The Assistant will play a key role in ISEAL´s team, providing assistance to two managers to ensure efficient administration of their respective work areas - membership and operations. The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Operations Support
- Guide and assist ISEAL staff in using software tools effectively by leading inductions, writing guidance, sharing best practice, providing training and trouble-shooting issues that arise
- Manage IT equipment and liaise with external IT support
- Facilitate internal communications by supporting regular and ad hoc staff meetings
- Work closely with Senior Manager Operations on improvement projects, including leading smaller projects
- Assist in promoting best practice in use of IT, communications and knowledge management systems across the organisation and suggest and help implement improvements
- Support management of ISEAL’s office space in London, including liaising with landlord and ensuring office works well for staff
- Lead on procurement of items needed for smooth running of office, for staff leading events and equipment for staff home offices
- Participate actively in team and organisational planning and activities
- Participate in internal staff management processes such as performance reviews, supervisory meetings, etc.
Member communications
- Gather and prepare content for member mailings, including our monthly member-only newsletter, the ISEAL Insider
- Maintain the internal Mailchimp schedule, liaising with staff in the Communications team to plan and schedule mailings effectively
- Support other ISEAL teams to communicate appropriately with members through our different channels and mailing lists, checking for adherence to brand guidelines
- Support the Membership Coordinator and Membership Manager with drafting blogs, news items, and group posts to share updates with members via the ISEAL Platform
- With the Membership Coordinator, regularly review content on the ISEAL Platform to ensure it remains accurate and up to date, liaising with other teams where necessary
Monitoring our membership programme
- Regularly collect data to help monitor our member communications, engagement with member-only events, and use of the ISEAL Platform
- Create and update quarterly reports and dashboards to help identify and communicate key trends and inform improvements
- Support the Membership Manager with the preparation of quarterly and annual engagement reports to send to members
- Deliver administrative processes that underpin member relationship management and track member engagement, including maintenance of member records within Salesforce
Other
- Provide occasional support for member-only Zoom webinars and at in-person events

About the role
Reporting in to the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, the Payroll Manager is a key role within our Finance team responsible for managing all aspects of Christian Aid's Global payroll function ensuring full compliance with relevant national and international legislation regarding salaries, income tax, pensions, national insurance and equivalent schemes (UK and overseas) requiring completeness and accuracy in all aspects to meet organisational needs.
The main areas of responsibility for the post-holder will be:
-Ensure process and systems are in place to facilitate payment for all Christian Aid and contract employees are accurate, on time, in compliance with all local (i.e. both UK and non-UK) legislation on tax and other deductions, and in accordance with Christian Aid employment policies and procedures.

People’s Palace Projects (PPP) is a research-led arts charity based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) of Arts Council England (ACE). We develop collaborative arts-based projects with artists, activists, academics, policy advocates, and audiences to address social and climate injustices in the UK, Brazil and beyond. The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Membership and Training Assistant to join the Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN) team, supporting the delivery of our inclusive, researcher-led network for early career researchers working across the SHAPE disciplines.
The role
The ECRN Membership and Training Assistant will play a key role in providing administrative support for the Early Career Research Network. The role holder will work closely with the ECRN team and will interact with researchers, universities and other stakeholders, as well as academic Fellows and colleagues from across the Academy.
You will support the ECRN Membership Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Network’s membership function. Key responsibilities include monitoring membership workflows, responding to member enquiries in a timely and professional manner, and serving as a primary point of contact for early career researchers interested in joining the Network.
The primary focus of this role will be managing membership and data-related activities, but you will also be providing administrative and logistical support for the Leadership and Advancement Programme and wider Network as required.
You will be confident using Microsoft Office programmes daily, such as Outlook, Excel and Teams and will be supporting with online events through Zoom. You will have to keep membership records up to date on our CRM database, Salesforce and communicate with our members.
The role holder will gain a proficient understanding of our membership policies and procedures and support the management of our online community platform.

Your key responsibilities:

Design tailored campaigns involving emails, phone calls, webinars and social media, to target employers and higher education institutions in a smart and engaging way.

Communicate with interested employers and higher education institutions to explain the work we do at Unifrog and the partnerships we offer in a compelling manner to secure online demonstrations for our Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers.

Be the first port of call for partnership/collaboration enquiries from employers and higher education institutions.

Analyse data from the Unifrog platform to inform your research around suitable higher education institutions and employers that we don’t work with but who would benefit from a partnership with us.

The Donor Engagement Manager is an integral component of IFAW’s global Development team. Create dynamic donor engagement plan

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
- Self-Awareness- understanding how the way we perform our role relates to bereaved families and other charities.
- Agility, Complexity and Ambiguity – Navigating the tension between maximising income and giving due regard to cases where other claimants feel their entitlement should take priority.
- Relationship building- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive correspondence.
- Experience of legacy administration in a charity context or probate legal work.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a large and varied caseload.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and financial processing.
- Ability to interpret wills, estate accounts, and legal documents.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (ILM) or legal/paralegal qualification.
- Proficiency in use of FirstClass4.

Flexfam:
We believe flexible working is key to building the Oxfam of the future, so we’re open to talking through the type of flexible arrangements which might work for you. We think this role would work particularly well as partially home-based. We currently use a hybrid approach with staff coming to the Oxford office 2-4 times a month.
