Trade and Business Strategy Graduate Scheme

Do you have a passion for agriculture? Are you interested in economics, trade or the commercial environment in which farmers operate? Would you like the opportunity to really make a difference to our clients members? If yes, then the our client’s Trade and Business Strategy Graduate Scheme is for you.

Our client is a UK trade association representing farmers and growers across England and Wales. They are regarded as one of the most effective lobbying organisations in Europe, negotiating with governments and pressure groups at a local, national, European and international level.

The Trade and Business Strategy Graduate Scheme offered by our client is a fantastic opportunity to build on your existing knowledge, work with and learn from industry specialists and join an organisation with over one hundred years’ experience of farming and rural issues.

They will develop your knowledge of our client, the agriculture and horticulture industries, and the issues facing their members, by offering you a comprehensive and purpose built programme.

You will have or predicted to have a 2:1 degree or above and have excellent team working, problem solving, communication and project management skills. The desire to represent and help their members and to progress within our client is an essential requirement. A degree in economics, business or trade, and a knowledge of the agricultural industry or a background in farming would be a distinct advantage.

You will be required to work in various locations throughout the UK and therefore a flexible approach to location is essential. Successful candidates will need their own dependable transport, as public transport is not frequently available to the beautiful Headquarters based in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

Contract Type: 2-year fixed term contract commencing September 2022
Hours: Full Time, 35 per week
Salary: £24,500 per annum + Graduate entry scheme payment of £1,000
