Who you are:

An experienced and ambitious project and programme officer looking for a new challenge engaging with the education sector on the crucial issue of road safety.

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. A keen eye to detail, a methodical and analytical mind are critical requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will be young self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team and under their own initiative. Strong IT knowledge and experience in MS Office and data administration are essential requirements of the role. 

Flexibility will also be a key attribute. They will be part of a small team who have overlapping responsibilities and support each other in the delivery of Egmont’s strategy. As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.

The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.

We’re looking for a MEAL specialist who is, at heart, a peacebuilder.  You’ll deputise for the Regional Director as needed, and work collaboratively as a key part of the Regional Leadership Team to shape the strategic direction of Concordis’ future work across the Central African region.

As Regional Head of MEAL, your work will go above and beyond reporting to the donor on logframe outputs and outcomes to the donor, as important as those are.  With your extensive peacebuilding experience, you’ll work with the team to develop and implement sophisticated metrics for measuring these changes over time.  You’ll feed this information back into programme delivery, to ensure programmes remain accountable to the wider population and adapt to the rapidly changing and fragile contexts in which we work.

You’ll also use your flair for writing and your publishing skills to produce more informal news items, telling stories of the impact of our work, and publicising the recommendations that come from dialogues we facilitate.  This will help us amplify voices that are often ignored by decision makers, leading to evidence-based policy making.

Full Fact is a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find, expose and counter the harm it does – a team which has seen firsthand how bad information promotes hate, damages people’s health and hurts democracy. Full Fact fights for the right information to reach the people who need it most, whether that’s individuals making decisions about their health or who to vote for; or politicians debating the future of our country.

The Philanthropy Officer will create and manage their own portfolio of existing and potential philanthropy donors and use relationship building skills to create strong links with both new and existing donors, including delivering high quality stewardship and reporting on Full Fact’s successes. The post-holder will create and update detailed and persuasive cases for support for new and existing Full Fact projects and deliver successful events that align with Full Fact’s mission and increase engagement. About Furthering Talent

Furthering Talent helps musicians from the earliest stage in their musical journey. The programme is specifically designed to help young people from low income families sustain their musical learning after initial state-funded whole-class lessons end, so they can keep on progressing and playing music well into their teens and beyond. The programme aims to effect significant change in how the musical potential of young people from low-income families is identified and supported.

The role

You will be the first point of contact and support for the team of Connectors in your Hubs, attending Teachers’ Forums and Get Togethers where possible and helping with the coordination of data gathering and management. You will help drive the promotion of the Connector role and handle any incoming Connector enquiries via the Young Sounds website, allocating them to the appropriate Connector. You will oversee the mentoring and youth voice offer in each Hub. You will be a champion for Young Sounds’ musically inclusive approach throughout the sector and will support the promotion of Young Sounds’ CPD and learning resources, especially the Charanga hosted Individual Learning Plan.

From personal stories and blogs to landing pages and webforms, you’ll support teams across the charity and lead the content creation for some of our key projects and campaigns.

Signalise Co-op Booking Coordinator

£23,400 - 25,900k per annum (pro rata) depending on experience (plus London weighting if applicable). 

30 - 37.5 hours Monday - Friday, with additional on-call rota days (1 weekend in 4, plus 2 evenings per week, toil for any work done in those hours). Home based with quarterly face-to-face team meetings and occassional office visits. We are looking for someone who can ideally work 5 days per week but will consider 4 days for the right candidate.

Signalise is a platform co-op providing British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters. We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join our dynamic and supportive team. You will work closely with our Communication Services Team Leader to provide a high quality and efficient service, helping the business to achieve agreed targets whilst working to the co-operative’s ethos.

Responsibilities will include coordinating the provision of communication professionals for Deaf/Hard of Hearing people across the North West for medical (including mental health) appointments and for other work in a variety of sectors (education, child protection, conference, employment,  legal settings etc). Accepting and making calls. Dealing with bookings and general enquiries in a fast-paced environment. Supporting marketing and business development and communicating to members and external stakeholders. Supporting other staff where necessary. 

Requirements: 

• Excellent customer service skills and comfortable in a client-facing role

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to meet strict deadlines, follow contractual service levels and prioritise your time effectively

• Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of Word, Excel, Databases with the ability to learn how to use dashboards and other applications

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to follow processes and develop these where needed

• Problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box

• Ability to work autonomously, yet with full support from management

Desirable: 

• Knowledge of BSL interpreting and other communication support provisions e.g. lip speaker, deafblind interpreting communication support

• BSL skills to level 3

• Understanding of Deaf community members communication needs

• Understanding of Deaf culture

• Experience of co-operatives

Our co-operative is co-run and co-owned by its members, who are Deaf people and BSL interpreters. As an employee you can become a member and have a say in how the business is run. About Myaware

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people living with myasthenia.  

Myasthenia means muscle weakness. The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions including myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia, Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome and congenital myasthenic syndrome.

· We work to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition.

· We provide support services for people living with myasthenia and their families. These include welfare advice, online support groups and webinars, social media peer support groups and support and information via telephone and email.

· We raise vital awareness and campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.

· Myaware funds research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic guidance and oversight, ensure operational efficiency and sustainability, and maintain the organisation's commitment to serving the myasthenia community.

Your responsibilities in the role will include:

· Advising and working with the Chair and Trustees on the strategic direction of the charity and implementing board decisions,

· Leading by example and embodying Myaware values of respect, passion, collaboration, integrity and sustainability,

· Networking across the sector and raising the profile of the charity and people living with myasthenia across the nations where Myaware operates,

· Delivering effective management and administration of the organisation,

· Leading a fantastic team of colleagues, supporting their work and development and displaying emotional intelligence and leadership.

· Providing a clear vision and promoting the mission, aims and objective of Myaware and leading delivering the budget, an ambitious fundraising strategy and organisational direction.

Location: Remote, with regular attendance at offices in Derby

Salary: £50-55K dependent on experience

Reports to: Chair and Board of Trustees

Holiday: 36 days including statutory bank holidays

Pension: 5% employer contribution
