Are you a dog lover with excellent administrative skills?
We’re looking for a Property Assistant to provide excellent administrative support to our Property team, who support our busy Rehoming centres with all things property, from reactive repairs to major refurbishments.

What does this role do?
As Property Assistant, you’ll:

• be the first point of contact for the team, supporting our Rehoming centre teams with queries related to their sites and repairs, escalating where appropriate to other colleagues in the team,
• deliver high quality administrative support to the team, from raising purchase orders and arranging travel, to administering our repairs ordering system, Infraspeak,
• support with administration around contractors, such as issuing contracts and drafting meeting minutes,
• support with the planning of regular meetings and site visits.

This is a part time role for 17.5 hours per week, across 2.5 days. The current working pattern for the role includes Mondays, with flexibility across the other days.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for Tuesday 25th November 2025 and will take place on Teams.

Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience in an administrative role, with excellent IT skills. As this role supports a small team, you’ll be working independently often, so it’s critical that you are able to organise your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively. You’ll also need to be a strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role

You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. • Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

This post will be based in the local voluntary sector infrastructure organisation - Torbay Communities, hosts of the Community Helpline.  

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead this nationally recognised and acclaimed innovation. Torbay’s Community Helpline was established during the Covid pandemic and has since been developed by the local community into a central access point to the voluntary and community sector as a whole. Since 2021, it has also been the front door for new Adult Social Care referrals in the area through a unique partnership with the local statutory sector. Providing the best possible support to local residents the Helpline’s strapline ‘One Call – That’s All’ sums up the holistic approach. Individuals and families can access a wide range of support from food parcels to mental health support, help with isolation to debt advice etc. The Helpline links into over 100 voluntary sector organisations locally and into grassroots networks of residents offering support to each other. The Helpline has a strengths-based approach to its operations, with callers often helping others after they have received some support.

We are looking for someone who can lead this initiative into the next phase. Someone with the relevant experience who can identify the Helpline’s potential and - working with staff, volunteers, voluntary sector and statutory sector partners - deliver excellent support to our residents and develop the Helpline to meet future needs.

Respite and Care Executives play a significant role in enabling our beneficiaries to continue to be independent for as long as possible and when/if they require formal care, they can support them during this time too. The role

As a Customer Coordinator, you’ll be a confident communicator as the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring their journey with Scope is smooth, supportive, and person-centred.

In this dynamic role, you will:

· Provide telephone-based support with professionalism and empathy

· Manage customer journeys, book appointments, and track progress

· Log all customer interactions accurately using our CRM system

· Support the updating of our job board

· Support the delivery of services and products across Scope

· Assist with administrative tasks including diary management and data entry

About you

You will have:

· A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, especially over the phone

· Experience of content management systems, such as Kontent AI

· Experience using CRM (ideally Microsoft d365) and call handling systems

· Strong communication and relationship-building skills

· Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office

· A flexible, organised, and proactive approach

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable weather and climate scientist to join us at The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) as the Science Content and Engagement Officer.

Reporting to the Head of Publishing and Scientific Engagement, you will have responsibility for developing content which supports the Society’s member value proposition project, our partnerships, publishing and events programmes; and create engaging content for various RMetS activities and stakeholders.

You will support the delivery of the Society’s career strategy working alongside our education team; lead our ECR and Youth special interest group; deliver RMetS early career initiatives such as our career events; and support Society committees and team members in ensuring early career representation and involvement across our programmes of work.

If you have a passion for weather and climate science coupled with a relevant graduate degree or higher, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you will do in the role:

Content Development

· Collaborate on a strategic content plan for a members-only area.

· Identify content gaps and create, or coordinate with volunteers, the development of engaging pieces.

· Curate and preview existing editorial content to ensure a cohesive user experience.

Careers and ECR activity support

· Deliver youth and ECR initiatives across events, mentoring, publishing, and membership.

· Co-manage the Student Ambassador Scheme.

· Participate in ECR and Student Conference Committee.

Engagement activities across the Society’s programmes of work

· Commission journal content with Editors-in-Chief and collaborate with marketing teams to promote journal content.

· Help source speakers and attend Events Committee meetings.

· Support partnership projects, special interest group outputs, climate training, education initiatives, and other ad hoc activities.

Essential criteria you will need to demonstrate:

-       A background in weather and climate, either through:

-       A degree in a scientific field where weather and climate is the predominant subject matter; OR

-       A Master’s degree within a scientific field directly relevant to weather and climate

-       Broad knowledge across weather and climate, and evidence of involvement in activities to ensure ongoing current knowledge across diverse areas.

-       A confident and approachable communicator who proactively engages with a wide range of individuals and builds positive relationships across diverse audiences.

-       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation for external stakeholders.

-       A friendly and open-minded approach, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a small team.

-       Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage time effectively, balance multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

-       Ability to think creatively, be innovative and embrace new ideas and ways of working.

Desirable skills

-      One year’s work experience post degree, or evidence of work experience/secondment.

-An understanding of how to go about developing and delivering scientific content/commissioning experience

-Experience in communicating scientific concepts and information to a different range of stakeholders (for example the wider scientific and social science community, or the general public).

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, but ambitious grassroots charity run by and for women seeking asylum. WAST has a proud track record of providing a safe space for women to come together in solidarity and campaign for justice in an increasingly hostile environment.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to play a key role in developing and delivering WAST’s women-led programmes. You will work closely with the staff team, management group (elected by members to define WAST’s priorities and organise activities), and our wider membership to ensure that projects reflect the needs and aspirations of the women who use WAST. WAST’s current priorities include delivering wellbeing activities (with a focus on trauma-informed approaches), running asylum information workshops, and strengthening our campaigning group. As Project Coordinator, you will help develop and manage initiatives that support these priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, collaborative, and passionate about supporting women seeking asylum to shape and lead the projects and initiatives they value. 

About WAST

Women Asylum Seekers Together (WAST) is a grassroots Manchester-based charity led by and for women who are seeking asylum and currently has around 170 members. WAST was founded in 2005 by one of WAST’s current board members, whilst fighting her own anti-deportation campaign, and became a constituted charity in 2014.

We provide a safe, supportive space where women can come together to build community, gain confidence, access peer support, and advocate for their rights. Women are at the sharp end of the ‘hostile environment’ with punitive government immigration policies and practice. WAST enables a process of empowerment through which women gain the confidence and strength to voice their experience and campaign for justice.

WAST is a place of hope and belonging with its core values of compassion, respect, inclusion and empowerment and its continuous development of its trauma informed peer support approach. WAST is proud of its pioneering work giving a voice to women seeking asylum and inspiring other women around the country to set up similar groups. WAST has been at the forefront of national campaigning against detention, has published three books and created two plays, giving voice to women’s experiences.

WAST runs weekly skill-building and wellbeing activities, a weekly drop-in session where women can access signposting and referrals to services, and a variety of external events throughout the year. Activities are identified and led by the WAST Management Group, elected by the membership and supported by WAST staff. WAST’s current priorities, as identified by the management group, include developing asylum information workshops, a range of wellbeing trauma informed activities, and advancing the campaign group.
