As our IT Helpdesk Officer, based in Kings Cross, you will be at the heart of ensuring every colleague has the tools, systems, and support they need to deliver life-changing work. About you:

• Experience in Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support over a number of channels including face to face, phone, email, text, chat and video.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic (Senior) Research Officer. This exciting role involves undertaking research on gambling related financial harms and engaging with stakeholders in financial services firms to practically apply our research to their work. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent critical thinking, research and policy development skills, with the ability to digest complex information quickly and appraise firms work against regulatory requirements, best practice examples and policy recommendations.

The successful candidate will primarily work as part of the Gambling Harms Action Lab team where we’re bringing together seven representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling related financial harms. The (Senior) Research Officer will be an integral part of the team working to tackle gambling related financial harms through delivering timely and insightful research and consultancy support.

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon 

To provide a high standard of executive and personal assistance to the CEO. • Complex diary management for the CEO, liaising with multiple stakeholders for timeslots and rescheduling appointments.

• Monitoring CEO inbox to flag urgent emails and highlight unanswered emails.

Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it. 

With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded, and we all get the support we need.

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Social media 

• Manage day-to-day social media posting across current channels (LinkedIn, X, Bluesky), posting content that aligns with our tone of voice and brand guidelines  

• Monitor social media and traditional media for mentions of Degrees and the wider topic of SRM, identifying trends and opportunities 

• Evaluate social media performance and recommend potential new strategies and platforms, driven by data as well as awareness of Degrees’ position

Content creation 

• Edit short videos of our researchers for social media and the website 

• Design graphics for social media, reports, presentations and events, using tools such as Canva or InDesign 

• Write news, profiles, and announcements for the website 

Website 

• Act as primary website administrator, keeping the website up to date by editing and adding new pages as required 

• Maintain content consistency across the website, especially as we redevelop our site and move to a new platform (WordPress, with Gutenberg editor) 

• Assist with website content migration using a good understanding of website database management systems (e.g. Jet Engine, ACF)

Team support

What the job involves
We’re looking for a brilliant and proactive Senior Copywriting Officer to lead the creation of compelling written content that engages our audiences, strengthens our brand voice, and helps raise vital funds to support men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.

As our in-house copywriting expert, you’ll help shape messaging and creative direction for products and campaigns and play a key role in shaping our tone of voice across all communication. You’ll review and edit content, support colleagues to build their confidence and capability, and ensure everything we publish is clear, consistent and impactful.

You’ll take the lead on developing content and writing for key long-form products – including our supporter magazine, impact report and direct marketing appeals – transforming briefs into emotionally resonant, insight-led copy that drives supporter action across both print and digital channels.

As we are a small team, we need to be flexible and support each other, which adds variety to the role. One day you might be creating content for our social media channels, and the next you might be welcoming a Minister to the office.

The Role

This is a key role supporting the NFF team to amplify the experience of flooded people and the work of the National Flood Forum. We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Communications & Campaigns Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will develop and deliver national campaigns, ensure our messages reach the right audiences and manage activity across multiple platforms. The vision and creativity to tell powerful stories about flooding and its devastating impact on individuals, communities and economies is essential, as is the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders with tact, sensitivity and authority.

Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Storytelling

· Translating community activity and project work into compelling stories and campaigns that amplify the voices of those affected by flooding.

· Contributing creative ideas to increase awareness of an organisation’s work and impact.

· Tailoring messaging to diverse audiences including policymakers, partners, media, and communities.

Campaigns & Public Engagement

· Developing and delivering successful multi-channel communications campaigns Evaluating campaign and communications effectiveness and reach

· Organising, planning and supporting online and in person events.

Content Creation & Digital Media

· Creating engaging digital and written content, including newsletters, blogs, website content, case studies, and social media posts.

· Supporting the development of the NFF’s website

· Driving integrated campaign work aligning digital, press, and stakeholder communications.

· Identifying and exploiting external opportunities to promote the NFF and its important work.

· Creating a bank of case studies to highlight the issues flooded people face.

Media & External Relations

· Cultivating productive relationships with the media and creating compelling media materials including press releases and case studies

· Building strong relationships with community flood groups to support them to share their stories in the media.

· Monitoring media coverage and leveraging media opportunities aligned with NFF’s mission.

Internal Communications & Capacity Building

· Production of our internal communications and supporting staff with templates, messaging guidance, and digital tools.

· Production and distribution of our internal newsletter, gathering updates and impact stories from teams and regional staff.

· Supporting staff and volunteers with communications training and briefings to build confidence and skills.

Knowledge Management & Brand Consistency

· Keeping internal communication and campaign assets up to date.

· Using insights from staff and communities to improve communication tools and templates.

· Working to ensure consistent branding and accessibility across all channels.

Reporting into the Media Manager, the Press Officer will raise awareness of the organisation and increase national media coverage. You will proactively promote their work and respond to media enquiries to enhance the standing and influence of the organisation nationally, regionally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

· To draw up proactive communications plans around priorities, incorporating print, broadcast, online and social media.

· Producing articles, statements and press releases to significantly raise the RCGP’s profile in the mainstream national media, in line with the policy and campaign priorities and strategic plan.

· To respond quickly and sensitively to negative or critical news stories, limiting potential damage to the reputation of the College.

· To write and edit material for internal and external audiences, including the College’s membership magazine, GP Frontline.

· To provide strategic advice and briefings to the Chair, Officers, and Chief Executive, identifying and promoting key College policies, highlighting risks and ensuring consistent messages.

· To work with the Web Content Editor and Social Media team to ensure that web and social media activities are joined up.

· To provide a 24/7 out of hours media rota, including weekends and public holidays, with other colleagues in the team.

· To take a lead role in monitoring and evaluating media coverage, producing weekly updates and monthly reports.

Person Specification:

· Previous experience in journalism, press office or a media environment. Ideally in a national membership organization, charity or in a health-based environment.

· Proven experience of proactive public relations campaigns and crisis management.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (articles, speeches, reports and other material aimed at a wide range of target audiences)

· Ability to work authoritatively, knowledgeably and confidently with journalists and senior College spokespeople and College members.

· Excellent news sense and ability to identify pro-active stories.

· Demonstrable experience of crisis management.

· Resilience and ability to use own initiative, manage competing demands, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

· Creativity and ability to manage projects from ideas stage to implementation.

Salary: circa £35,000 per annum

Location: Glasgow
