The Income Generation Officer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the financial sustainability and growth of Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW), supporting 47 active mountain rescue teams across the region. This voluntary position is responsible for devising and implementing a robust income generation strategy to ensure the long-term funding and stability of the organisation.
Resource is required to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to support long-term funding and organisation growth, financial stability and the achievement of income goals. This will include building relations with major donors, corporate partnerships, legacies and individual giving. In addition, there is scope to drive income through MR membership and via grants from trusts, foundations and government.
Reporting to the CEO, the person will need to contribute to the MREW’s overall future strategy. There will be a need to understand the MR structure and to have the ability to work as part of the MREW Senior Management Team, and alongside trustees, liaison team, regional structure and local teams.
Using the MREW Income Generation Strategy, they will review all existing income generation streams to understand their viability and scalability, along with all potential new income streams to develop sustainable income for MREW.
Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW) is a voluntary organisation that provides mountain rescue services 24/7, 365 days a year, and offers support to communities during other crises. It consists of 47 independent volunteer search and rescue teams that operate across eight geographical areas. The organisation serves as the national body to represent the whole organisation, acting as an advisory body, linking with partner organisations and helping to standardise training and share information.
Objectives
The overarching activities for this role are:
- Develop an income generation plan, aligning with the financial planning cycle, with a periodic review and reporting cycle. Deliver against the plan.
- Central to the role will be the following essential tasks:
- Grant Writing: Researching and writing grant proposals to secure funding from various trusts, foundations, and government agencies.
- Corporate Partnerships: Building and maintaining relationships with businesses to secure corporate sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions.
- Donor Engagement: Cultivating and managing relationships with individual donors and supporters to ensure their engagement and long-term support.

Our Work:
Greenwich has one of the highest rates of domestic abuse in London. Last year
alone, over 4,000 domestic offences were recorded in the borough: a shocking 35%
higher than the London average. Demand for our services has risen sharply: in 2017,
we received 321 acute high-risk referrals but by last year, this had more than
doubled to 780. The most common form of abuse reported is physical violence
(62%), followed by controlling and coercive behaviour (46%). However, the sad
reality is that many women face multiple and overlapping forms of abuse, including
sexual abuse and rape, threats to their children, financial control, and forced
imprisonment.
Last year, Her Centre supported nearly 1,000 women to find safety, seek justice, and
rebuild their lives. We also help children who witness abuse recover from trauma and
support teenagers facing exploitation or violence to recognise unhealthy
relationships and build self-worth. Her Centre is a safe and welcoming space where
all women are listened to and believed in an environment of trust and respect.

• Oversee the HER Centre’s finances to ensure its regulatory and legal

About the role
We are seeking a finance-focused Trustee who will play a pivotal role in supporting the Trust’s strategy, sustainability and long-term planning.
As a Finance Trustee, you will:
- Support oversight of the Trust’s financial strategy, reserves, risk and long-term sustainability.
- Provide scrutiny and constructive challenge to ensure robust financial governance.
- Work closely with fellow Trustees to oversee growth, investment and capital planning.
- Help ensure resources are deployed effectively to maximise educational impact.
- Contribute to the Audit & Risk and/or Finance Committee, depending on experience.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced strategic leader with strong financial expertise who can add immediate value to board discussions and oversight.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Senior financial leadership experience (e.g. CFO/FD, Audit Partner, or equivalent).
- Understanding of financial strategy, sustainability, risk and audit.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and advise non-finance colleagues.
- Experience of working within, or advising, regulated or multi-site organisations.
- Commitment to community impact and improving life chances for young people.
- Experience within education or the public sector is welcomed but not essential.

Treasurer and Trustee sought for Trauma Aid UK, a leading charity dedicated to training in underserved countries affected by war, conflict and disaster.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Trustee and the Treasurer of Trauma Aid UK. The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the charity, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and advising the Board of Trustees on financial matters. This is not an accounting or book-keeper role and does not require access to bank accounts.
The Trustee/Treasurer role is to support the financial stability and integrity of our organization. Knowledge of UK legalities surrounding charity financial transactions and the Charity Commission an advantage. The Treasurer is required to be UK based and we request UK citizenship as the evidence of right to work in the UK. A DBS check will be required.
As a leading training provider since 2009, we work in partnership with local mental health professionals through training, supervision and advanced workshops to build a network of qualified and experienced therapists who can offer treatment and train others in evidence-based trauma therapy. We are currently working in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Arab Countries.
Time commitment : Approximately 9 meetings per year (every 5-6 weeks minus holidays periods and summer)
About 1 hour per month. Working from home but occasional in person Strategy meeting, typically annually and in London (next meeting is January 24th 2026).
Key Responsibilities
- Advisory Role: Provide financial advice to the Board of Trustees on the implications of decisions and initiatives.
- Compliance: Complete the annual online return to the Charity Commission, detailing the charity's income, expenditure, and trustee information.

Position Overview:
The Service Sales Specialist plays a dual role in driving programme enrollment and delivering exceptional service to prospective participants. Required Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

2+ years in sales, telemarketing, or customer service roles with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
