As an Internal Auditor, you will carry out detailed financial audits across a wide range of social care settings, including residential care, supported living, and extra care services. This is a hands‑on, varied role that involves significant national travel and provides the opportunity to directly observe and influence financial practices in frontline services, both safeguarding and empowering the people who we support.

Working largely independently during service visits, you will review financial records, assess financial controls, identify areas of concern or risk, and support services to improve their governance and compliance. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and frontline staff, offering guidance, problem‑solving support, and training where required.

Your work will help ensure that individuals receiving financial support, each with different levels of capacity, experience safe, empowering, and well‑managed financial care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and unplanned financial audits nationwide, typically completing three audits per week (including occasional overnight stays).

The role

The post holder will work alongside our Co-Executive Director, Head of Legal and Legal Administrator in developing and managing Foxglove’s legal work. You will develop and drive forward a significant number and range of cases, including the development of case theories, investigating and collecting evidence, drafting correspondence, evidence and submissions. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing external legal teams, in multiple jurisdictions. This will require you to have the comfort and ability to navigate diverse settings, while also having the insight to weigh up the benefits and challenges of pursuing cases in different jurisdictions. You will serve as an external representative for Foxglove’s work, writing and speaking on topics of relevance. You will also be a sparring partner for others in the team, bringing a creative mindset and political savviness. UK and international travel are required. Flexibility with working hours will sometimes be needed.

Case Development and Management

• Build connections, and listen to affected communities, unearth and pursue issues caused by tech injustice, coming up with innovative legal solutions.

Person Specification

Essential

• Substantial experience in legal practice and conducting litigation and a demonstrated understanding of litigation strategies.

Length and Salary

The role is permanent. The annual salary is £88,400 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Our team works remotely, and this role can be based anywhere. We would prefer you to work within or close to UK office hours, but this is flexible. Our team travels every two months for team days and twice a year for team retreats. This role will include significant UK and international travel. About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Finance and Corporate Governance, the Head of Governance, Compliance, and Risk will ensure robust governance, compliance, and risk management across Christian Aid and its subsidiaries which enables effective decision making.

The post-holder will be the the trusted advisor and subject matter expert in corporate governance on behalf of the Board, overseeing legal and regulatory compliance, develops and implementing a comprehensive risk management framework, and leading an internal audit programme that fosters organisational learning. The role will enhance and protect Christian Aid’s reputation and financial integrity while embedding best practices in governance and compliance.

Some of the main areas of responsibility for the Head of Governance, Compliance, and Risk include:

• Support effective trustee succession planning, effective Board meetings, and support for the Governance and Nominations Committee to ensure effective Board Governance.
• Provide expert advice on legal structures for subsidiaries, including Christian Aid Ireland.
• Provide high quality briefings with suggested solutions having sought professional advice where more specialist knowledge is required
• Establish and implement a comprehensive risk management framework including registers and appetite statements to guide directorate-level risk management.
• Develop a compliance culture covering data protection, money laundering, counter-terrorism, sanctions management, fraud prevention, and misuse of funds.
• Complete all regulatory filings (Charity Commission, OSCR, Companies House, ICO) within deadlines to avoid penalties.
• Implement an agreed internal audit plan reviewed by the Audit and Risk Committee to ensure assurance over key controls.

Artswork is looking for a Data Protection & Impact Manager to lead Artswork’s approach to data so we operate safely and legally, and so that data informs every area of our work, shapes our planning, and enables us to demonstrate the impact of our programmes. This role works closely with the Evaluation & Impact Manager, and focuses specifically on data protection, data analysis and data reporting e.g. to funders. 

We are looking for someone to lead on data analysis and data protection within Artswork, embedding a data-led approach to our work. Working closely with the (part-time) Evaluation & Impact Manager, you will not only provide expertise in data generation across the organisation but also insightful analysis of the data to feed into the organisation’s strategic decision-making. You’ll be skilled in using tools that enable us to aggregate, manipulate and visualise data. You’ll be able to generate reports at different levels, from overviews to granular detail, and you’ll be willing and able to do accurate, capable data entry when needed (for example onto funders’ reporting platforms). You’ll liaise with other teams around their data requirements, particularly the Co-CEOs, Fundraising and Sales & Marketing. You’ll also lead on Data Protection for the organisation, training team members, generating ​‘how to’ guides for colleagues and ensuring that our data protection policies and procedures are updated and compliant with current legislation. 

Main Responsibilities:

Strategy 

• Embed a data-led approach across Artswork, ensuring data is used to inform organisational planning, prioritisation and decision-making. 
• Collaborate with the Evaluation & Impact Manager to align data generation, evaluation activity and reporting cycles, ensuring coherence across programmes. 
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve organisational data systems, tools and processes so that they are fit for purpose, efficient and scalable.

Data analysis and treatment

• Carry out accurate data entry when required, including into funder platforms and monitoring systems.

• Support consistent reporting cycles (quarterly/annual as required), including monitoring returns and KPI reporting. 
• Contribute data and insight to funder reporting, including accurate entry onto funders’ platforms and the production of supporting evidence. 
• Generate reports at different levels (headline dashboards through to detailed breakdowns) to support operational planning and strategic decisions. 
• Work with Fundraising and Sales & Marketing to align impact evidence with funding priorities and communications needs, providing statistics, summaries and insights. 

Data Protection compliance 

• Lead on Data Protection for the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures. 
• Maintain, implement and regularly review data protection policies, procedures and guidance, ensuring they are practical and compliant. 
• Train and onboard staff on data protection requirements, creating accessible ‘how to’ guidance and providing ongoing support to colleagues. 
• Support and advise on appropriate data handling, including lawful bases, consent, retention, deletion and secure storage.
• Work with the Finance & Operations team and external IT provider to review and implement new data security requirements, including mapping software use and implementing new data protection controls.

The Opportunity

You will lead the development and delivery of an integrated, organisation-wide approach to quality, safety, safeguarding and great practice. This role brings together quality assurance, safeguarding, safety and practice into a clear and consistent approach across a complex, national organisation.

You will drive and oversee quality, safety and governance systems that support them. You will maintain clear oversight of performance, risk and compliance, and provide assurance, insight and challenge to the Executive Team and the Board. You will ensure regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and health and safety systems are robust, responsive, and consistently upheld, but, importantly, rooted in the understanding that all of this is to make sure that the people supported have great lives.

Working closely with operational leaders, you will identify underperformance and support improvement. You will use data, audits, incidents, and feedback to generate insights and drive continuous improvement. You will also help shape a shared understanding of what great practice looks like across services.

About the role

Reporting in to the Campaigns Advisor, the Campaigns Officer will lead on the delivery of Christian Aid campaigns aimed at both movement building (through the development of supporters’ agency and ability to lead campaigns), and mobilisation (encouraging key audiences in the church and the wider to public to achieve strategic policy, legislative and culture change).

The post-holder will be develop and deliver high impact plans, tactics and activities that align with the strategies developed for campaigns, in relation to supporting churches and community groups (with a focus on Black Christians, Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches, and young adult Christians) and mobilising supporters to engage advocacy targets in political, private sector or in church environments.

Some of the main areas of responsibility for the Campaigns Officer include:

• Develop and implement movement building and mobilisation strategies, tactics and plans for Christian Aid's core campaigns, proactively identifying opportunities for meaningful change.
• Materials are created, communications events are developed and delivered, and campaign tools are rolled out for target audiences that engage and inspire a deeper understanding of how to approach global justice and poverty issues; and that engage and inspire them to undertake campaign actions and maximise impact.
• Organising opportunities are developed, tested and learnt from to support churches and other public audiences in the delivery of core campaigns.
• Digital opportunities are maximised to mobilise church and other public audiences at scale to influence advocacy targets on core campaigns.
• Young Adult Christians are resourced and supported, deepening their understanding about issues of global justice and poverty, and empower their own agency to tackle these issues and to be a key part of campaigns.
• Organising and power building principles are embedded in campaign strategies and tactics and meet organisational values and goals.
• Ensure coalition campaigning is influenced and/or led (where appropriate) by Christian Aid and meets organisational values and goals.
• Campaigns Volunteer roles are created, recruited and effectively managed, creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with staff across IPE, ensuring they are supported to engage their key audiences and involved with movement building and mobilisation, embracing a team mindset aligned with organisational values and goals.

About the role

Reporting in to the Global Programme & Partnership Lead, the Programme Impact & Portfolio Management Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the effective implementation of Christian Aid’s unrestricted funded projects and programmes, valued at over £10 million, including signature programmes and other incubative funding mechanisms under Christian Aid’s unrestricted portfolio.

The post-holder will provide comprehensive support across all stages of our ‘signature’ programmes and programmes under unrestricted portfolio, brining deep global and regional experience to lift programme portfolio management across the organization. The role supports the global programme and partnership lead in managing the full programme cycle from design to closure, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and policies, ensuring consistency and coherence.

The role also involves supporting capacity building for our Multi Country Cluster (MCC) and global staff, contributing to programme information management systems, and engaging in cross-organisational initiatives to enhance programme quality and excellence. The role supports the global programme and partnership lead in coordinating cross-functional teams across MCC and global enabling functions, ensuring coherent and quality programme delivery across the unrestricted portfolio to achieve the greatest impact under the new strategy.
