Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for an Interim Supporter Care Manager to join our Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team based in London.

About us

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

The Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team deliver the Fundraising strategy and provide high quality operations to support the Fundraising Directorate.  The team has a variety of different functions including Supporter Care, Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications as well as general administration. This role will be managing the Supporter Care team of three people.

About you

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a busy supporter care environment, working to tight deadlines
• Experience of writing donor correspondence and creating data capture guidance
• Proven experience of supporter care campaign management including creating clear processes and flow charts and managing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to develop strong working relationships with external suppliers and internal departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and produce written documents to a high standard

• • Overseeing the Supprter Care team, leading and managing the vision of the team and ensuring that outstanding levels of service are provided to our supporters.
  • Third party supplier management- pint of contact for third party suppliers, advising on process from Supporter Care prospective.
  • Budget Management - managing the annual Supprter Care budget for fulfilment.
  • Cntact Centre and Zendesk Management - providing proactive and responsive support to Fundraising teams to enhance fundraising efforts

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People – Principal Gift Manager
Location: Options for role to be site-based (Buckinghamshire or East Yorkshire), hybrid or home-based contract with regular UK travel for donor meetings and team events.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a Principal Gifts Manager responsible for identifying, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors to the charity giving £100,000 plus.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the post-holder will work closely with senior leaders, trustees and senior stakeholders to solicit high value gifts, typically of six and seven figures, and to build and deepen long-term relationships between donors and the charity. You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of potential and current principal-level donors, as well as delivering exceptional stewardship journeys that demonstrate the impact and value of donor support.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in securing major gifts at the six-figure level or above, ideally in a principal or transformational giving context. You will be skilled at building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, as well as be experienced at developing and delivering complex donor strategies and bespoke giving propositions. Finally, it is important that you are a collaborative team player with strong project management and communication skills.

Since the charity’s origins, Caring in Bristol has been powered by the input of hundreds of grass roots volunteers from around Bristol. People give their time and expertise to all our services in different ways, ranging from casual volunteering shifts to long term in-depth consultation about our work in their communities. This role will work across the organisation to build, strengthen, and sustain a strong team of volunteers and community participants to support our strategic priorities. 

The postholder will be responsible for leading on all aspects of our volunteering and community participation programme, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing the assigned budget, as well as recruitment, induction, training, support, engagement and retention of volunteers.

Our Volunteers 

We utilise volunteers and community participants across all areas of our work to support and enrich the work we deliver. It is important to understand the different sets of volunteers we work with: 

Winter – over 400 volunteers come together each winter to run our Caring at Christmas day centre and distribute food deliveries across the city. Caring at Christmas has a legacy of over 30 years and relies on a range of volunteers from highly experienced to completely new to the organisation. Additionally, during particularly cold weather, Caring in Bristol volunteers support emergency shelters in the evenings and mornings. 

Food clubs – a small but committed set of volunteers help deliver our Bristol Goods food support programme. We have a fantastic set of regular volunteers at our Hartcliffe and city-centre food clubs with plans for a new location soon. 

Youth services –our accommodation project launched in July 2024, providing four bedrooms for 18-25 year olds each night. Our youth team also run group sessions throughout the week. Volunteers are needed to provide invaluable support to these activities to ensure the young people feel welcome and comfortable. 

Co-Production and Consultation Participants – our committed group of community members are essential to shaping the way we work, taking their housing knowledge out in the wider community. They are often used as a focus group for housing/policy consultations, supported by our Outreach Worker. This work is established in South Bristol, and we are developing a similar group in North Bristol. 

Community Advocates – This is an exciting area of work we wish to develop and grow over the next year; training up community members on Housing Rights and routes for support, empowering them to share this knowledge, signposting those in need of support so to prevent homelessness. 

Fundraising & Office Volunteers – we often have tasks that volunteers can help with which help the “back office” of the charity. This could include helping to organise events, fundraising activities, stuffing mailing envelopes, stocktaking our food store or offering specialist skills /advice. 

Person Specification 

We expect you to meet most of these criteria. However, we don’t expect you to meet every point and welcome applicants with transferable skills and an ability to apply themselves in a new context. 

• Experience of recruitment or marketing opportunities in the charity sector 

• Experience of leading and motivating a team of volunteers 

• Understanding of co-production approaches and a demonstrable commitment to empowering community members

• Demonstrable knowledge of the motivations for volunteering and the different needs or requirements that volunteers may have 

• Clear understanding of the legalities around volunteer management and health & safety

IPSEA (Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) is a national charity providing free and independent legally-based information, advice, and casework support to help children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the education they are entitled to by law. We also deliver training to parents, carers, and professionals to improve understanding of the SEND legal framework.

With the Government expected to publish a White Paper that could significantly alter the SEND legal landscape, IPSEA is undertaking two major campaigns: one to protect existing legal rights, and another to make SEN Support a legal requirement.

IPSEA is co-leading the Save Our Children’s Rights (SOCR) campaign alongside Special Needs Jungle, Learning Disability Today, SEND National Crisis, SOS!SEN, SEND Rights Alliance and others committed to defending children's rights. This campaign was launched in response to reports that the government is considering reforms that could weaken the legal rights of children and young people with SEND; particularly the right to an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan in mainstream schools. It calls on the Government to retain the current legal framework, ensure the SEND system is properly funded and accountable, and avoid any rollback of statutory protections.

In parallel, IPSEA is working in partnership with the charity Contact to advocate for placing SEN Support on a statutory footing. Currently, schools have limited legal obligations to support pupils with SEN who do not have an EHC plan.

This campaign seeks to establish stronger, enforceable duties on schools to provide SEN support, alongside increased investment, so that more children can have their needs met without requiring an EHC plan

Consequently, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Campaigns Manager to coordinate this work - working with our IPSEA teams, amplifying our voice, and supporting our fundraising efforts during this critical period. The Campaigns Manager will play a key role in driving forward this initiative, engaging stakeholders, mobilising public support, and influencing policy outcomes.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll need substantial experience in planning and delivering successful high-profile campaigns, managing campaign budgets and evaluating impact. With strong project management skills, you’ll be able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. You’ll also have an in-depth understanding of public affairs, media relations and/or fundraising campaigns in the charity or not-for-profit sector. Using digital tools and platforms for campaigning and supporter engagement, you’ll be able to translate complex issues into accessible messages.

IPSEA should also reflect the communities we support. We would particularly like to hear from candidates from ethnic minority backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ people, under-served communities and disabled people, as well as those with lived experience of the SEND system, either as a child or as a parent/carer.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Management & Development

• Manage staff and services, ensuring high standards of delivery, efficiency, and positive outcomes for our clients and tenants.

• Oversee data security measures and conduct regular data audits.

• Oversee the secure storage, retention, and disposal of all personal data, both digital and physical

• Manage data subject access requests (SARs) and data breach incidents, ensuring timely and appropriate responses and reporting to the ICO where necessary.

• Ensure staff receive appropriate data protection training and maintain accurate records of compliance efforts.

 

Operational Management

• Lead on complaints, compliments, and comments management, overseeing the entire process from receipt and investigation to resolution and trend analysis for service improvement and reporting.

• Support the Head of Services and Operations with lease management for charity properties.

• Work closely with the Head of Services and Operations to support the charity's safeguarding function, acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead when required.

 

HR and Training and Development

• Work with SMT and support the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures (most of these are developed with our HR Support provider).

• Oversee the Finance Assistant & HR Administrator's HR responsibilities, ensuring efficient and compliant recruitment, onboarding, induction, and HR record-keeping.

• Provide support for HR processes for disciplinary and grievance matters, in line with the Charity’s policies.

• Work with the Head of Services and Operations to lead on the development and implementation of the charity's training and development strategy, identifying needs and overseeing delivery to enhance staff and volunteer capabilities.

Health and Safety

• Support the implementation and ongoing adherence to Health & Safety policies across all sites, fostering a safe environment for all.

• Oversee the Finance Assistant & HR Administrator responsibilities to ensure all staff and volunteers receive appropriate health and safety training and refreshers.

• Work with staff to ensure incidents are investigated, take the lead on analysing, and reporting. Working with the Head of Services and Operations, managers and Team Leaders ensure health and safety actions are logged and followed up appropriately.

• Oversee the maintaining of accurate records of all health and safety activities, training, and incidents and pull off and analyse reports for SMT and Board.

General

• To participate in the on-call out of hours decision making rota as required

• Contribute to the charity’s strategic objectives and operational plans.

Role Summary

We require a digital marketing and communications professional to have overall managerial responsibility for CEC’s corporate digital communications channels and support our wider marketing work through leading key distinct audience engagement projects in line with our strategic priorities.

About the opportunity

As Senior IT Project Manager, you'll lead some of our most complex technology programmes. Overseeing delivery of major technology initiatives that directly enhance our ability to support people affected by dementia. You'll line manage a team of IT Project Managers and Project Support Officers. You'll bring out the best in your team while delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within budget.

This is an important technical leadership role within our Technology Directorate. Working closely with our Project Management Office (PMO) to implement large-scale technology projects using PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies. You'll build relationships across the organisation. Managing cross-functional specialist teams and ensuring our technology infrastructure, systems and applications evolve to meet the needs of those we serve.

About you

You're an accomplished Senior IT Project Manager with proven expertise in delivering complex technology programmes. You have substantial line management experience and a passion for developing others while driving successful project outcomes. You'll have:

- Significant line management experience with responsibility for team development, performance management, and leading through organisational change.
- Proven track record in senior IT project management roles, delivering complex technology change programmes with lasting organisational impact.
- Extensive experience across technology infrastructure, data, digital, systems and/or applications project delivery, with in-depth expertise in at least one area.
- Advanced understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle management, including planning, risk management, resource allocation and financial controls.
- A formal project management qualification at Practitioner level (PRINCE2, MAPM, PMP, or APMG) alongside experience with both traditional and Agile project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication abilities, engaging technical and non-technical audiences with equal effectiveness alongside strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

What you’ll focus on: 

- Formal line management and development of a small team of IT Project Managers and Project Support Officers including coaching, mentoring and supporting their career progression.
- Leading selected technology programmes within our broader Technology Transformation initiative, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets and strategic organisation wide objectives.
- Managing cross-functional specialist teams and building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable technology solutions.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, maintaining proper governance structures, and producing regular progress reports for senior leadership and project boards.
- Identifying, documenting and managing risks and interdependencies across programmes, escalating resource conflicts and issues as appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with the PMO to ensure projects align with our methodology standards while supporting the organisation's broader strategic goals.

About the role

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Manager. The role will be focused on raising funds from high-net-worth individuals capable of giving six-figure gifts and key in achieving our strategic priorities. It will involve working both independently and closely with senior stakeholders in order to cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing funders, securing income towards a diverse range of core and capital projects.

Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team and reporting into the Senior Philanthropy Manager (HNWI), the role will cultivate and build relationships with a portfolio of potential and existing funders, engaging with them through correspondence, meetings, events and creating compelling proposals to secure funding. The role will provide exemplary stewardship and create robust and long-term pipelines, whilst actively supporting the Philanthropy Executive with their portfolio.

About you

The appointed person will be able to secure and manage gifts from high-net-worth individuals, and have exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey detailed information in a concise and engaging manner. They will have an ability to establish productive relationships with a variety of funders, prospects and colleagues and be able to to establish productive relationships with a variety of funders, prospects and colleagues. The person will be able to work proactively and constructively with colleagues to develop high-quality project proposals and act as an ambassador for the Natural History Museum amongst a range of high-profile external contacts. Finally, they must have exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and meet regular deadlines whilst working under pressure.
