Development Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities.
The postholder will manage the full funder journey, from initial engagement to long-term stewardship, ensuring all relationships are grown and managed professionally and effectively. They will work closely with relevant departments to coordinate proposals, reports, and communications, helping maintain strong connections with funders.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
- Research and identify new potential supporters, primarily from the Trusts & Foundations sector, with some engagement of aligned individuals or family-foundation prospects in conjunction with the wider Development Team.
 
- Support the Development Director in delivering targeted cultivation and engagement strategies to grow new income streams.
 
- Build and maintain a healthy, dynamic pipeline of qualified new business opportunities.
 
- Monitor sector trends to identify emerging supporters and new partnership opportunities
 
Approaches and Proposal Development
- Prepare tailored, persuasive funding proposals, applications, and cases for support, drawing on internal expertise and materials.

Job Purpose
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Communications and Engagement Officer who can effectively convey the life-changing impact of our work, motivate our community to volunteer, donate and fundraise to support our work, and ensure that the information and educational resources we provide reach those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities
Communications:
· Act as the first point of contact for IPWSO’s public email address and social media channels and ensure timely and appropriate replies.
· Manage IPWSO’s social media channels, creating original and engaging content and posts, and actively engaging with our audiences.
· Manage Google Ad Grant campaigns with an emphasis on growing our supporter base and increasing individual giving.
· Keep up to date with emerging trends in digital communications and social media and recommend potential new channels for fundraising and audience engagement.
· Support the development of videos for IPWSO, in cooperation with IPWSO’s Project Manager and other colleagues. The type of work to be undertaken includes providing support for content development, speaker recruitment, filming and editing, as well as helping source external agencies as needed.
· Maintain and develop the IPWSO website ensuring its security and that it functions both as an effective supporter acquisition tool and a means by which people can easily access information about PWS.
· Produce compelling newsletters and an Annual Report.
· Support the review and update of IPWSO’s Communications Strategy in line with its Strategic Plan.
· Uphold and showcase the IPWSO mission and brand.
· Help oversee the production and design of a range of educational resources for families and professionals.
· Oversee copywriting and proofreading within IPWSO.
· Support IPWSO’s members and liaise with its stakeholders internationally in support of our shared goals.
Engagement:
· Provide support for online events programmes, in cooperation with IPWSO’s Project Manager and the Online Events Committee. The type of support to be provided includes hosting Zoom sessions, supporting speakers, follow up administration including evaluations.
· Support IPWSO’s Famcare Board by facilitating their online meetings and assisting with their online events.
· Work with the Project and Operations Manager to provide membership support, liaising with IPWSO’s member organisations as needed.
· Proactively engage with member associations to promote IPWSO and also to understand their needs and how IPWSO can be of help.
· Work with the Project and Operations Manager on our Educational Outreach programmes. Work will include liaising with event organisers with regards to IPWSO’s booths at different conferences, ensuring follow up as needed (including help with preparation of PowerPoint slides), engagement follow up including data entry to update our database (Donorfy).

Governance Manager (12-months maternity cover)
About the role
This is an exciting time to join Emmaus UK and provide maternity cover for our Governance Manager.
This standalone role is responsible for managing the operations of the board and committees of Emmaus UK, as well as for providing support to local boards at Emmaus communities across Great Britain as they look to develop their governance arrangements.
The postholder will manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, induction and compliance, ensuring meetings run smoothly and are minuted effectively. They will also work as company secretary, managing the smooth-running of the AGM, and ensuring returns are made to Companies House and the Charity Commission within appropriate timeframes.
The Governance Manager is responsible for monitoring the development of policies, tracking completion and working with managers to continuously improve policies in line with changing regulation.
The role will also involve extensive work with members of the Emmaus movement, through the performance of reviews of local governance of members, reporting back to local boards on areas to celebrate and actions to develop. They will also be responsible for developing Emmaus UK’s best practice toolkit for trustees to refer to in developing their local governance arrangements, and for liaising with the wider Emmaus movement through facilitation of the membership processes with Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International.

Emmaus UK Governance
- Manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, delivering a comprehensive and appropriate induction, dealing with enquiries, maintaining declarations of interest, skills audit and eligibility forms and ensuring all details are up to date and accurate.
 - Act as company secretary for Emmaus UK, leading on the preparation for and delivery of the Annual General Meeting, filing required returns, developing documents associated with membership, and ensuring the charity is compliant with relevant charity and company law.
 
Board and Committee Meetings
- Coordinate board meetings including organising venues, liaison with the relevant secretary and chairs in creating agendas, preparing and distributing papers and taking and circulating accurate minutes

Federation Governance
- Lead on reviews of members’ local governance arrangements, scheduling, undertaking analysis, reviewing documentation, collating responses from members and observations from Emmaus UK Senior Leadership Team members, and reporting to local boards on findings and Emmaus UK’s Audit & Risk Committee on emerging themes.
 - Provide guidance for federation members on governance development through ad hoc advice, the production of governance toolkits and supporting resources.
 - Facilitate the membership processes and requirements for Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International, supporting transitioning members and contributing to movement-wide events such as the World and Regional Assemblies, international visits and exchange programmes.

The LTA Tennis Foundation, the LTA's official charity, is in the exciting, early stages of their fundraising journey and we are looking to recruit our first Philanthropy Manager, to support the Fundraising Lead in delivering our plan, taking a particular lead on managing our relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs).
We are fortunate to have an impressive, and growing, portfolio of prospective major donors and this role will be responsible for further prospecting, the cultivation of gifts, and stewarding of HNWIs – ensuring we build high impact relationships that help us to achieve our ambitious financial targets. While major donors will be your focus, as a small team, you will also play an important role in supporting the Fundraising Lead with a significant programme of wider activity within our fundraising plan.
We are looking for a highly motivated and results driven fundraiser, with demonstrable experience in securing major gifts from individuals, exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for the power that sport can play in improving lives.
Although the Philanthropy Manager will be employed by the LTA, which brings the opportunity to utilise the significant infrastructure and resources of a large organisation, your work will be dedicated to the LTA Tennis Foundation.

The Job (in a nutshell)
Leading the Education partnerships team, responsibility for the development of all Educaiton customers and for maintaining the income generation and young people targets in line with the overall Trust strategy and annual requirements.
Who we’re looking for
A dynamic individual who is capable of balancing the mix of future vision with everyday demands.
This a senior management position which is responsible for the strategic direction and the leadership day to day operation of our extremely busy Education Team. The role requires you to be strategic but pragmatic, balancing the mission and purpose of The Trust with tactical day to day delivery of Sales support and partnership working across the organisation.
You will manage a team of up to ten direct reports, and will also need to build strong relationships across The Trust with fellow Senior Managers and Directors, and most specifically with our Centre Management teams, Fundraising and Marketing Teams. You will need to balance carefully the needs of our internal and external customers, allocating time and resources accordingly. Also, The Trust has a new strategic plan looking at growth of the number of young people we work with, including the recently launched Schools Adventure Programme.
Your experience
We would love you to have a strong background in Sales with proven effective results but also having commercial acumen and experience, with the ability to think and act strategically. You will have a minimum of three years experience of leading, managing and inspiring teams. A supportive approach to the development and coaching of the team is an essential element within this.
The ability to work confidently and flexibly across all Trust departments, supporting where required.
A solid knowledge of the Education Sector for both Scotland and England as well as proven relationship building skills, and enjoyment of working collaboratively across departments and at all levels through effective communication.
Working for the Trust requires a Flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to workload, able to multitask and re-prioritise projects at short notice.
Areas of repsponsibility
- Leadership and management of the Education Team, providing direction, challenge, support and development as appropriate. This will also involve coaching and supporting the team in their professional development, as well as in the management and execution of sales targets.
 - Development and ownership of The Education Team’s annual revenue target, specifically looking at Charitable funding levels, volumes and occupancy levels across all centres.
 - Ownership of and responsibility for all aspects of the Education sector, ensuring that all aspects of marketing, sales, customer service, delivery and finance are reviewed and implemented to a high standard with the overall objective of informing greater impact for the clients
 - Working collaboratively with Early Careers Business Development and Summer Adventures to share ownership of the current capacity levels. Ensuring optimum fill and a responsible client mix.
 - Building strong relationships internally and externally. Developing and supporting the Education Team with new initiatives and lead generation ideas.
 - Supporting the centre operational teams to have clarity of the sector and a deeper awareness of the Education teams role and focus.
 - Ownership of the Education cost centre budget, including the development of return on investment data wherever possible.
 - Optimising the use of all internal CRM systems and associated reporting for management purposes.
 - Contributing to the work of the wider senior leadership team as required, including attending and contributing to senior team discussions, acting as an ambassador for The Trust at events and conferences, supporting colleagues in other areas of The Trust’s work.
 
Location: Home-based with average 1 day per week in head office / centre location. The role will include considerable travel.

For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.
The Role
This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.
You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.
You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.
Main areas of responsibility
Partnership Management
- Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
 - Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
 - Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
 - Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
 - Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
 - Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management
 
Project and Initiative Management
- Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.
 - Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics, Operations and Network Development teams with the aim of optimising food out to our network
 - Develop and lead FareShare cross-departmental strategic activity to enable us to derive maximum value from key food partners including liaising with fundraising, marketing and volunteering teams

- Demonstrable experience managing multiple accounts in the FMCG, food, retail or comparable sector with professionalism and integrity consistently meeting or exceeding challenging targets

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Health Community Engagement Manager to lead an ambitious new programme of community engagement across Birmingham and Solihull. Working in partnership with NHS Birmingham & Solihull Integrated Care Board and NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board , BVSC, Warwickshire & Solihull Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA) and the Birmingham and Solihull VCFSE Leadership Alliance, this is a rare opportunity to help shape how communities influence decisions about health and care at a system-wide level.
You will play a central role in ensuring that the voices of local people, especially those most affected by health inequalities, are heard and acted upon.
As the Health Community Engagement Manager, you will lead the delivery of a wide-ranging engagement programme that connects health priorities with community insight and experience.
You will oversee ICB Community Panels, coordinate a small-grants scheme to fund VCFSE-led engagement, and support local organisations to evaluate and share their learning. You will work closely with BVSC Research, the NHS Communications and Engagement teams, and a wide range of local authority and community partners to ensure that engagement activity is coherent, inclusive and impactful.
This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will design and manage processes that make it easier for smaller, community-led and faith-based organisations to get involved in shaping health services. You will ensure that the themes emerging from community discussions are reported clearly and used to inform system strategy and policy. You will also play an active role in strengthening networks such as the Birch Network and the CHERP platform, supporting the sharing of good practice in engagement, research and policy development.
To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience of community engagement within health or related fields, together with a deep understanding of the VCFSE sector in Birmingham and Solihull. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of working confidently with senior leaders as well as with grassroots community groups.
You will be comfortable leading projects, managing budgets and supporting others, while remaining flexible and solution-focused in a fast-moving environment. Above all, you will be motivated by a commitment to equity, inclusion and meaningful community engagement and involvement.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join ATLEU, a leading anti-trafficking and human rights charity. We are looking for an inclusive, creative, talented facilitator, with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to be our Participation Manager.
The Participation Manager will facilitate survivors of trafficking to use their experiences to support the development of ATLEU’s work and services and to improve policy and practice across the anti-trafficking and legal advice sectors. Working with group members, this individual will be responsible for supporting the expansion of the group (The Changemakers) and the remit of ATLEU’s participation work from January 2026 when the current projects come to a close, ensuring new members are inducted and supported to engage and lead in future projects. The overall aim of the participation and activism work is to integrate survivors at all levels within ATLEU, as well as creating a project that offers different levels of engagement, depending on the interests and capacity of individual group members.
The Participation Manager is a key member of the Rise and Lead project team, which is a groundbreaking new employment pathways project in partnership with Southeast and East Asian Centre (SEEAC) and Voice of Domestic Workers for those with experience of human trafficking and migration.
The successful candidate will have direct experience of working with vulnerable individuals, ideally survivors of trafficking, a strong understanding of the challenges survivors face and be committed to shifting power to people with lived experience. Although just a small team, ATLEU’s work has led to significant changes in law and policy. Since we were established in 2013, we have led the way in ensuring that survivors of trafficking have access to free, independent legal advice by enabling access to legal aid, across the range of issues survivors experience. For example, our litigation against the Legal Aid Agency led to their concession that legal aid provision was insufficient for victims of trafficking and an increase in the number of trafficking compensation cases that legal aid providers were contractually able to assist with each year (from 5 up to 100). Following litigation on behalf of our client LL, the Legal Aid Agency agreed that victims of trafficking were legally entitled to free immigration advice on applying for leave to remain in the UK on the basis of their trafficking experiences and publicised this entitlement.

Salary Band: £31,374 – £37,772 pro rata per year. Starting salary will depend on the level of candidate’s experience
Pension: 7% pension contribution
Leave: 33 days a year (including bank holidays), with an increase of 1 day per year for each complete year of service, capped at 30 days plus bank holidays per year (38 days).

Main Responsibilities
Strategy development
1. Using the framework of ATLEU’s 5-year strategic plan, develop ATLEU’s participation strategy creating an annual plan to deliver on our organisational vision.
2. Develop and maintain positive relationships across ATLEU’s team staying up to date with different areas of organisational work in order to create opportunities for collaboration and coproduction with the Changemakers, finding flexible and creative ways to integrate new opportunities into the annual plan.
Developing ATLEU’s Changemakers group
3. Recruit and induct people with lived experience of trafficking to be active participants in the Changemakers.
4. To facilitate meetings of the Changemakers ensuring activities are accessible and inclusive for all participants.
5. To secure opportunities for skills and knowledge development through internal and external training.
6. Conduct needs assessments to identify safeguarding, support needs and development goals and provide practical and emotional support where required.
7. Nurturing the wellbeing and solidarity of the group, providing individual pastoral support, coordinating reflective practice sessions and group activities.
8. Review, adapt, and agree terms of reference and foundational values with the group.
9. To manage the annual lived experience budget.
 
Building the power of survivors within ATLEU
10. To be an effective liaison between the group and the Director, trustees and wider staff team.
11. Understanding how ATLEU works as an organisation and its key activities and facilitating regular communication between Changemakers and ATLEU’s people.
12. Create opportunities for collaboration, co-creation and leadership for ATLEU’s Changemakers members.
13. Identifying potential opportunities for Changemakers to take on paid roles within the organisation, defining the scope of the role, recruitment/ selection of individuals for the roles, and supporting individuals to gain experience of working independently (eg. peer research training development, training delivery).
14. To take a creative and flexible approach to working with the group, to understand their priorities and goals and find ways to steer and adapt their ideas so that they can be delivered within an organisational context.
15. Work with ATLEU’s Director, Head of Operations and People and Inclusion Manager to create pathways for people with lived experience of trafficking to participate in ATLEU’s governance and decision-making, including at trustee board level and development of funding proposals.
16. Support the delivery of ATLEU’s Rise and Lead Fellowship project helping to create an employment pathway for people with lived experience of human trafficking and migration in the advice and anti-trafficking sector.
17. Support the Rise and Lead Project Manager with the development of a bespoke inclusive recruitment programme and the delivery of the training fellowship, and the project monitoring and evaluation and dissemination of learning.
Coproduction with the Changemakers
18. Working with ATLEU’s Changemakers to act as agents of change, to influence external stakeholders (e.g. anti-trafficking organisations, policy makers, parliamentarians, media) and share their expertise, whilst ensuring the necessary safeguarding is in place.

This role is essential in our drive for evidencing the impact of the work we do.
