We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Head of Evaluation to design and deliver high-quality evaluation programmes that generate actionable evidence to improve youth employment outcomes in England.
You will work closely with the Director of Impact and Evidence and Deputy Director of Evidence and Evaluation to lead a team of Evidence and Evaluation Managers.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Evidence and Evaluation, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of a portfolio of complex impact evaluations.
- You will manage a team of Evaluation Managers, supporting their development while delivering projects that inform Youth Futures’ strategic goals.
- You will design and manage complex programmes of evidence generation to understand what works to support young people into good work. These programmes will focus on impact evaluations and so you will have an in-depth understanding of quantitative impact evaluations, especially Randomised Controlled Trials and quasi-experimental designs.
- You will have a sound understanding of youth employment and/or skills and design evidence-generating projects in a complex field that includes partners from national and devolved government, the third sector and employers.
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

The Public Affairs Manager will be a key member of our busy External Affairs Team within the wider Policy and External Affairs directorate.

About the role
At the Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.
This role is an exciting new opportunity to shape and deliver on Motability Foundation’s aims to become more insights led and to systematically involve disabled people in our decision making. You will support the Head of Insight and Evaluation in providing the organisation with insight drawn from existing research, primary research, business data and through user insight. The role will lead development of a user insight approach and clear mechanisms to involve disabled people in the Foundation’s decisions systematically. The role will establish a user insight research community (akin to a customer panel but broader in scope), which the organisation can draw from for user insight.
The role is also responsible for delivering a strategic research and insight plan for the organisation to inform operational and strategic decisions, including feeding into our strategy mid-term review. Others in the organisations will also carry out research and hence this function has a role in setting standards for quality research, a coordinating role in ensuring a cross-organisational understanding of ongoing research to avoid duplication, and to draw insights and disseminate these to relevant internal and external audiences.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the head of team by developing a strategic insight research plan.
- Lead the delivery of the insight research plan, including developing clear research briefs, working with external suppliers to deliver research and where appropriate deliver research in-house.
- Establish a user insight capability in line with good practice and mature this capability over time.
- In collaboration with key internal customers, establish a framework for when and how to engage with disabled people regarding decisions.
- Develop and set standards for good quality research and insight for the organisation, including ensuring disabled people can fully and equitably participate in research/user insight exercises.
- Ensure that planned research and insight generation by the insight function is completed to a high standard, aligned with good practice.
- Set up and lead a cross-organisational research forum and ensure this mechanism is effective in avoiding duplication and creating alignment.
- Lead development and implementation of a communications plan to ensure insight generated reaches the right internal and external audiences.
- Ensure a framework to monitor and evaluate the usefulness and impact of insight generated is in place.

Must haves:
- Experience of delivering user insight and/or running customer/consumer panels and/or working with supporter panels.

- Exceptional written and oral influencing skills, including the judicious use of data and the compelling presentation of insights, through engaging reports, infographics, and dashboards.

- Experience of disability inclusive research – this is essential to the role. However, we will ensure appropriate training for those who do not have these skills.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools (e.g., MAXQDA, R) and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Power BI).

About You
They are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic data insights manager to help us make the most of our existing data across their organisation, alongside developing new innovations to improve understanding of our supporters, their contribution to nature’s recovery and the values that the public place on nature.
They are looking for a skilled data specialist to help us to draw together and take forward their data insights work across their organisation. Working directly to the Director for Climate Change and Evidence, the postholder will lead on and manage our existing large-scale data insights projects, including the Great Big Nature Survey (the largest UK-wide survey of nature values); oversee their analysis of internal data collected across the organisation; and undertake data analysis of their external impact, from brand awareness to their major public engagement programmes such as 30 Days’ Wild. In addition, the postholder will lead a new programme of work on how to better understand their impact, and support the coordination of data activities across relevant teams.

Events and Community Manager

The Events and Community Manager for our Mass Fundraising Team will focus and lead on:
1. New product development and innovation
2. Creating marketing plans to inspire and motive supporters to engage with RNID
3. Ensuring all RNID events and community supporters are receiving exceptional stewardship
You will be responsible for managing the events and community portfolio at RNID, constantly reviewing and optimising products whilst thinking of new ways to attract supporters to our cause.
You will:
1. Work with the Head of Mass Fundraising to develop and deliver the events and community fundraising strategy, and to budget and report on income and expenditure
2. Lead on the delivery of our third-party challenge events
3. Lead on new product development for events and community products
4. To proactively engage, source, secure and manage community fundraising relationships with local groups, clubs, organisations, school and individuals
5. To work with colleagues across RNID to maximise fundraising opportunities in the community
You will be an experienced events and community fundraiser with the ability to motivate and inspire supporters to fundraise for RNID. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating all events and community products.
You will have a natural ability to build excellent relationships especially with supporters, colleagues and suppliers. You’ll be a strong team player who is comfortable leading projects, ensuring clear and regular communication with project team members.
You will be responsible for managing the events and community income budget of £250k, which has ambitious plans for the next five years. You will put forward business cases to test and trial new products to add to our portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Marcomms team on marketing plans and with the Mass Fundraising Officer to implement multi-channel stewardship plans for our events and community supporters.
