At Ambitious about Autism, we’re currently looking for a Research Manager to join our External Affairs team.

You’ll conduct and commission research projects, publish and disseminate research findings to ensure we are maximising our reach and impact, and ensure that we are using relevant and up-to-date evidence throughout our work.

You’ll identify key research needs and questions to continually improve our activities and impact for autistic children and young people, drafting briefs and managing independent researchers to deliver projects on time and to budget.

You’ll use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to develop and support co-produced research with autistic children and young people, as well as parents and carers, whilst ensuring that new evidence is embedded into our resources, working collaboratively with the policy, communications, fundraising and service delivery teams to ensure that we maximise the impact of our findings.

The successful candidate will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and this role will play a central role in providing an evidence base for us to influencing Government, as well as enable us to engage media and public attention to our calls for change. It will also look for ways to unlock insight and learning, so we can influence the practice of the wider education sector.

• Strong working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Proven experience of managing research projects or programmes within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to critique and summaries data and research findings to make recommendations.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research evidence into forms that are accessible for a range of audiences.
• Ability to effectively prioritise a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

About the Role

As Senior Stewardship and Events Manager, you will be leading on the creation of ambitious funding propositions which will be attractive to high value donors and funders, working with key stakeholders from across the organisation to fully understand our existing services and transformational projects; translating complex information into compelling cases for support to be used by our High Value Partnerships team in funding applications, pitches and proposals. You will work closely with Recovery Services, Data and Insights and Finance teams to ensure all relevant information is gathered and reporting and evaluation processes are in place.

Working with your team and the wider High Value Partnerships team you will develop a special events programme to support engagement and fundraising, as well as leading on the development of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. You will work alongside the High Value Events Officer and other High Value Partnerships Senior Managers to conceptualise, plan and deliver a range of event types, offering a variety of activities to engage and inspire high value supporters, and ensure they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Help for Heroes.

An opportunity has arisen for a lead Support worker to work within our Sanctuary crisis intervention and prevention service, based in Fore Street in Enfield. We act as a short-term A&E and Emergency services alternative, providing support to individuals in the Enfield Borough aged 18+. 

This role is to provide leadership and support to the Sanctuary team on shift. The role will:

• Lead shifts during the week, providing support to team members via case management support, escalation, Health and Safety guidance
• Support the Sanctuary Manager to embed processes within the service, and ensure that these are carried out
• Work alongside the Manager and team to ensure that the service is operating to high quality standard.
• Provide support in times of emotional distress for clients. The support worker will provide a calm, supportive presence.

 The role will support clients through co-producing support plans with practical and therapeutic support offerings, as well as contributing to the development of a warm welcoming environment and ‘safe space’ to be.

This position would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues.

The Sanctuary Service runs Monday - Friday, 5pm-10pm and at weekdays, 12-5pm. We would require the successful applicant to be able to work 4 shifts (21 hours per week) covering these days/times.

We are looking for a Product and Portfolio Manager within our Porfolio Development Team. You will have demonstrable experience in product/portfolio lifecycle management as well as a proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy. You will need significant experience of meeting new business targets and driving business growth, as well as the development of a new business pipeline.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues to introduce new products and services that will support our growth and charitable impact. The role will include responsibility for meeting a new business target, through lead generation. This is an important and dynamic role that will require strategic thinking and a strongly collaborative approach.

In this role, you will:

• Manage the existing product portfolio, reviewing the existing offering in relation to market trends, client needs, the competitive landscape and the Charity's strategic goals
• Develop detailed product knowledge across the portfolio of products, leading development activity for each area alongside ongoing assessment of financial performance and product/service viability.
• Recommend and oversee product improvements, using market demand and customer and colleague feedback to identify and prioritise change.
• Working with the Chief Operating Officer and service leads to understand trends and opportunities across the portfolio and associated markets.
• Engage with expert colleagues from across the organisation to understand and support the development of their product ideas, evaluating these against internal and external factors including feasibility, expected value, and market demand.
• Financial and strategic modelling of new product options based on market demand, fit to Picker strategy, impact/income potential, strength of offering and ability to reach target audience.
• Work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, Head of Service Delivery, service leads, and the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop marketing plans to support demand generation on a thematic basis, providing expert product knowledge, customer insight and new business leads.

About You

You will have:

• Demonstrable experiences in product/portfolio lifecycle management.
• Demonstrable experience of managing project timetables, including reviewing progress and amending plans to address changing requirements 
• Proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy that supports brand integrity/growth, whilst growing individual business lines/products/services
• Significant experience of meeting product/service business targets. Including driving business growth with new services and/or in new markets     
• Experience of success in the development and qualification of a new business pipeline (including campaign management and follow-up)
• Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects through to successful completion

About the Role: This is an interesting and varied role. As the post holder you'll be not only be setting up, administering and delivering schemes and activities to benefit Barnet’s looked after young people, you'll also be creating marketing materials and supporting fundraising events.  Promoting the work of our charity is key too through updating our website, writing our quarterly newsletter and social media channels, as well as supporting the running and administration of the charity.

Key Purpose:

Engage with staff and volunteers at a local and national level across RABI as well as with key external stakeholders and partners to influence compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures. Support the Senior Service Delivery Manager to implement RABI’s reporting through maintenance of effective internal recording and reporting systems (CPOMS). Promote a high level of safeguarding awareness and related training throughout the organisation guided by priorities highlighted in the safeguarding action plan. Provide a high level of safeguarding support to all staff and volunteers and embed a strong culture of safeguarding across RABI. Act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the Senior Service Delivery Manager.

Essential

· Experience of working as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

· Relevant up to date training in the specialist area of Safeguarding
