We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Development Officer to join our Families Together Project in South Yorkshire.

About the role

The Development Officer will be responsible for delivering Family Forums within HMP Lindholme and HMP Moorland, supporting the Development Manager with Professionals Forums and training, and engaging with families and partner agencies in the community. This role plays a vital part in improving the lives of people impacted by imprisonment by fostering engagement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver monthly Family Forums within each prison.
• Engage families and ensure their voices are heard.
• Monitor and track progress from Family Forums.
• Build relationships with prison departments and community agencies.
• Support logistics for Professionals Forums and other events.
• Recruit and manage volunteers with a person-centred approach.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Experience in working with families affected by imprisonment and knowledge of safeguarding and data protection policies are desirable.

The role will include working with patients at various stages of their treatment and rehabilitation.  Experience of providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy, or having worked in a related field, to a high standard. Relevant skills and experience from backgrounds other than advocacy can be build on.

The role:
This role will provide vital support to the foundation’s assessment and management of funding applications, grants, and programme development. The Funding Officer will manage the key administrative functions for the team, as well as a broad portfolio of grants and funding relationships, ensuring strong engagement with partners throughout their funding journey. A key part of the role will involve gathering learning from funded work through reviewing reports, calls, and visits, and feeding this learning into the wider CCC strategy.

Working closely with senior members of the team, the postholder will assess new funding applications, draft recommendations, and contribute to CCC’s strategic development, such as research, convening events, and visits. The person:
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, analytical, and curious, with an interest in one or more of the CCC focus areas. What matters most is a strong interest in the work of charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups, and an ability to understand the challenges they face.

The Role

The role reports to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, with an independent reporting line to the Chair of the Finance Committee.

The role will provide a comprehensive programme of internal audits into the activities of our charity and will report to our Finance Committee with recommendations for improvement. This is a crucial role in safeguarding the charity’s assets and reputation.

• To contribute to the Charity’s efforts to avoid fraud, including by advising on new policies and to lead on fraud investigations where appropriate
• To ensure a joined-up approach to both the external and internal audit work, minimising duplication and feeding into the external audit risk assessment.
• To liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure any potential new financial systems have adequate consideration of internal controls.

About You

You will have:

• A qualification in internal audit or accounting (e.g. CIA, MIIA, AAT, ACCA, CIMA) as a minimum.
• A good knowledge of how charities operate and their main processes including Finance, HR, Fundraising and CRM systems.
• An in-depth knowledge of risk based internal auditing techniques, including testing and sampling methodologies.
• A good understanding of charity related compliance requirements, and appropriate counter-fraud measures and risk management processes
• An ability to act with authority and provide an independent voice on internal audit matters affecting the charity.

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. The Role

As a Skilled Gardener, you will be responsible for the care, cultivation, and maintenance of Richmond Park's 2500 acres of gardens and landscapes.

Delivering practical conservation work and general maintenance tasks, you will protect and enhance the park's conservation status, undertaking repairs and renewals of estate infrastructure, ensuring all park facilities are safe and well-maintained.

You will be tasked with mowing, hedge-cutting, plant care, and tree establishment activities for allocated garden areas, as well as providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices and volunteers, contributing to their training and development by sharing your expertise.

Additionally, you will:

• Operate and maintain countryside machinery and equipment safely
• Assist with winter maintenance tasks, which may include road gritting and snow removal out of hours.
• Implement and promote sustainable gardening practices to enhance biodiversity
• Engage with park visitors, providing information and ensuring their safety and enjoyment
• Collaborate with the Estates Team to participate in planning and programming of work

About You

To be considered as a Skilled Gardener, you will need:

• Demonstrable practical horticultural experience
• The ability to safely operate a range of routine garden machinery, including ride-on mowers, tractors, hedge-cutters, strimmers and leaf blowers
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety
• Good plant knowledge, particularly around shrubs, herbaceous and bulbous plants
• Working knowledge of horticultural plant and machinery operations
• A formal horticultural qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2 in amenity horticulture or RHS (or equivalent experience)
• A full, valid driving licence

We’re looking for an organised and driven Regional Fundraiser to join the Poppyscotland team, focusing on the West of Scotland for 6 months on a fixed term contract. The LifeSkills programme supports individuals and families to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. The LifeSkills Support Worker will work closely with the wider LifeSkills teams (Intensive and Open).

We have a significant opportunity to put the tools into the hands of those working with Children, Young People and Families that will better equip them to see young lives transformed.
