To enable Operation Smile’s global surgical activities, OSUK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraisers and trusts and foundations.

We have created an exciting new position in our team for an ambitious and confident relationship fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team, the Philanthropy Manager position will secure critical income from new and existing major donors through compelling, donor-centred approaches and excellent stewardship.

The position will build on existing relationships with individuals who make significant personal donations, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects, working closely with the Director of Partnerships.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Philanthropy Development

• Ensure achievement of annual income target for philanthropy
• Develop and implement plans for a structured philanthropy programme, for both new and existing donors, aligning their giving with our strategic priorities
• Take primary responsibility for managing the current small pool of major donors, to grow and sustain their giving – strategic development of each relationship will be essential
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new major donor prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships
• Seek peer-to-peer introductions to new prospects, from existing donors, board members and other contacts
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to donors and internal stakeholders
• Work with the Communications team to generate media presence and content to attract philanthropic interest from new prospects
• Represent Operation Smile UK in global philanthropy discussions, applying any global strategies to develop successful fundraising plans for the UK
• Lead on development and management of any philanthropy cultivation events

Additional Responsibilities

• Create and maintain annual philanthropy budget and business plan, including activities from current supporters and forecasting new business income

About the role

Our supporters are central to everything we do. Many choose to fundraise for Prostate Scotland because they, or someone close to them, has been affected by prostate cancer or disease.
As Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in supporting individuals and communities to raise vital funds. You will provide warm, practical and responsive support throughout their fundraising journey — from helping them set up online fundraising pages, to answering questions, sharing their stories and celebrating their achievements. You will help build meaningful relationships with supporters, ensuring they feel valued, listened to and inspired to continue supporting our work.

About DataKind UK

DataKind UK is a small infrastructure charity with a vision of a strong, thriving third sector that embraces data science to become more impactful. Effective data use has the potential to transform an organisation's impact by improving decision-making, maximising operational efficiency, and ensuring service delivery is evidence-based. A lack of access to responsible data science skills and techniques in the third sector means it isn’t having the impact it could.

Essential skills

What we offer

• Working in a small, flexible, hybrid team where you are trusted to manage your time and your projects. If you need to switch your hours one week, or take time out of your working day to go to a dentist appointment, sit an exam, or for your child’s school play, go ahead! We are focused on outputs over time spent at your desk.

Working hours and location 

This is a part-time role (14 hours per week). You can do this across two or more days, depending on your preferred work pattern. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that at least 75% of your working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm UK time, in order to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.

This role will ideally be hybrid / London-based. We can currently provide London office space on Mondays (Victoria), Thursdays (Shoreditch) and Fridays (Victoria). (Please note we don’t currently have any other staff members in the office on a Friday.) We will occasionally hold team days in London - you will be given advance notice of these dates. We may be able to offer remote working for an exceptional candidate, but our preference would be for a hybrid schedule with at least one day in the office (Monday or Thursday) per week - please note this could be a shorter day, e.g. 9-3 to accommodate other commitments.

In this exciting and varied role, you will manage the HR lifecycle, provide HR advice, develop and improve policies and processes, and manage payroll and benefits. You will report to the CEO and work with the with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to deliver a high quality HR & Payroll service. You will demonstrate and promote the culture and values of FoodCycle, incorporating equity, diversity, inclusion and environmental sustainability.​

This is a key role in which you will enjoy using your expertise to interact with all FoodCycle staff (~40 headcount) and lead initiatives like the annual staff survey, performance reviews and provide quarterly HR updates to the Board. You will be responsible for all HR operations and people activities of FoodCycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, PAYE, pensions, employee engagement surveys and performance management and training oversight.​

You will be comfortable managing a busy and varied workload, able to connect with employees and stakeholders while working remotely, and bring your knowledge of HR best practice & employment law to maintain and improve our positive working culture. You will have experience managing HR operations and/or payroll in an organisation with 20 or more people, and CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).​

UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity. Born of the NHS, we’ve been working for over 30 years towards a world where everyone has the healthcare they need when crises or disasters hit.

We are seeking a small number of health professionals to join us as part-time Health Referents to build on the health expertise in our core team. Our core Health Team has significant expertise in humanitarian healthcare and has always brought in additional expert support through consultancies when required. Following a period of significant growth, we are looking to bring specific expertise into the core team on an ongoing basis through a group of part-time Health Referents.

Our Health Referents will bring specific technical expertise in a variety to health fields to ensure that UK-Med’s programme design and implementation remain in line with current best practice.

As a Health Referent, you will provide clinical / technical health expertise and advice, contributing to our work through:

• Advising and guiding our health teams in humanitarian contexts in their planning and work
• Helping design SOPs, policies, and guidance documents for your field of expertise
• Developing capacity building interventions (e.g. training sessions, online learning packages, coaching) to develop skills of UK-Med personnel and our partners (e.g. Ministry of Health staff, other NGOs)

• Working on programme design and proposal preparation for work linked to your expertise

A Daylight Fundraiser will answer to and work alongside the CEO to convey the Daylight Vision and build relationship with key Christian figures. ROLE OVERVIEW

ABOUT SAFETY4SISTERS

Safety4Sisters (S4S) is a specialist Black and minoritised by and for women’s organisation based in Manchester. Our aim is to promote the human rights of migrant women experiencing a spectrum of gendered violence by providing a trauma informed, specialist, holistic and integrative programme of support to Black and minoritised survivors with NRPF. Support is underpinned by the following strands of services and activities; culturally competent advocacy, welfare and destitution support, a specialist refuge dedicated to migrant women with NRPF, therapeutic activities, groups and training, social activities, a helpline for both professionals and women, grassroots campaigning, and strategic advocacy. 

JOB PURPOSE

To support the development and delivery of Safety4Sisters’ policy, campaigning, and influencing work to advance the rights, safety, and wellbeing of Black, minoritised and migrant women and children experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG).

The post holder will contribute to influencing local, regional, and national policy and decision-making on VAWG, honour-based abuse, harmful practices, immigration and asylum policy, and no recourse to public funds (NRPF). This work will be rooted in survivor voice, frontline practice, and Safety4Sisters’ feminist and anti-racist values.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1.To contribute to the planning and delivery of Safety4Sisters’ policy, campaigning, and influencing work in line with the organisation’s strategic priorities.

2.To undertake policy research and analysis on issues affecting Black, minoritised and migrant women experiencing VAWG, including immigration, asylum, and NRPF.

3.To draft policy briefings, consultation responses, reports, statements, and other written submissions to influence decision-makers and statutory bodies.

About the Role

We're looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) based in Havering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new service which works with offenders as they are released from prison. It is a community based setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community, depending on their Licence restrictions. 

You will play a major part in reintegrating our residents back into the community by coordinating and delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual needs, working in collaboration with the wider team. Some activities may vary but could include days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful activities to encourage reintegration, and enhance social skills and community engagement. 

About You

We are looking for someone who has a passion to support vulnerable people in making a change, supporting their rehabilitation and providing opportunities for them to make positive change to their lives, to reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. We are seeking an experienced and diligent HR Administrator to provide HR admin support to the organisation. You will be responsible for all HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serve as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. 

This is part-time fixed-term position, as we review the organisation’s needs in this area, and will be subject to review and possible extension at the end of six months.

As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with more senior HR responsibilities. In order to make the most of the opportunity our redeveloped hall and rooms provide we are seeking to appoint a Venue Manager. We are looking for a personable and energetic individual, with experience in marketing and business development, to help us realise our vision, which puts All Saints Hall back at the heart of community life, both in all that we seek to do in service of the community – especially young people, children, families and those who are marginalised – and as a flexible and attractive space to hire for conferences and classes, parties, weddings and more. 

Whilst the Venue Manager’s focus will, primarily, be on the Hall and its site, it is important that the individual integrates well into the wider staff team. It is also important that our new facilities are seen as one (albeit important) part of the greater whole. The Venue Manager will work closely with the Parish Manager and also our Property Manager, who will be a great resource for the successful candidate, knowing the building inside out.

It will be key for the person who is appointed to this role to understand the importance of mixed usage, for church and community, for outreach and for hires, and the successful candidate will be someone who sees this crucial mix as an opportunity and not a burden. Those already exploring using the Hall, for a range of different activities, are telling us that this is a great selling point, to have beautiful contemporary space, which has been invested in both for hire and for community work.

We very much hope that All Saints’ Hall becomes a busy hub, and it is envisaged that the Venue Manager will build relationships with suppliers, cleaning and security contractors and other assistance (including opening and closing) for times and events where that is appropriate.
