We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Services based in the Dorset East area.
There will be opportunities to hot desk within Bournemouth and Christchurch, as well as Poole NHS sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide Key Worker support following a stroke.
Position: S11166 Stroke Association Support Coordinator (x2 posts)
Location: Home-based, Dorset East however, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 2 x 28 hours per week
Salary: Circa £21,391 per annum
Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026. We have funding for this role until 30 June 2026.

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.
The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.
About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
· Setting up and running virtual groups.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

SPANA - The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad is the global charity for working animals in low-income countries. Since 1923, we have supported the welfare of working animals, including donkeys, horses, camels and elephants, in communities that depend on working animals for water, transport, agriculture and their very survival. We are looking for a Global Resources Coordinator to ensure operations within our global resources team run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include providing general administrative support to different teams within Global Resources, manage supply of office resources and equipment, arrange travel, managing relationships with key suppliers, coordinating schedules and meetings and supporting HR administrative duties.
While we classify this role as hybrid, it's worth noting that the vast majority of your work can be done from the comfort of your own home. Key responsibilities
- Assist staff and visitors with travel booking and coordination when travelling overseas, including booking flights, arranging visas and travel vaccinations.
- Main contact for travel agent building good working relationship.
- Support the Global Resources Director to coordinate and track all insurance policy renewals.
- Liaise with insurance brokers on renewals to ensure competitive costing and ensure timely renewal for all insurance premiums.
- Maintain and order office supplies, stationery, and equipment from the most competitive suppliers.
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job adverts, preparing weekly vacancy listing, supporting interviews, checking references, and drafting employment contracts.
- Support induction processes for new joiners.
- Maintain the employee absent management system and support with any changes/updates.
- Preparation of documentation for all aspects of the employee life cycle, including leavers, changes to terms and conditions, maternity and paternity and flexible working requests.
- Support the Global People and EDI Manager to coordinate the appraisal process, ensure appraisals are conducted and collate training needs into a report for review and action.

Field Exchange (FEX) is ENN’s established online and print technical publication on nutrition and food security in emergencies and high burden contexts. Purpose of the role
This role will provide oversight, coordinate and manage the editorial process of publishing Field Exchange that includes tracking ideas, soliciting and securing submissions of Field Exchange content, critically appraising potential content, discussing, brokering and supporting content development with authors, coordinating input from the Field Exchange Editorial Team, liaising with copy editors and designers and ensuring content deadlines are scheduled and are adhered to, as well as ensuring quality, relevant and timely curated content is produced and disseminated. This position will also take a lead role in implementing the Field Exchange Strategy 2024-2029.
Key Responsibilities
Content development
- Actively seek opportunities for FEX content across a broad range of technical areas, leveraging and developing internal and external contacts and networks.
- Seek and secure a spectrum of contributors, prioritising country stakeholder lead and co-authorship. And including Francophone representation (in collaboration with FEX francophone lead).
- Communicate with potential authors to explore opportunities for content and provide support and guidance in development of articles (structure, writing and technical content).
- Edit articles to address structure, flow and language.
- Appraise articles for rigour and validity. Pose technical questions to authors to clarify, substantiate, elaborate and prompt deeper reflection and learning.
- Identify need for and coordinate internal or external peer review for prospective articles.
- Write succinct summaries (abstracts) of original articles.
- Summarise published research papers and reports into summary articles.
- Collate themes and key messages across all articles for editors and work with them to produce editorials and technical briefs.
- Proof-read designed issues and briefs.
- Review content sub-edited and summarised by other FEX team members for quality control and consistency.
- Ensure due process is followed for translation and quality assurance of translated content (currently in French only).
Dissemination of FEX content
- In collaboration with the ENN communications lead:
- Develop podcasts and soundbites, developing questions for author interview podcasts in collaboration with authors.
- Proactively seek blog content from authors, leading its content development, review and finalisation.
- Contribute to development of a communications plan for each FEX issue in order to disseminate content optimally.
- Curate and initiate development of FEX website content, identifying areas for development.
- Represent ENN at events including conferences, webinars etc. to promote and disseminate FEX, including development of FEX materials such as leaflets, videos etc. where required.
FEX strategy implementation
- Take the lead in the implementation of the FEX strategy 2024-2029, such as by:
- Making smaller adjustments to the FEX process as identified.
- Coordinating larger pieces of prioritised work, for example by:
- Building the capacity of authors through a more comprehensive approach.
- Expanding our reach to younger audiences.
- Engaging with academic institutions in more resource-poor settings.
- Mobilise resources for FEX through engagement with donors and other FEX contributors through identifying potential sources of funding, engaging with donors and ‘selling’ FEX, and writing proposals to secure funding.
Internal project content coordination
- Coordinate, manage and track development of all articles and issues from submission to publication against deadlines, ensuring donor requirements are met.
- Communicate with all authors, FEX team members and external consultants to facilitate the development of every article and issue, as well as other outputs such as technical briefs.
- Collate and review submissions, potential papers for summarising and other opportunities, and solicit necessary and timely editorial review and final decisions.
- Initiate regular meetings and other communications with the FEX editors to provide feedback on progress, explore opportunities, and make decisions about submissions, content to summarise, delegation of tasks and timelines and input into strategic discussions about future content/issues.
- Lead regular meetings with wider FEX team (editors, sub-editors, operations team, communications team, copy editor, designer) for feedback on progress, agreement on timelines, to brainstorm ideas and delegate tasks.
- Present FEX content to wider ENN technical team and other audiences as needed through webinars, presentations and other opportunities.
- Support other FEX team members with information needed for targeting, dissemination, translation into other languages and summarising of content for different audiences.
- Support the capacity-building of new FEX team members.
- Lead the development and review of donor reports, including writing content and collating monitoring and evaluation information.

Terms and Conditions
- Type of contract: Permanent.
- Location: Office or home-based.

Essential requirements
- Master’s degree in nutrition or public health or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrable experience working in the international nutrition sector, including experience working in developing countries.
- Experience producing technical content for a publication, for example writing technical articles, papers and/ or content for peer-reviewed journals.
- Knowledge of the international nutrition sector across a broad range of topics (management of wasting (SAM, MAM, MAMI), IYCF-E, health systems strengthening, adolescent nutrition, women’s nutrition, WaSt and food systems in particular).
- Understanding of relevant research methodologies. Excellent English writing skills and attention to detail.
- Experience of in-depth knowledge management, and / or projects that focus on ‘learning’

Our friendly team in Hammersmith help people living with mental health problems to develop a sense of independence, purpose and fulfilment and gain the skills they need to return to work or simply live a more fulfilling life. But, we need your help.
As a Befriending Coordinator, you will support individuals with lived experience of mental health issues one on one through befriending to help reform and improve their lives. You will also help recruit, support and match volunteers to work with our clients and develop befriending networks that will empower service users to improve and sustain their mental health and wellbeing. Along the way you might support other areas of our service such as peer support groups, workshops and social events for local clients.
To succeed, you’ll need:

Global Generation is looking for a Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about engaging young people and local communities in reaching their full potential and creating positive social and environmental change. In this role, you will co-lead on the outreach and engagement of local communities, especially with a focus on involving and recruiting young people, as well as planning and facilitation of land-based, cooking and creative workshops. You will particularly focus on working with communities in Islington as we increase our engagement initiatives towards the co-build of our permanent community garden in King’s Cross (which sits on the Islington side), due to start this summer.

These practices help us to create the conditions for people to come together in a fuller and more connected sense of who they are and what they are a part of and, from that space, to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change.
Young people have always been and continue to be at the heart of our work. We aim to support them to develop and lead, offering progression opportunities to move from being participants to being action researchers, co-facilitators and ambassadors, to being paid fellows, staff and trustees.
This role is primarily based at the Story Garden and Floating Garden in King’s Cross (and eventually on the new garden we will be building) and working with our Islington community. You will work closely with the education & community programmes team, gardeners, chefs, volunteers and young people, running hands-on and reflective sessions for people of all ages.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The two main areas of the role are:
1. Outreach, engagement and recruitment

Lead on the recruitment and engagement of young people throughout the year, primarily through schools, colleges, community groups, local referral agencies, and local network meetings and events

Develop a diverse range of engaging outreach / recruitment materials, including social media content for the purposes of showcasing our work and inspiring other young people to join

Create and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of audiences, including young people, parents, local community groups and businesses

Inspire young people to participate via assemblies, talks, outreach workshops and follow up phone calls

Assist young people and their parents through the sign-up process from initial expression of interest to joining our programmes, through being in regular contact in the ways that work best for young people

Friday Night Out: Fortnightly after-school cooking programme (4:00-6:30pm), engaging children (8-12 year olds) in discovering the joys of seed to plate, seasonal and sustainable food, growing, harvesting and cooking their own produce. You will work alongside one of our chefs so do not need to be a chef, though an interest in sustainable food and gardening experience is desirable

Generator programme: Regular after-school workshops and experiences for young people aged 13+, incorporating a range of approaches and hands-on and reflective activities to support the holistic development of young people and encourage them to take social and environmental action in their communities

Partnership with Heatherwick Studio as part of a collaborative Young Inspirers programme, linking local school children with opportunities in their studio
You will also work with the Youth & Community Team to plan and deliver community / intergenerational events and experiences that bring people of different ages together.

As the Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator, you will be outgoing and love working and reaching out to people across backgrounds and sectors; you will be ready to take initiative, have a flexible attitude, be able to think on your feet and enjoy finding solutions when faced with challenges and change. You will be able to communicate your passion for Global Generation’s work, the natural environment and social justice to others, particularly young people, in a creative and engaging way, responding to where people are at, and adapting your approach based on this. You will have prior experience of working with schools and finding ways to make the offer relevant to the priorities and needs of young people.
You will readily pick up the phone, follow up on emails sent, visit other organisations and schools, and offer activities in spaces where people are at. You will have experience of actively seeking out partnerships to make our offer even more compelling, beneficial and holistic for the young people. You will have strong project management and coordination skills, as well as planning and facilitating year long programmes, building in different ways of knowing and creative approaches so as to reach a cross-section of young people, adapting to different abilities and needs.
Ideally you will have experience and a love of urban gardening and/or food growing and engaging people in getting their hands in the soil. You will also have an interest in action research and/or participatory approaches to learning, acting and reflecting.
