The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) believes that access to quality sexual and reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right. This is why we are working together with our 14,000 members and partners to shape better sexual and reproductive health for all.

FSRH is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for healthcare professionals working at the frontline of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) in a range of settings in the community and primary care. Our members include SRH specialists, GPs, nurses, midwives and pharmacists. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the lifecourse for all.

FSRH’s External Affairs Team influences policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy as well as raising awareness of SRH rights among the public. We aim to develop policy, build partnerships to enhance influencing ability, and provide external communications inclusive of media relations in order to promote the goals set out in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision and Organisational Strategy, through the promotion of the highest standards in the field of SRH.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK (APPG SRH) promotes awareness and understanding in Parliament of a range of issues relating to sexual and reproductive health across the life course (from menstruation to menopause and beyond). Backed by a passionate cohort of Parliamentarians and other stakeholders, the APPG is Co-Chaired by Dr Rupa Huq MP and Baroness Barker, supported by passionate Vice Chairs, Baroness Sugg and Maya Ellis MP.

About the role

This role plays an integral part in helping manage and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. As the Senior Manager and Deputy to the Director in the team, you will manage the team’s External Affairs Officer, and drive delivery of the ambitions contained in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision. As Manager to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare you will work directly with leading Parliamentarians and partners to manage and deliver the APPG’s annual programme of work and meetings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. A background in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as proven project management and events experience is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.

About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

About you

• Accurately processing fundraising income, including cheques and cash, vouchers (CAF, KKL) direct debits, payroll giving and from online donation platforms (Just Giving, Virgin Money Giving, Facebook) within agreed timescales and in line with provided procedures.
• Create or amend supporter records on Sense’s Raisers Edge database, ensuring that all interactions between charity and supporter etc are recorded accurately and in line with best practice GDPR.
• Identifying opportunities for supporters to further engage with Sense and promoting them as appropriate to help deliver Fundraising department targets (such as sharing a supporter story with our Comms team).
• Work with other fundraising teams to ensure relationships with supporters are managed effectively, both by responding to enquiries promptly and by working to the agreed supporter communications plan. There is also the expectation to attend other teams’ meetings i.e. Community, Events, Philanthropy to understand what activity is happening across the charity. 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience of working in a customer or supporter service environment
• Administrative experience in a busy office environment
• Experience of using Raiser’s Edge or similar Customer Relationship Management database
• Outstanding customer service, an excellent telephone manner and ability to understand team needs to prioritise workloads effectively.

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Supervisor will provide support, guidance and supervise the helpline advisors and in the future helpline volunteers. We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK. 

We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working with schools, sixth forms and further education colleges, the Head of Education and Content will support them to prepare for the lowering of the voting age to 16 and to engage their students in elections and democratic education.

The post holder will design and adapt resources, practitioner training, events and activities as well as manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the further education and civil society sectors.

Working with the Director and the Head of Programmes, the post holder will:

• Collate, source and design learning resources for school and college teachers to use to support their students to engage in elections and democracy.

• Support, build and manage relationships with schools and colleges.

• Provide teachers and practitioners with training and e-learning around election and democratic education.

• Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required. 

The job is based on a 16-month contract, with likely extension (including a 6-month probation period). 

The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.

Further information

Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).

Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month.  Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.

The Role

The Team

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by the organisation in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

A core element of the programme is the expert assistance provided by a team of IPS professionals, known as IPS Grow Leads, to support providers to improve their fidelity to the IPS model and achieve better employment outcomes for their clients.
