Information Officer

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is looking for an Information Officer to join our busy and supportive team at an exciting time of rapid change in cystic fibrosis and the information landscape. Changes in clinical care, treatments and the experiences and needs of people with CF have prompted a dramatic increase in the breadth and volume of information we need to create. At the same time, AI, disinformation and misinformation mean accurate, trusted information is more important than ever.

To navigate the changing landscape of CF and health information, you’ll need editorial expertise and a commitment to engaging with and empowering the cystic fibrosis community through the development of high quality, engaging, accessible information in print and digital formats.

You will develop and maintain our extensive offer of health and other information, including our library of factsheets, special topic information packs, web content and videos aimed at people affected by cystic fibrosis and clinical teams. You will make sure that our resources meet the needs of our target audiences through sensitive and meaningful involvement with people with CF and healthcare professionals.

You will have experience of producing high quality, comprehensive information for people with health conditions from concept through to publication and a knack for making complex health information easy to understand. An understanding of and commitment to the criteria of the Patient Information Forum quality kitemark (the PIF TICK) is integral to the role.

This position will involve working on multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, being proactive in your approach and creating reactive information to address emerging issues. Strong organisational and time-management skills are therefore needed, as is the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with colleagues in the team and wider organisation, and a range of external stakeholders.

Programme Manager – Nature Based Neighbourhoods (NBN)

About the Role 

We are seeking a strategic and community-focused programme manager to lead the delivery of the Nature Based Neighbourhoods (NBN) grant programme – a five-year partnership between Lund Trust and the Wates Family Enterprise Trust (WFET). 

The NBN programme supports urban communities to create greener, more connected neighbourhoods. It provides core funding, peer networking, and long-term planning support to community organisations working to improve access to nature. 

You will oversee all aspects of programme delivery, including grant management, stakeholder engagement, impact reporting, and communications. This is a unique opportunity to shape a long-term initiative that builds community power and drives nature-based change. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead programme planning, delivery and annual review cycles, ensuring it is delivered on time and to budget in a way that works towards its overall vision and aims.  

• Manage relationships with funded community partners ensuring they are well supported to deliver against their grant ambitions. 

• Foster cross-sector relationships in community

• Oversee grant administration and budget management 

• Work with the programme’s learning and impact partners to facilitate peer learning, evaluation and storytelling to share impact 

• Convene programme boards, partner meetings, providing key stakeholders with timely updates 

• Collaborate with internal teams to amplify programme visibility and creatively share learnings, supporting local and national movement building.

Connection to nature can have powerful social, health, economic and environmental benefits. These benefits are not shared equally. Our most deprived communities also have the least access to nature where they live. Communities are working to tackle this problem, but their efforts are often stifled by a lack of investment.  

The NBN programme aims to strengthen community organisations, providing the financial and non-financial resources they need to create greener neighbourhoods and communities more connected to nature. 

This work will take place in a small number of places and explore how sustained commitment, engagement and investment can transform outcomes for a place, people and nature.  

Specifically, this funding partnerships will:  

• Provide direct support in the form of core funding to selected urban community organisations that share our aims.   

• Provide communities with the means to connect with the great work already happening around the county and develop peer network.  

• Enable communities to co-develop equitable long-term plans to increase nature connection locally.

The Position

As part of a small team, the Events Assistant will support the Venue Hire team with general administrative tasks, sales, planning and delivery of events and exhibitions for external venue hire clients as well as support Society colleagues with internal event planning.

The Society offers the hire of the Ondaatje Theatre and associated rooms to individuals and commercial, educational, and not-for-profit organisations for small-scale meetings, seminars, evening lectures, large daytime conferences, receptions and weddings. The net income from this business provides essential support for the Society’s charitable activities.

The post holder will primarily be expected to provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the Venue Hire team. This includes communication in writing, on the phone, by email and in person with clients; setting up Collections showcase displays; filing; database input (room booking system); displays; customer invoicing; and other administrative support to enable a smooth and efficient office.

They will also help to sell, organise and facilitate aspects of a small number of events, including liaison with associated contractors, and act as a point of contact for clients in the lead up to, and on the day of, an event.

The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) is the learned society and professional body for geography and geographers. Working as a partner between finance and IT, the Systems Accountant will join Parkinson’s UK at a pivotal time of investment in their finance systems and processes. You will play a key part in supporting and managing finance system upgrades, implementations, and developments, liaising across key stakeholder groups to ensure that the finance systems are optimised to meet business needs, enhance financial reporting and drive efficiency across the business.

What you’ll do:

• Support the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of financial systems.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure smooth system integration and data accuracy.
• Assist in configuring and testing new financial systems or system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot system issues, liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Develop reports and dashboards to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.

The SHE team are a multi tasking team that undertake most Health and Safety tasks in-house, working closely with most other teams within Cats Protection. The team is made up of a manager and 4 regional officers who cover the whole of the UK, The team deal with the Cats Protection retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE,  branch volunteer enquiries and more. 

What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer:

- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and membership of a relevant professional body

- Significant experience (3+ years post qualification) in a similar health & safety role, ideally in public sector, facilities, or charity setting

- Experience working across multiple sites

- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices

- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels

- Able to work independently, manage workload, and perform under pressure

- Organised, pragmatic, and professional with a flexible, positive attitude

You’ll join the Research Management and Impact team, part of Marie Curie’s Research and Policy Directorate. As the UK’s largest charitable funder of palliative and end-of-life care research, we manage a diverse portfolio of grants, centres, and commissioned projects. Our team also leads on measuring, communicating, and maximising the impact of funded research – ensuring it drives real-world change in care and policy.

As Research Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of research grants from application through to delivery, supporting researchers and ensuring effective management of funding. You will also play a vital role in tracking and demonstrating the impact of Marie Curie’s research, helping to evidence the difference it makes for patients, carers, and services. Your expertise will directly contribute to building a stronger evidence base and closing gaps in palliative and end-of-life care.

Your Impact:

• Manage pre- and post-award research funding processes, including applications, reviews, contracts, and reporting.
• Act as the main point of contact for funded researchers, linking them with Marie Curie colleagues across policy and services.
• Overseeing financial management of research grants, audits, and reporting.
• Lead on the annual Researchfish impact data collection and monitor policy impact using tools such as Overton.

Responsibilities

• As a key member of the team, contribute to achieving Cyfannol Women’s Aid’s vision, mission and ambition.
• To demonstrate and positively promote the organisation’s values, culture, and qualities
• Collaborate with the support services coordinator and the refuge team to plan and deliver high quality, specialised, trauma informed, person-led support services.
• Line management of refuge team members (Support Worker, Support Work Assistants, Out Of Hours and Relief Workers) in line with policy in an inclusive, engaging and empowering way. (including supporting recruitment, completing induction, supervision, training and development) supporting and coaching.
• Case hold, providing direct support to adults and children staying in Blaenau Gwent Refuge Services.
• Oversee all rotas for refuge staff and on-call for Blaenau Gwent and make sure the refuges are adequately staffed at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the support services coordinator to ensure refuge referral paths are easily accessible are clear and concise, and to continue to promote a whole team approach.
