The Membership officer will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and successful membership journey for FSC members. This role will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of member activities and events. The role will also contribute to a culture of continual learning through gathering and analysing member feedback and implementing changes as part of FSC’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework.

The successful candidate must be able to self-manage projects and tasks to completion. Flexibility, positivity, proactively, independence, drive and a willingness to pitch in as true team-player are essential to success. This role reports to the FSC Executive Director but works closely with other members of the team.

Fundraising Officer (Trusts and Foundations)

About the role

Background

Hackney Migrant Centre (HMC) delivers a free advice and support service for vulnerable migrants who have immigration, housing, welfare and health problems. We support visitors to secure their immigration status and move out of homelessness and destitution in the long-term, as well as assisting to address immediate issues, such as access to healthcare. HMC’s work is informed by a vision of a UK where no one is forced into destitution, exploitation or vulnerability as a result of their immigration status.

We have secured funding from Trust for London to employ an Immigration Advisor. The Immigration Advisor will provide immigration advice and assist visitors to make immigration and asylum applications. The postholder will work alongside external advisors to provide initial immigration advice on matters including human rights based applications, asylum, trafficking and family reunion. Advisors will work alongside Immigration Caseworkers and volunteers to coordinate and oversee the next steps for visitors after the initial immigration advice has been provided.

This role sits within the Immigration team, consisting of an Immigration Team Manager (part time), an Immigration Caseworker and a Long Residence Immigration Caseworker. HMC also benefits from two Housing & Destitution Caseworkers and the support of a Fundraising Officer and Volunteer & Participation Manager who are managed by the Operations Manager and CEO. HMC is supported by over 50 dedicated volunteers who work across the organisation. In addition, HMC works closely with a number of partner organisations to ensure visitors can access specialist legal advice and long-term support with immigration, housing, destitution, health and wellbeing. These include, Together with Migrant Children and Islington Law Centre.

We are keen to hear from applicants who have OISC Level 3 accreditation, the equivalent IAAS or a valid exemption. We will consider applicants with OISC Level 2 accreditation who can demonstrate experience of skills required below.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Advice and casework

- Provide high quality advice and representation for visitors with complex or urgent cases, specific vulnerabilities or those who would otherwise face particular difficulty in accessing representation from legal aid providers. For advisors with Level 3 OISC accreditation, this will be up to and including appeal-stage casework.

- Assist in the supervising of the work of the Immigration Caseworkers and volunteers.

- Provide training to HMC’s volunteers on immigration issues and maintain up to date resources.

- Provide immigration advice and support to the Housing staff team where available housing options and routes out of destitution are dependent on future immigration applications.

2. Collaborative working

- Work with HMC’s existing external advice partners to ensure effective, co-ordination of advocacy and casework support on a wide range of issues.

- Develop links and partnerships with other organisations to enable effective joint working.

- Provide information, statistics and case studies to external and internal stakeholders to support campaigning, advocacy and research relevant to HMC’s visitor group.

- Work closely with partner organisations to identify legal issues affecting HMC’s visitor group and, where appropriate, contribute to litigation and strategic policy work undertaken by external stakeholders to address these matters.

3. Compliance and Regulation

- Ensure HMC is meeting the standards required to maintain OISC accreditation.

- Keep up to date with legislation and guidance required to provide immigration advice at OISC L3 or OISC L2 dependent on accreditation level and meet the relevant OISC competence requirements, including maintaining a Personal Competence record of personal objectives regarding training and development.

- Ensure accurate record keeping using HMC’s case management system.

- Work with the Immigration Team Manager to ensure an effective monitoring system for the work and outcomes of the Immigration Team for funding and reporting purposes.

- Administrative tasks relevant to the post.

4. OTHER DUTIES

The post holder will be expected to:

- Implement sensitively HMC’s policies and procedures, especially with regards to confidentiality and equal opportunities

- Work collaboratively with other HMC staff, volunteers and professional advisors

- Participate actively in staff meetings, and other meetings as may reasonably be required

As digital content officer, you’ll design, edit and optimise our web content to help our users feel empowered throughout their breast cancer experience.

From personal stories and blogs to landing pages and webforms, you’ll support teams across the charity and lead the content creation for some of our key projects and campaigns.

You’ll also help set the standard of content on the new website by training teams on new processes on the new CMS and coaching them on web best practices.

Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, a fanastic opportunity to join a specialist London Charity, who provide a crucial medical response service within the Capital. Hybrid Working; a min of 2 days a week office based.

Key responsibilities:

Fundraiser Training, Engagement and Quality

What's the role about

This is a key role working alongside our Project Manager and Senior Race Equity specialist to shape our ways of working to be more inclusive. This will include coordinating activities, supporting taskforce members, researching, create content and training materials with support.

The role would suit somebody with strong organisational and communication skills with a background in race equity work who wants to apply these skills in the conservation sector, or someone with demonstrable coordination/administration skills and EDI knowledge and experience that wants to step into the race equity space.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience of coordinating and synchronising resources and people, in the delivery of anti-racist or EDI related activities and events.
• Awareness of the intersectional impact of protected characteristics, the Equality Act 2010 and barriers to people of colour, disabled people and people in other protected groups at work. 
• Experience of generating ideas that relate to EDI topics, creating short written or visual content, making information accessible to different audiences as a blog, video, infographic or other content formats.
• Strong administration and organisational skills, including the ability to manage data or records, manage own time and prioritise, create basic project plans and meet agreed deadlines.
• Experience of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and calendar or similar
• Strong IT skills across a range of software including knowledge or willingness to learn using SharePoint to a good standard.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Corporate Partnerships Officer will be supporting the growth of The BRIT School’s corporate income through donations, sponsorship and employee giving. 

The Team

The Development Team at The BRIT School is focused and experienced – with colleagues having worked in award-winning not-for-profits and national arts centres - consisting of the Director of Development, Trusts and Grants Manager, Corporate Partnerships Manager, Trusts and Grants Officer, Philanthropy Officer and Development Administrator, with a supportive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our Wellbeing team and work across two new projects aimed at improving older people's lives. Working closely with Age UK's Network of 120+ local and independent Age UK partners, this role will support the delivery of projects across their life cycle, ranging from the implementation of funder-led reporting requirements to liaising with partners on the impact the project has had on their beneficiaries.

The successful candidate would enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to ensure the successful delivery of the projects. You will carry out a range of duties to assist the team in the coordination, planning, monitoring, and delivery of the Programme. From researching and meeting with relevant suppliers and organisations, to assisting with the development and maintenance of project plans. The post-holder will need to work effectively with our other internal departments, local Age UKs and delivery partners. Therefore, proficient organisational and communication skills are a must.

Please note that due to the Hybrid nature of this role, the successful applicant may be required to commute to the central London co-working hub on a regular basis, for example around four times per month.

Must haves:

* Experience of co-ordinating activities to ensure projects and work programmes are delivered on time and on budget.
* Experience of communicating, both in writing and verbally, with a range of stakeholders.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to meet objectives.
* Experience of managing large volumes of data from multiple sources.
* Experience of managing large volumes of communications through multiple channels, including emails, Microsoft Teams, letters and phone calls.
* Experience of collating data and reports, including preparation of tables and graphs.
* Experience of data entry and analysis to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience of organising meetings and planning and delivering projects to agreed quality standards.
* Experience of uploading and maintaining content on intranet and internet sites is desirable.
* Confident dealing with people from different levels and backgrounds.
* Ability to work flexibly and prioritise competing deadlines and workloads.
* Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to track progress of deliverables.
* Excellent IT skills, in relation to Microsoft Packages, which should be proficient at a high level.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to report on progress in writing and verbally.
* Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
* Understanding of issues facing older people/ understanding of dementia.
* Commitment to promoting equality and valuing diversity in practice.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a highly effective person – someone who is passionate about volunteering and looking for an opportunity to work with Islington’s residents and our vibrant and diverse VCFSE sector.

Purpose of the role (and primary function)
We are entering an exciting new phase of development at VAI, and our ambition is to maintain our current volunteering support offer as well as developing new services.

We are seeking a Volunteer Centre Support Officer to:

• Deliver high-quality volunteering brokerage (connect) services to residents and VCFSE organisations.
• Lead on volunteering outreach in the community.
• Provide good practice volunteering support to VCFSE and corporate and public sector organisations.
• Assist with the day to day running of the Volunteer Centre including volunteer management and the continuous development of the service.
• Promote volunteering and assist with marketing of the Volunteer Centre service.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.

About the role
We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income, and deliver our e-learning programmes. You’ll help ensure our members are informed about the latest developments and learning opportunities, and they’re valued for their contributions to the PVRI. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website and social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees from over 30 countries to our scientific webinar.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll need to create successful marketing plans and grow our membership. You will also bring excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate high-quality webinars.
