About the Role
The Director of Grants and Operations is a senior role within the Jack Petchey Foundation with responsibility for leading our operations, partnerships and grant-making. You will ensure that our operations are agile, efficient, effective, forward-looking and robust. In addition, you will have strategic responsibility for ensuring our grants and partnerships teams deploy over £10m pa to benefit young people and strengthen the youth sector across London and Essex.
As a member of the Executive Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our ambitious strategy, expanding our impact and investing more through JPF’s proven grants and partnerships. You will work to ensure that JPF programmes benefit more young people, particularly in areas and groups with the greatest need.
We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of building and improving highly effective operations functions within complex organisations. You will bring strategic vision and operational excellence, ensuring that our systems and processes are robust, inclusive and future-focused. With significant experience in digital transformation, financial oversight and people leadership, you will know how to create the infrastructure that enables impact at scale. At the same time, you will be motivated by our mission, committed to youth empowerment, comfortable leading high volume grant programmes, developing programmes to fill identified gaps, and skilled at translating strategy into practical action.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
You will provide strategic leadership to our operations, partnerships and grant-making, ensuring that JPF
achieves maximum positive social impact through our programmes, funding and operational delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Operational Leadership
Lead the strategic development and implementation of operational infrastructure, including HR, IT, digital
systems and facilities.
Lead and oversee digital transformation and the efficient and effective use of CRM systems to support
effective decision-making and operational delivery.
Ensure robust, efficient and inclusive systems, policies, and procedures that drive organisational
effectiveness and resilience.
Ensure systems are user-friendly and future proof.
Financial Leadership
Provide executive-level oversight of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis and reporting.
Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure strong financial controls and risk management systems.
Grant Making and Partnerships
Lead strategic oversight of JPF’s small grants programmes (>£5m pa to over 1500 schools and youth
organisations) as well as our 16 partnership programmes (>£4m pa) and paid youth sector internship
programme.
Identify and develop innovative partnership models that align with the Foundation’s mission, vision,
values and theory of change.
Lead the management and implementation of JPF’s c£2m new legacy grants programme.
Ensure grant-making processes are efficient, from application to evaluation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery partners, funders and with the sector.
People and Culture
Lead, manage, and support staff across the Grants, Partnerships and Operations functions, fostering a
high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team culture.
Foster staff wellbeing and bring excellent judgement and good humour to your work.
Champion continuous improvement, learning and data-driven decision-making.
Work to embed youth-centred approaches, safeguarding, equity and inclusion across the organisation.
Organisational Leadership
Actively contribute to strategic planning and organisational leadership as a member of the Executive
Team.
Represent the Foundation at events and engagements and act as an ambassador.
Undertake other duties in line with the role as organisational needs evolve.

The IT systems and infrastructure transition lead will lead on the implementation of the key strands of the recently completed strategic review of IT services at Fulham Palace. The strategy and its outputs are part funded by external grant making organisations.
We are looking for a candidate who is qualified by experience or who has a degree in an IT related field. You should have a strong IT project delivery background with a proven track record of successful technology integration and transformation projects. You should be resilient, solution focussed and highly organized to enable delivery and testing within a 6-month period.
Reporting to the estates and facilities manager (EFM), you will be responsible for developing and executing plans, collaborating with all departments, training staff and volunteers and ensuring the adherence to all the new policies and standards developed.

Personal Profile
This is a leadership role at a pivotal moment in Screen Share’s journey. The role is funded to deliver our current Digital Skills programme, with a strong focus on quality, impact and evaluation. At the same time, we are awaiting the outcome of several significant funding applications. If successful, these will enable us to expand the programme quickly, positioning the postholder as the Head of a national digital skills programme with a larger team and greater leadership remit.

The available role
As a Digital Systems Technician you will play a key role providing essential support across the organisation’s digital systems and IT infrastructure. You will resolve complex technical issues, maintain hardware and software, and assist with system upgrades and digital transformation projects. Working closely with colleagues, you will ensure a secure, stable, and efficient IT environment, supporting staff and volunteers to confidently use digital tools, while helping the organisation maximise technology benefits and maintain compliance with data protection and cybersecurity policies.
The successful candidate will have:
· A Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification, or substantial practical experience in IT support and systems administration.
· Proven experience supporting digital systems, IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and peripherals in a multidisciplinary environment.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues swiftly under time constraints.
· Experience working in a Windows environment and with software such as Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Sophos (security and VPN).
· Working knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and lifecycle management.
· Experience supporting digital transformation projects.
· Understanding of Information Governance, confidentiality, and Data Protection standards, combined with practical knowledge of cyber security frameworks.
Familiarity with SQL environments and ETL workflow tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is desirable, along with experience of working with a healthcare or charity sector organisation.
The role is available 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm (Friday 4pm finish), on a salary of £31,049 - £33,298 per annum. You may need to work the occasional late night or weekend when there is a specific business need or in some instances to deal with an emergency. Part time applicants my be considered.

Job Purpose
Volunteering Matters have been working in collaboration with South of Enterprise Scotland (SOSE) to pilot Enterprising Futures in Dumfries and Galloway and due to the success of the work we are expanding this work into The Scottish Borders. With the support of SOSE, we are launching a new project, Enterprising Futures Scottish Borders, where we will use our tried and tested model to enable people to work to remove those barriers, build confidence and introduce the idea of starting their own business.
Our aim is to ensure a better future for all and that the region thrives with economic productivity. From our learnings from Dumfries and Galloway, we are launching a pilot which creates a pipeline for additional and flexible support, empowering women and those from under-represented groups, by introducing the idea of starting their own business.
Our part time Engagement Manager will create a warm referral pathway wherein they attend training events and sessions with Pathways Coaches alongside potential clients, ensuring a smooth and trusting transition to SOSE’s support, stepping back when trust is built. We will support people in the Scottish Borders who experience barriers to education, training, and employment.
As our Engagement Manager, you will directly support people aged 16+ who may have complex and challenging barriers to securing a positive pathway. This will include barrier identification and removal and where appropriate provide pre volunteering activity as well as volunteering placements in their local area.
You will engage with local people from under-represented groups in The Borders to realise their dreams and take active steps toward self-employment. Volunteering Matters’ individualised support adapts to the needs of each client whether this is additional funding, support to attend meetings, confidence building, or skills development in a supported volunteering placement. The person-centred, place-based approach to individual support is central to this partnership and leads to meaningful and sustainable impact for all.
Where appropriate you will create bespoke and tailored volunteering opportunities with third sector partners to enable people to build their skills and confidence to take that first step into exploring employment

· Research and deliver volunteering opportunities to meet the needs of specific client teams of volunteers, ensuring they are impactful and safe.

About the role

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. Responsibilities
Strategy, vision and leadership
- Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.

In this role, you will not only oversee the financial health of the charity, but also shape the systems, people strategy, and resources that underpin everything we do. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding robust and transparent financial management, driving operational excellence, and ensuring that our people and infrastructure are fully equipped to deliver our ambitious goals.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team covering finance, HR, IT, and facilities, providing clear direction and supportive leadership. With direct line management of the Finance Manager, HR & Governance Manager, and Senior Project Manager and Evaluation Lead, you will ensure that all areas of Finance and Resources operate efficiently, sustainably, and in close partnership with colleagues across the charity.
The Person
This role will suit someone who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and impact. You may already be working at Director level, or you may be ready to step up from leading a senior finance, HR, or operations function in a larger organisation. Either way, you will bring the vision and experience to strengthen Beat’s foundations and the drive to help us reach new heights.
- Proven experience working as part of an Executive Team to lead an organisation, shaping strategy and delivering results through cross-functional collaboration.
- Significant experience leading organisation-wide HR strategy and operations, with a proven ability to build an inclusive, high-performing culture. CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience leading finance in a complex organisation, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector to ensure long-term financial sustainability. Qualified accountant (CCAB-recognised body: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent senior-level financial management experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence colleagues, Trustees, and external partners.
- Sound understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to Beat’s mission, values, and to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion.

Interim Director of Finance & Operations (Environmental Charity, Home based in England)
Contract: Interim circa £500 a day ltd company, or £75k per annum PAYE , 4-day week, approximately 9-month assignment. Weekly travel to London.
The Opportunity
An exceptional interim Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) is sought to join at a pivotal moment in this organisation’s journey.
Operating in a challenging financial context, with a deficit budgeted for the current financial year following a major change programme, the incoming DFO will play a critical role in restoring financial stability, strengthening governance, and ensuring robust infrastructure across finance, IT, facilities and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership of Finance, IT, Governance and Facilities, ensuring development and implementation of strategies and effective practices across all operational areas.
- Drive financial recovery and sustainability: deliver robust financial planning, budgeting, reporting and control processes, while providing clear and strategic advice to the Board and Executive Director.
- Lead on governance, including regulatory compliance, Board reporting, and supporting a review of the organisation’s dual legal structure (limited company and charitable trust).
- Oversee people management within the Finance team, ensuring high performance, effective development, and clear leadership through a period of significant change.
The Candidate
- Professional accountancy qualification and significant leadership experience at Director level, ideally including the charity sector.
- A strong track record of restoring financial stability and leading organisations through periods of financial and cultural change.
- Experience of managing governance, compliance, IT and central services.
- Excellent judgement, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex issues (e.g. disciplinary/capability cases, compliance matters, decision-making in ambiguity).
