counties, while also making sure they benefit the wider region's needs, enabling you to make a big contribution to fundraising for people affected by dementia.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place (via MS Teams) on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th October.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience in relationship community fundraising or similar transferrable skills such as the ability to build rapport, communicate effectively and use emotional intelligence when engaging with others. You’ll have experience of delivering excellent customer service, account managing or supporter stewardship, ensuring that people you work with feel valued and appreciated.

Crucially, you’ll be able to identify and establish new opportunities with a good understanding of budgeting and financial management combined with the ability to analyse data and information to make informed decisions.

This is an exciting role which will require you to travel across the geographical area of South Northern Ireland, therefore you’ll need to be able to work remotely and independently with a full driving licence and access to a car. Ultimately, this role will enable you to connect with others and build and develop your relationship fundraising and sector experience in a major national charity.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working proactively to identify and deliver new fundraising opportunities within the South of Northern Ireland, through pipelining and winning new income from Corporate, Groups and Associations, Individuals and Third-party activities to maximise income streams.
- Relationship building, providing exceptional stewardship to build relationships that boost retention and lifetime value for our supporters.
- Acquisition and pipelining, driving new business income (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery) and achieving financial targets.
- Recruiting and managing volunteers in line with the activity plan.
- Working with a budget to manage and deliver income, providing detailed commentary and insights to the line manager on variances, capacity and trends at regular intervals agreed.
- Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and identifying cross-departmental opportunities where appropriate by working collaboratively.
